went to the hotel on a short vacation. upon getting to hampton beach we realized this may have been a mistake. It's like a whole other race of people... very strange and trashy. Ashworth looked nice but when we got there we waited what seemed like a lifetime to check in and the room wasn't even ready when we got there which was 3 (check in is AT 3). Offered us a different room that was ready now however it was smaller, front desk staff seemed flustered as though they didn't have time for us and the head manager Jen was extremely rude and acted like she was better than every one else, like we were idiots for being upset our room wasn't ready on time! When got in the room it was a mess, the coffe pot was filthy, the balcony was dinky and it just looked overall grungy. When we decided to eat at the bar it was a mistake, food took forEVER to get and wasn't even that great. Overall the hotel is WAY overpriced for what you actually get plus there really isn't much to do in hampton anyway. I will never return to this hotel and I advise anyone who reads these awful reviews (there are many) to take their advice and spend your money somewhere else!

we started our mini vaca in Boston to see the Sox(theyy won)the trip north the next morning was a piece of cake and we were there in no time..from the hotel we traveleed to maine and had a terrific time along the coast..the beach at the hotel was beautiful and we lucked out with a few hot days. Our room was in the old building,ist floor,no balcony and we had a view of the mechanicals of the building..the rest of the hotel was fine clean and the staff was helpfulLocal lobsters at Browns down the road was very good

Great place. Seems to be the nicest hotel on ocean blvd in hampton. Rooms were very up-to-date in styling. the food was great and it's in one of the best spots in hampton.

It was my first stay at The Ashworth By The Sea and I found the hotel to be a wonderful, warm and friendly place to stay. The staff was great and very friendly and even though there was a party going on at the hotel it seemed very quiet and peaceful.
