This hotel is outdated. It is old and not very appealing to the eyes. Everything in the room feels old (not dirty just old). The rooms are very small compared with other hotel rooms that I have stayed in. The pool is also very small (maybe about 5 people can fit in it comfortably). There is only 1 restaurant on the premise that served average quality food and drinks. The free continental breakfast consisted of mini muffins, toast and jam, watered down orange and pineapple juice, coffee, and orange and pineapple slices (breakfast is not even worth getting up early for). The location of the hotel is prime though, just a few short steps to the city bus stop which can take you just about anywhere on the island of Oahu. The staff is friendly and they will hold your luggages for the day if your flight leaves later that evening so that you can still go and have fun. You get what you pay for, this hotel is less than $100 a day if you book with Orbitz. I only found 2 good thing about this hotel the staff was fairly friendly and the location is fairly desirable, close to the bus stop, shopping malls and restaurants, but still about 3 blocks from the waikiki beach. One more quick advice (Do not book any tour with Dr. K tours!!!) He is a very unsafe driver and almost got into 2 accidents when he picked us up to go snorkeling on one of his tours). Save some money and take the shuttle to and from the airport. Roberts Hawaii Shuttle will pick you up from the airport and drop you off at your hotel room and pick you up from your hotel to drop you off at the airport for $15 round trip. Buy the round trip ticket for this shuttle and they will only charge you $15. Taxi can cost $35 each way!! ride the shuttle and save some money. It is easy and convenient (make sure you call and make reservation 1 day before your depature date from Waikiki back to the airport. Buy the (4 day) bus pass from the ABC convenient store located throughout Waikiki and take the bus everywhere!!! If you don't m

Great location to Waikiki shops and restaurants. Good continental breakfast. NoDVD player, getting old but still of good quality. Overall the location is great for the money. Short walk to the heart of Waikiki, 2 blocks from the beach. Cable TV but no DVD player. Shower was a hand held wand in a tub. Clean, comfortable, great location.

The Hotel was in a good location and the staff wee very helpful. The hotel is not a newer design but had been renovated. The rooms were large and bathroom facilities were very good. The Hotel provides a hospitality room to 'freshen up' if you have a late flight and have checked out before this. We would stay again at this hotel.

Room key broke and it took 2 hours to get in. None of the staff helped me and responded to my request to fix it as soon as possible. Very very bad customer service, I will never stay there again.

The hotel is 1/2 block from the bus stop that can take you to all the main attractions on Oahu. It is located about 3 blocks from the ocean. I found it quiet and clean and have no complaints to make. I had an enjoyable time.

The Jacuzzi in the room was very nice. No Wi-Fi connection restricted computer usage to the small desk. Very nice accommodations with an excellent location. It's in walking distance to numerous hot spots, and less than $5 taxi rode to others. This is the location for anyone looking to put their finger on the pulse of Waikiki.

This hotel is in dire need of updating. The refrigerator was rusty and growing mold making the whole room smell. The bathtub which was described as a full sized oval jacuzzi tub was actually a dingy, pink, tiny, rectangular tub which had mildew under the faucet. We asked to see another room immediately and the front desk let us know that they had nothing else available. He did not offer to have our room cleaned or even offer us a discount he just acted like we were out of luck. Also, the surround sound that they advertised as playing hawaiian music as we entered was not playing and was a very outdated bose system with two front speakers. The wallpaper was peeling and yellowed from cigarette smoke. Also, the non-smoking policy was clearly not enforced as our hallway constantly reeked of smoke. The saving graces of this hotel was that the valet parking was inexpensive compared to other hotels, the location was within walking distance to the beach and the main shopping street, and the continental breakfast was always pleasant. If this hotel was updated and cleaned properly it would be a steal but I would not be willing to stay here again considering the issues we had our first time around.

I was on a personal trip just to treat myself, relax, and do some shopping. Staying at the Waikiki Joy was perfect - it was quiet, and the pleasant, friendly staff were very helpful and accomodating. I was even surprised to be able to check in not just my bag early, but was also given the room 4 hrs. prior to check in time! I thought that was very generous. The hotel has a private, quaint, and personal atmosphere, that makes you feel at home. The convenience of having your own jacuzzi bathtub in the room was wonderful! The hotel is situated close to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and even bus transportation. I definitely plan to return here time and time again. The "Waikiki Joy" certainly lives up to it's name!

Comfortable rooms and convenient location. No good view and can get street noise sometimes. The name Resort quest is quite deceptive as this hotel is nothing close to a resort. But as a regular economy hotel, is pretty good with convenient location.

Hotel was nicer than expected. Perfit location. Close to everything. Open area for contential breckfast is very nice. There is a pond full of fish, and lot's of beautiful plants in the entry way. Pool is small, but who want's to swim in the pool when Waikiki Beach is only a few blocks away. Our room was cleaned everyday. And I really enjoyed the jet bathtub for soaking tired feet. Also, liked having a safe to keep things in. The front desk staff was very helpful in arranging shuttle service to anywhere we wanted to go. If you have a late flight, they will hold your luggage in a secure room, and a place to clean up before you leave for the airport. Then only thing you need to be aware of is they do require a 200.00 hold on your credit card when you check in. It is refunded when you leave if there are no damages to your room. Other than that, will stay again and have already reconmented this Hotel to other people.

The Resortquest Waikiki Joy was small, but acceptable for the money. It was under renervations during our stay and had staging at the entrance and lobby area, which was alittle shoddy. The rooms were very clean and of good size, and the jacuzzi bathtub was great. There was a newspaper every morning and a free continental breakfast, which was good. I feel the hotel needs alittle updating. It is in walking distance to the beach, shopping, resturants, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is an older property that needs to be updated. The location is great, with most things within walking distance. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful.

Although it was going through some renovating, we were very pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Staff was more than accommodating. Rooms were very clean and nice. We will definitely stay there again. Centrally located to restaurants and shopping. Valet parking only.

Although the beds were fairly uncomfortable, the hotel room itself was alright. Nothing spectacular nothing devastating. The beds were pretty uncomfortable. The room was clean and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Not the worst part of town and was really close to many decent areas of town. The hotel was old and showed its age.

The hotel staff were very friendly/helpful. The entry/lobby was veryappealing to the eye with beautiful plants/greenery everywhere. The rooms were fine however the wallpaper could use either some cleaning/changing. The continental breakfast was convienent for us because once you get to that beautiful island you don't want to spend much time inside . I would like to say that your staff were absolutely WONDERFUL !! Our honeymoon was 2-15-07-2-20-07 and it was nothing but a wonderful experience !!!!!! This hotel is blessed with great staff !! We'll be returning !!!!

The fact that the hotel is across from Waikiki Beach, is a definite plus and the time spent in a small room with a impressive view of the ocean, becomes a more pleasant and comfortable vacation. The location of the hotel and walking distance to activities around the beach becomes a definite good time.

"Location was great! Walking distance to main strip and beach. Rooms need a face lift, kind of out dated. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Pool was smaller than I expected."

The ResortQuest Joy Waikiki Hotel was an excellent choice for our first stay in Hawaii. The location is excellent and a short walk to the beaches, shopping, and eating places. We enjoyed the morning continental breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. While ResortQuest Joy is not the newest or largest hotel in the area, it provides a more leisurely and homey atmosphere, perfect for relaxing in the somewhat hectic pace of Waikiki. We would certainly return to this hotel when/if we get a chance to again visit Oahu. A good value for the money.
