The hotel is not where the map states. It's actually at the top of a hill and across a park so you have to climb steps to go back from the old town. However, the hotel is great. The rooms are spacious, clean and had good facilities. We tended to go out later and stay out all day and night, then get a cab back. This isn't cheap though, about £7-£8 one way. When you go back to the airport, the hotel taxi is approx. £18 and it's £25 from the old town. Don't bother... get the metro and bus, it costs 50p and it only takes about 30mins in total, great value.

Generally excellent hotel with good & helpful staff on reception desk Unfortunately, on this last visit breakfast service in the restaurant was poor. No coffee in urn, lack of top-up of hot food trays, etc. Difficulty experienced in finding kitchen staff, who were not on station, to request assistance. Resulted in minimal, top-up to satisfy all guests in the restaurant; then staff would disappear again. in consequence process had to be repeated, just to get more coffee! To be fair, on a previous visit breakfast service was excellent

This is abeautiful hotel, but it is not in a good location for getting to the city centre and the sights. There is no direct tram or Metro connection, and to say that it is a ten minute walk is simply not true! For that reason I would not recommend it to a friend. The breakfast was superb, and my room was large, clean and comfortable. However, the only English TV programme available wa CNN, and the shower head in the bathroom fell off with monotonous regularity. The reception staff, while reasonably friendly, were most unforthcoming on the poor public transport links to town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Art Hotel and even received two free tickets to watch Sparta Prague football team who's ground is just around the corner. The art work/photo's displayed around the hotel gives a relaxing warm feeling to the hotel. We found the 10/15 minutes walk through the park into the centre no problem although this could create a problem for much older people due to the steep incline on the initial stretch out of Prague. You can catch the tram at the end of the road (Brilliant/cheap service) if feeling lazy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.Could'nt ask for any more.

Clean, good size room, good breakfast. Only minus point is location, a bit our of the way.

Classy hotel, in a quiet area (although probably not on match days as its right near Sparta's ground)3 minute walk to Tram stop Sparta, then 1 stop (2 mins) to Hradcanska, then you're just 3 stops (6 mins) to the main tourist attractions.

Pleasant & friendly staff. Booked and paid for executive room but got a standard one and couldn't change it as hotel was full. Dismal view from room into inner courtyard of other tenements.Room itself and hotel is of a high standard.
