The room was a little small but was perfect for us as a couple on out Honeymoon. There are a lot of mirrors and when laying in the bed, you see the ocean! What a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning. Also, has sliding glass doors that make up a whole wall of the room that open up to a balcony overlooking the Waikiki area and ocean! Absolutely breathtaking! Would def. stay here again. Very close to everything!

The hotel is in a good location. The pool is on the roof. Its okay for a short stay.

The bed was not too comfortable, especially the sofa bed. The springs of the mattress was annoying. The couch was more comfortable. The extra blanket was not clean. The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach and other amenities. Public transportation in the area is great! Hotel service was excellent with problems resolved within 24 hours. The staff were friendly, especially the cleaning staff. Nice well kept recreation room. If the price is right, I will be happy to stay there again.

We have stayed in this building 2x's and would come back in a heartbeat. The location is great and close to the main bus loop. The staff is very helpfull. Pool was great. Would go through the main rental, not private next time as room not cleaned as much as last time. When we stayed last time room cleaning happened every day and they even gave you dish soap. Private rental didn't.

Staff was helpful, they knew the area and could always give me excellent directions. Oahu bus service is great and easy to use. Minimal parking in Waikiki. Unfortunatly there was some construction going on that we didn't know about right outside our room (we arrived after working hours). Also the hotel add said airport shuttle. it made it sound like the hotel had its own shuttle available not just on the shuttle route for $11 p/person. all in all, okay place to stay but I would definitely check on construction stuff again. we couldn't use the lanai on weekdays and had to keep the drapes shut.

Right next to diamond head in Hawaii. Old, needed updating, parking wasnot good. The staff was friendly. Upon arrival, we were notified the room was not available and were moved 4 blocks away after paying $12 parking fee. The parking deck itself is confusing and access to elevators is not available to those who have not checked in yet.

the cleanliness of the hotel was ok but the decoration and ambiance are getting a litte "tired"

This is not a hotel of the normal sense, but a condo. The rooms are not very large and are a bit on the older side, but overall they are not too bad. Depending on the price level, you'll either get a city view or an ocean view. The hotel is 2 blocks north of Waikiki Beach and near lots of restaurants and shops. It is somewhat difficult to find - be sure to Mapquest it or use a GPS device. The parking garage is small, narrow and not a lot of parking. It costs $ a night and uses a machine to take your money (didn't work very well when I was there). The pool is on the top level (requires one flight of stairs - the elevator doesn't go to the top) and is pretty nice. You'll get a nice view of Honolulu from there. But if you want Honolulu on a budget, you'll get a nice room for not a lot of money.

Hotel is in a great location, and suite was very pleasant to spend 8 nights in. Staff was also very pleasant and accommodating. Desk clerks Cherly and Wes graciously and expeditiously relocated us to a different suite from the one initially assigned in order to meet our requested preferences. Although noise at night was sometimes a little disturbing, and parking facility was somewhat restrictive, we were highly satisfied with our experience at this hotel.

Staff is helpful with getting cabs and providing beach amenities. Air conditioners were positioned to blow right on the sleepers. Greta location for the price. Decent room for 2 can fit 4 with the sleeper. Decent TV, but must pay for internet. Air conditioner a wall unit directly adjacent to the bed, to cold or too breezy. Shower made a strange noise with water pressure. Saw one roach. However, the place is staffed with an excellent and friendly crew.

Clean and tidy apartment style, well equipped kitchen. Fantastic location, very close to Waikiki beach. Very good value for money. Would definetely stay there again.

Our family stayed at this hotel for a week in April. View from the room had a good view of the ocean and beach. Great location. Centrally located and next to shops, restaurants and stores. Very short walking distance to the beach. Hotel is very clean. Staff are very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The room was not clean, it was dusty and gives you a feeling of not wanting to touch anything. The first time we were in this hotel, it was nicer and cleaner. But otherwise, the staff were nice and checking in was a breeze. The strongest point in this hotel is it's location. Everything is nearby and the beach is just a block away. If you book a one bedroom, oceanview you will have a nice view of waikeke and the mountains.

I have stayed at Pacific Monarch several timews ovewr the Years.Fantastic Position,Great lay out of our 1 Bedroom appartment.Great balcony.Very convenient Shopping for Food type Items.Very convenient for any shopping,Waikiki Beach, all mayor Hotels,Very convenient for Bus Transport(important in Honolulu)most busses stop outside Hotel. Criticism:They need to update the Hotewl as it shows its age.Dispite this we would stay there again.Price a little High but OK.

This is a great location - in the middle of everything and one block away from the beach. I was planning on renting a car, but I didn't need it. The city bus takes you every where and the tour deals are great! Save your money don't spend it on the car rental and parking fees. The hotel stuff was very friendly. The only thing was the hot tub was broken for the whole time I stayed in????? I was not convinced they were in any hury to fix it, but probably didn't want to maintain it? I suggest you stay here if you are looking for something with good price, clean and great location, just call and make sure all the facilities are up and running.

We went Snorkeling, Dole's Pinapple Maze, Shopping up town, Pearl Harbor, Then we went on a seven day cruise on Pride Of America to all the island. Wish we had more time to stay there. This was our five cruise and this was very nice.

Staff was friendly, convenient, bright, safe, adequate view. Very nice for a 2 star hotel. It is family friendly and convenient to the ocean. Staff was friendly. Not much information is provided by the hotel in the room to assist with the area.

The Pacific Monarch was more than we expected, great location, city bus and tour buses picked you up right in front, no need to rent a car, beach, shopping, dining, and groceries all within a few blocks. Very clean and friendly hotel staff. Kitchen was nice, had coffee in the room and a newspaper at the door every morning.

The room was clean and we had a great view of the ocean, although the decor was a little outdated.
