The resort is very pretty, but it is not for the 'need to get away' vacationer. When we arrived we were originally placed in the Sedona Suites which we learned later that night had 304 rooms filled with teenagers for a cheerleader camp. We were graciously moved to the Camelback Suites once we called the front desk and the party going on in the pool 4 floors below could be heard through the phone. The new suites were situated near the waterpark which proved a bit noisy as well and parking was so bad that they shuttled us to and from our car which we had to park in a completely different section of the resort. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfy. Unfortunately, I questioned the cleanliness when the kid's feet were black on the bottom after running around in the room barefoot for a few hours. The staff was polite and accommodating, and incredibly helpful with directions...we frequently got lost and disorientated in the resort. Everything did have it's price though. A bagel and oj ordered via room service ended up costing $15 with all the added fees. However, the milkshakes at the oasis water park were well worth it. All in all, it's a great place to bring kids, but not the most restful of vacations.

The comfort of the beds. Because our stay was so short I really didn't have anything I did not like. The only thing would be maybe they could have a refrigerator in the room. This was a very nice hotel. It was comfortable and accomodating. I enjoyed my stay very much.

This hotel is fun for the whole family we had a great time. A couple tips and notes: there is a height requirement for the waterslides of 48 inches both my boys, a brave 4 and 6, were not tall enough and very sad they could not ride the slide. The food at the hotel is expensive and really adds up. The pool side meals and drinks are ok but over priced. The daily resort fee really adds up too so be prepared for additional cost. Parking is free or part of the resort fee.

Excellent water park with plenty of lifeguards to have kids 10 and over be safe playing by themselves. Good service and minimal lines - great place for a family vacation.

This was a wonderful for trip for my entire family. The pool area if fabulous! To my surprise, the food and drinks at the pool were perfect were great and my all of the servers were very helpful and informed (especially Jesse). However, I was surprised to see quite a bit of trash lying around. There were even used drink cups all along the wave pool, gross.

Great, friendly staff. Mini bar not stocked. No condiments for coffee. Very nice hotel with exceptional staff. Spa was very nice. Sorry I could only stay one night.

Our family of four adults stayed at The Arizona Grand Resort for 8 nights on our spring break and enjoyed every minute. Our suite was outstanding (TV's could stand to be updated) and the daily service we received was excellent in these recently renovated suites. The entire pool area was wonderful, with a great selection of different types of water experiences (water slide, lazy river, wave pool, quiet pools throughout the resort). The entire resort was very clean and easy to navigate, with all of their employees very friendly. The fitness facility and the golf course were also great extras that we were able to take advantage of during our stay. The golf course is a little pricey, but worth the experience. I would suggest going to golfnow.com and booking a tee time the night before for a much reduced rate. The resort is located within 10-15 min. of the airport and there are lots of great eating places in surrounding areas. The only negative was the construction going on with the new lobby/registration area, but that will be completed in early April according to their staff. I would highly recommend this resort, whether you are couple of any age or a family.

This Resort has everything. From the moment you drive up, you know that you have arrived. Staff was wonderful and professional. They were a wealth of information. Where to go, where to eat, how to get there. The suites were very nice, bathroom a little tight (Not in there long), balcony was a wonderful upgrade to have. Never left the grounds for dinner, they have several restaurants that would be good for even the most hard to please eater. There are not enough wonderful things to stay about this resort. Next time I will stay longer.

We spent the weekend in Phoenix visiting our college age daughter. Even though it was 115 degrees in the city, we hardy felt it. Our room in The Villas had easy access to the water park where we spent most of our time. There were many families there with children and everyone seemed happy and well served. Kudos to all!

This is our 3rd time to visit this resort. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. It's easy to find from 1-10 and very close to the Arizona Mills Mall. My only complaint was after realizing that we only had 1 remote contol (for 2 TVs in different rooms) I requested another from the front desk which never arrived. Luckily the remote worked for both TVs. When I had a problem with the in-room safe someone from security arrived minutes after I called. He was very professional and quickly fixed the safe. The water park was great and my whole family enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return.

