Its the third time for me to stay at Ascott KL with my family. I look for tbe best and Ascott is definitely is one of the best in KL. It is a home like apartment with all what a traveller would need. I will be staying for the forth time coming July 2009. I have two things though need to look at. 1. The carpets need to be changed badly since my first stay back in 2003 and the same carpet are still used. 2. The internet will need to be wireless to give better flexibility in moving and browsing while seating anywhere within the apartment. One last thing is the receptionists are very friendly but there times the reception is crowded and tend to keep you waiting for long.

Didn't check in till 10pm and first room I had wasn't ready..bed unmade, kitchen dirty. Didn't think front desk handled that well. They asked me to wait until they checked with housekeeping....at 10pm, I dont want to be kept waiting until someone verifies what i already see, i just want another room. It's a decent enough place but the staff were a little clueless at times.

Initially I wasnt so comfortable about staying in Ascott as never heard of it before ... and actually had some not-so-nice experiences in so-called luxury hotel apartments. But everything changed moment I entered in my room .. it was cozy spacious one bedroom apartment with almost every single appliances and facilities that you might need ... I will rate bathrrom as 11 out of 10 ... one of the rare place where you can find 6 feet+ bathtub , pressure shower and you have to take more than 3 steps to reach for door. Separate closet area was big plus and kitchen (though I hardly used it) with dish washer would allow families to feel at home ... first time I stayed there for almost 3 months and really started feeling at home ... thanks to big TV with awsome home theatre system ... laundrette is quite cheap (7MYR token) and there is convenient shop and florist at ground floor ... and not to mention happening pub (7-Ate-9) .. Ideally sitauted 5 minute walk to KLCC and best is 22nd floor swimming pool area ... I loved the open jaccuzi most ... I could find only couple of small minuses - Internet is not free (but you can get ADSL connection for some fee) - Breakfast sux (well mostly cuz me pure veggie) - Not that good room service Rest I would rate it as one of the best I ever stayed ... I do travel alot and been to more than 20 countries and stay almost 5-6 month every year in hotel /apts.
