Thank you Arthotel an ideal place to rest my head An excellent Hotel with most helpful staff particularly the night porter who persevered with the temperamental automatic doors to the underground garage at 12.30 am after a16 hour day. . Very good value for money and a substantial breakfast .

A very pleasant hotel, clean hotel which was excellent value at just 49Euro including breakfast and internet access. The WiFi worked 100% which is great news when you are on business. The location to the main train station and metro was just 5-10mins walk. There are also plently of simple low cost places to eat which is useful when you are on your own and just want a quick byte to eat.

This is a smart, central hotel that offers good value for visitors on a budget. The recently renovated rooms are a good size and have individual art themes (though the corridor and ceilings on the 3rd floor may have been painted by an 8 year old) and gummy bears on the bed. Breakfast is a buffet of fresh bread, boiled eggs plus the usual choice of meats, cheese, cereal and yoghurt. Be careful when you go up for seconds when it's busy- my wife had her plate and room card cleared by an over keen waitress in less than a minute- when she returned they had seated someone else in her place! Overall though, a pleasant stay with courteous and helpful staff.

It would've been better had there not have been building works on our floor and being woken up by drilling every morning when they started. Electric kept going off when we were in the shower so we were showering in the pitch black. It will probably be really nice when they finish doing the work but the room we were in is probably one of those due for renovation and should have been discounted really.

Review Art Hotel MunichI enjoyed staying in this hotel. The accommodation was fine, and reasonably priced for Munich. The breakfast was wonderful, with a huge buffet, very typical of Germany. The hotel is not too far from the Main Train Station, which is convenient.

Perhaps because it was the Oktoberfest, but generally found the staff unhelpful.First impression was of broken glass on the floor of the lift.In all I have stayed in better youth hostels and paid considerabley less!!

A pleasant central hotel. The rooms are simple, but well-designed and the staff cheerful and helpful. Breakfasts are busy and noisy, with chairs scraping and crockery and cutlery rattling, but the food is very enjoyable. The three Pinakothek galleries and the lovely Lenbachhaus are a leisurely half hour's walk away.

The restaurant had a nice variety of food for breakfast. The hotel was under renovation while we were staying so perhaps this contributed to creating a mood that felt quite cold. The room and bathroom were large but fairly basic. It's only a short walk to the city centre though we didn't feel too safe in the area around the hotel.

The hotel is located near the train station and within walking distance of the historic city center. It is also easy to find when arriving by car. The neighborhood is not the nicest or particularly charming, but seemed safe. While the hotel corridors were rather run down, and the room was small and not particularly cosy (long and narrow with 4 twin beds), it was clean, quiet (two sets of doors kept out any noise from the hallway, and our window overlooked a courtyard) and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and helped us find free parking. It seemed like decent value for money for a downtown hotel.