The overall experience was awesome. However, I need to let people know that they charge you plus tax incidental charge per day. This is not told to you when you book the stay there. It's for all the amenities that the hotel provides. The water park was great, the room service was a little slow. Housekeeping went out of their way to personalize the room when they cleaned it. The room service and the food in the wet bar are very expensive. We found that drinks and food was all expensive and I would suggest getting a cooler of your own and keeping your own snacks and drinks in it. There is plenty of shopping around the resort along with lots of other restaurants. We found the locals to be very helpful and friendly. I would also suggest staying here through the week, because on the weekend some of locals to tend to overcrowd the waterpark and pool. It's supposed to be for resort residents only, but somehow they manage to get in.

The kind of place you can spend your whole vactation without leaving. Not great onsite dining, but fine hotels not far away. This is the place to stay with kids. The suite sized rooms give a little privacy, and you might want to never leave. The Oasis is a lot of fun, and will keep the kids busy all day long. The food at the Oasis was okay, although the service to your lounge chair was pretty slow. Bring your walking shoes too, this is a big place and very spread out.

This resort is beautiful, the staff exceptional, and waterpark makes for a great family vacation. My children are 9 & 12 so the water park, which includes a zero entry pool, lazy river and two bodyslides, was just right. Check-in was a breeze even though we arrived 2 hours early. While we waited for our room the valet parked our car while we toured the resort, and enjoyed drinks at the grill. We were given our waterpark passes so we could use the park while we waited. Many bellman are available to help with luggage. We stayed in the Deluxe King poolside suite, which was gorgeous, very clean, fabulous sheets and bedding, patio, living room with pull out sofa bed, refrigerator (although it's setup as a minibar--we removed what was in the fridge and put our items in). The one item missing is a microwave, which we would have appreciated. Having two children, and eating out for every meal it would be nice to bring leftovers back to the room and reheat) We really appreciated the complimentary shuttle to two nearby malls. They'll also shuttle you back and forth to Aunt Chilada's Mexican restaurant. Considering how close this resort is to Sky Harbor Airport, I was dissappointed that they didn't provide complimentary airport transportation. The online travel website had the hands down best rate for this property and believe me I checked every site, including the hotel's. Keep in mind that this hotel has a $30/day resort fee which covers 4 passes to the waterpark, valet parking, fitness facility, and some spa access. This fee is not included in the rate and will be charged at the hotel. We felt the services provided were well worth the $30.

I have stayed at this resort on an annual basis for the past five years. The remodeling the resort recently completed made the rooms exceptionally nicer. The beds were extremely comfortable, including the hide-a-bed. The various pools and waterpark make it a great family hotel.

While the hotel was very clean and comfortable, the excessive resort fees and poor quality in-room dining food ruined this experience. There is a $30 a day resort fee, mostly for the 4 tickets a day to the on-site water park. If you are traveling on business and will not be using the water park, this is a total rip off. These fees are charged for the day you check in as well - even if you check in too late to use the water park - if you were so inclined. They do not waive the resort fees, although a lot of hotels will. By the way, expect to pay $8.50 for a yogurt parfait. The food is very pricy. Avoid the in-room dining, which was so greasy that it was largely inedible. Now, if you were traveling with kids and made a point of eating off of the property, the water park would be an ok deal at $30.00 a day for four tickets. However, this is a poor choice for the business traveler.

Overall, this place has everything you need. The suites were very clean and the ammenities were awesome. The staff was amazing and always very friendly and attentive. The water park was not open during the week however and we did have problems watching a movie in our room. The problem was never fixed even though we were charged. Location for this hotel is great. We were twenty minutes from almost everything. Would stay again.

I booked this hotel because of the attached waterpark, I was thinking that it would be better than battling with the crowds at the public waterparks. The check in was easy and the young man who guided us to the room was pleasant. The room was nice, clean and had good facilities. Hairdryer, coffee, fridge etc. We rushed down to the waterpark as soon as we had unpacked...what a disappointment. This is no more than a winding river swimming pool and 2 slides. No lockers available, people were just leaving their stuff on the chairs. It was 4pm and it was quite empty but the river was so full of empty tubes that one could hardly move around it. The unpleasantly stern guards or staff made no effort to free things up and when I got out of the tube to clear the way I was told to stay in the tube. We left after 20 minutes. We decided to try the adult pool and hot tub. The pool was so cold that I thought I was going to have a heart attack. The hot tub was so hot and full of chlorine that the skin on my leg blistered and my eyes were streaming. All in all not a successful water experience. Next day we went to Mesa to a proper waterpark. Waste of time unless you like golf.
