The Inn, built in 1930 by Arizona Congresswoman Isabella Greenway, is still owned and operated by its founding family and continues to fulfill its original mission as a sophisticated desert retreat giving its guests comfort, privacy, quiet and sunshine. The combination of history, antiques, and architecture, has earned the Inn a listing on the National Register of Historic Places and a reputation as one of the best hotels in the world.
Lushly landscaped and brimming with charm, this 1930s resort is located in a historic neighborhood a mile from the University of Arizona campus and medical center, and 3 miles from downtown Tucson.
In warm weather, the resort hosts ice-cream socials by the 60-foot outdoor pool. Cooler months bring complimentary high tea. The acclaimed restaurant serves international and Southwestern fare.
Guestrooms are individually decorated, but all offer 1930s-inspired decor, garden views, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and refrigerators. The New York Times is delivered each morning.

History, gardens, pool, complimentary ice cream, staff, amenities. The water must have been hard water or something because it did not rinse off well. Complete resort luxury with a rich history, the Arizona Inn will pamper you in ultimate southwest style. Amenities are abundant, staff is helpful and friendly without being overly solicitous. Our room was lovely, the grounds are beautiful and the Arizona Inn has been remarkably well-preserved. I would absolutely stay there again.

"My family and I stayed at the Arizona Inn for the weekend while visiting relatives in Tucson. The location is great - about equidistant from downtown and the foothills area - with a residential feel. We loved the well-kept grounds, huge room and bath, patio area, and amenities. The place has a charming feel to it, but with the amenities of a modern hotel. The food was good, but not great."

"The setting of the Arizona Inn is everything they say. The service is outstanding as well. They upgraded us to a suite, which had a sitting room, two entrances and two patios. The buildings have character, but are well kept, and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was friendly and more than willing to help in any way possible. They gave you privacy as well. The weather was hot, but we were comfortable in the pool and our suite. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. For a romantic and nostalgic getaway, I reccommend you try it."

"When shopping for a hotel with charm, great service and off the beaten path Arizona Inn exceeded expectations. Having read reviews from other guests I felt this was the place for our one night stay in Tucson. Rich in history and in a great location that felt remote we enjoyed the stay. X, the door man is to be rated above the top rating of 5. "
