My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night December 22nd 2008. It was well located centrally for Copacabano Beach. The hotel was a little basic but was clean and the beds were comfrotable.They were doing some building work in the dining room and Foyer area but this didnt disturb us at all. We had a large room with a seperate dining area. The shower was very good. The air Conditioning unit was working but all the controls had been removed so it was none adjustable.The included buffet breakfast was good. All the staff were friendly and helpfull. We had a late flight 11.30 pm and the hotel stored our luggage all day while we were out sightseeing.They booked us a taxi to the airport which cost 60 reals. Hotel to Airport took approx 40 minutes. The internet in our room kept disconnecting,but the Hotels computer in the lobby was fine,but expensive. Overall we were very happy with this Hotel and would stay there again.We thought it was very good value for money and Rio is fantastic.

Very, very small room. Had to put my suitcase next to the bed which at that side gave no more access to the bed. To open your suitcase have to place it on the bed as in the room no space. Wireless internet keep disconnecting and it takes a long time to reconnect.messenger or Skype conversations almost impossible because of that. Room at the 14th. floor when it rained water entered under the door and came up through the drains in the bathroom. Whole room flooded. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

Room was OK but small. The road it is on is very local which can be a little intimidating. Breakfast buffet was good.

Good deal. It would be nice to have free internet. Important to change every day the sheets. You can arrive by bus, cool.

The location was in a very safe area, easily accessible to the beach with lovely restaurants nearby. The rack rate was 6 times the price we paid on the net. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The breakfast were very good with lots of choices. I would stay there again.

The main disadvantages: The pool is closed too early and opened too late. Nice staff, well speaking English, good food:D

In hotel everything as expected. However, we had reserved two double and one twin room, but they did not know that and had no twin room free...

Noisy airconditioners ; windows in rooms not sealed properly and outside street noise can be heard inside. for a fourstar hotel very poor hotel !

While the hotel service was good and the staff helpful and the hotel clean and comfortable we found ourselves a bit uneasy with some of the street people in the streets of Rio. While the sites of Rio are unbelievable, I am not sure whether I will return there due to safety concerns.

Well located hotel, staff very helpful and speak high level of English (to Brazilian standard). Rooms are nice but a bit worn - but seems like they are renovating at the moment.

The staff was excellent. The hotel was a little shabby and the decor is outdated. If it wasnt for the helpful staff and english speaking ability it would have been a bad stay. I reccomend this hotel.
