The room was very comfy and clean at the hotel well located for Temple Bar. The hotel staff were very friendly and happy to look after our bags until we were able to check in at 2pm and made sure they were in our room when we arrived. The walls were a little thin and we could hear the television in the next room to ours.

We had a fantastic 10 day stay at the Arlington Hotel Temple Bar. The staff there is fantastic and helped us with our many questions about where to go and how to get there, etc. The traditional Irish entertainment offered in their pub is excellent, and the location is perfect for walking almost anywhere you want to go in Dublin. In 10 days, we only took a taxi to the airport and once to Killmainham Gaol. Otherwise, we walked with no problem whatsoever. If you stay here, enjoy nightlife, and are older than say 30, however, I encourage you to try the pubs off of Grafton Street, rather than the closer Temple Bar area. What the Epcot Center is to worldwide travel, Temple Bar is to Irish pubs. Get the real deal down the street only a little further. My one wish was that it was quieter at night...lots of street noise from Dame Street/Lord Edward Street -- but if you're tired enough, you can drown it all out. It's worth the location.

The location was perfect! We did a lot of walking around and were able to see many popular sites within walking distance of hotel (Guinness experience, Trinity College, Temple Bar, River Liffey, Millennium spire, etc.).

This hotel is right near Temple Bar, easy access to lots of bars, restaurants, and shops, and right near bus stops too, so none of it was too far a walk. The room was a comfortable size, though the bathroom was a bit small for two people. Lovely bathtub, great for a hot soak, and plenty of towels. The room did a little worse for the wear though, and overall looked like it could use a little renovating. There was a wall-mounted flat-screen tv and comfortable chairs. I was rather disappointed in the bed though as it was more than a little uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on top of the comforter which was much better, but I think they should get better mattresses. The only other thing that was really bad was the noise. There was no thermostat or a/c in the hotel, so we slept with the windows open and it was *very* noisy, especially with drunk people strolling the street below very late making a ton of noise! I would recommend this hotel, but if you stay here, ask for a room in the *back*!

Limited choice in restaurant, but staff very attentive and helpful. Rooms could do with being refurbished, but clean and comfortable. Traffic noise a bit of a problem at the front of the hotel, especially on the lower floors.

LiftMy only gripe would be that the lift was out of order the whole stay, which didn't bother my group but would have been bad for older people on the 2nd and 3rd floors

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were within walking distance of most Dublin attractions. Also very close to several interesting restaurants and nightspots, as well as shopping. Since this is a busy area, anyone wanting complete quiet should go somewhere else. However, if you like being in the middle of all the excitement of Dublin, this is the place!

A good base for sampling all that Dublin has to offer. Although on a main road & we were at the front, it was very quiet - Good sleep had by all. Has its own nightly Irish Dancing show & its within 2 minutes walk of the highly entertaining Temple bar area - would use the hotel again in the future!

decent hotel if a bit loudask for a room on the second floor or further up if you want to escape the noise from the bar. also get one away from the air-con units!

The Hotel is right in the middle of Temple Bar, and right in the middle of all the fun. The Hotel itself has a great Bar downstairs with entertainment. Everybody was friendly. I arrived at 7am and they were able to get me right in my room. On the downside the room needed a bit more cleaning when I first got in but was taken care of pretty quickly. We couldn't figure out how to adjust the water temp in the shower and wound up taking either very cold or very hot showers most of the time. Their is no AC in the room so we had the windows open most of the time. We were on the quiet side of the hotel but still got a bit of late night noise from people wandering the streets after hours. Overall I would use this hotel again. It was great for the price.

Great weekendWe had a great stay, the staff were friendly and approachable. The room was very tidy and contempary although the bathroom felt a little dated. I would however stay again due to the great situation for all the sites and bars.

We stayed there for a week. The hotel is in an excellent location. I cannot stress enough how helpful it is to be able to walk most places in Dublin. However, our room was freezing and patrons do not have control over the temperature. The smoke alarm went off when steam from the hot shower hit it. It was noisy constantly. However, all considered... I would stay there again.

Undergoing refurbishment at time of our visit and the restaurant was not open. Lots of dust around. The hotel abuts a main road and the sound of traffic is very noisy indeed. The windows are not double glazed and the noise is therefore horrendous, even at 1 am! The rooms are quite small and the en suite was tiny. The breakfast room was playing some really terrible piped music on our first morning and it was intrusively loud. This was the last thing we needed after a sleepless night due to the traffic noise. The bedroom desk drawers were ill fitting as well. Overall I was very disappointed with this hotel. Avoid it if you can.

The hotel is located in a very convenience place for a tourist. Everything is nearby - sightseeing places, restaurants, pubs, 24hours open store. The staff is not so smily, but enough. One bad point is the shower. The shower is too weak and too hot even I set as coldest. I run a little bit hot water from a faucet to lower the shower hotness.
