Ashwood Grange, TorquayVery good on all counts! The owners were friendly & helpful, the whole building clean, comfortable & well furnished. Breakfast good, and they have proper teapots (with separate jug of hot water), rather than those nightmarish stainless steel things! Having their own parking a boon in Torquay - although be aware that this is on a slope if you have mobility problems. There's a bus stop outside, and their situation a little outside the centre means that its easier to get out of, or around town.

very welcoming owners and also convenient for the conference centre. Excellent value considering the hospitality and standard of accomodation. Great breakfast!!

Claire and Stewart were very warm and friendly and made us feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable although the windows do need changing as it was quite noisy, being on the main road. There was a serenity about the place that helped us to relax and enjoy our stay. I would definitely go there again and in fact intend to do so in the near future.

A good, modestly priced, fairly central bed and breakfast hotel. Very friendly, helpful service. Very clean. Comfortable lounge with a view. Plentiful, convenient on street parking. Good feelings about this place.

Ashwood Grange is a lovely small hotel with the personal touch. Rooms are impressively large and neatly furnished with en-suite facilities, there's high-speed wi-fi internet access (easy to log-on & free to use), and the Full English breakfast is cooked to your own order with extremely generous portions! There's off-street parking if you've come by car - if not, it's a very short walk from Torre station. A lovely place, run with care and enthusiasm by the owners in person. Couldn't be better!

The only slight negative is that there is not enough parking spaces for the number of rooms.

Hotel was comfortable, clean and well-located to a bus-line, and just a 20 minute downhill walk to the harbour. Breakfast was hearty, and the owners were friendly and very helpful. All in all, a good hotel stay!

We stayed at the Ashwood Grange Hotel, Torquay last weekend. As it was first time we used the \"family run\" hotel we were not sure what we can expect, especially when I travel a lot on business and usually stay in one of the big hotels. I have to admit that the hotel was great, very clean, finished with taste, almost instantly giving you a \"like at home\" feeling. And what we appreciated the most was level of service. Sara and Chris were brilliant, very helpful, charming and friendly. We would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone and will stay there again if travelling to Devon.

The Ashwood Grange was a lovely place to stay, the rooms were good and the cleanliness was outstanding, as were the breakfasts, and with a short walk into Torquay it was just the right distance from the town centre. Chris and Sarah were great hosts and if we visit the area in the future we would definately stay there again.

The food could been of a slightly higher quality. i.e tastier sausage, different breads.

Ashwood Grange was easy to find and offers ample parking, we were greeted upon arrival and made to feel very welcome, our room was comfortable, well decorated and spotlessly clean it had everything that we needed including en-suite, radio, television, coffee/tea making facilities and local information. We enjoyed a full cooked breakfast each morning and when we asked for things like lemon tea and poached eggs it was not a problem. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like V.I.P.s a very enjoyable stay and at only £24 per night a bargain. Thank you
