Our stay at the AZ Biltmore was nice and relaxed! We stayed over the 4th of July and they had a number of activities for all ages. Bed was cozy and room was large, lots of space. What I am not pleased with is how Orbitz places in very small print the extra charges you may accrue from the hotel. I booked expecting a great deal when I could have stayed an extra night with the resort fees and parking the hotel billed me for at check out. In fact they charged an additional $100 dollars over the bill and I am still awaiting those fees to drop off. Totally not satisfied with this piece of communication from both parts Orbitz and the Biltmore. May just be better off booking directly through the hotel and communicating with the staff that way you won't leave with any surprises!

I really liked the many summer activities available. Some areas are very dated, food and drink quite expensive. We went to this hotel as a weekend getaway for the family. Our daughter is 7 years old. We really liked the many summer activities planned and this is why we chose the hotel. Some parts of our room and areas of the hotel are very dated, but it is a historic hotel.

After a wonderfully idyllic stay two years ago, we made it a point to book the AB while attending a phoenix concert. The website forgot to mention that there is serious expansion going on in the hotel, and during passover it is a destination for celebrants from around the world. Can't fault the Jewish for celebrating here, but the beautiful lawns were overrun by mini softball teams, kickball. There were plenty of children running loose, and many of the facilities were off limits to those not celebrating Passover. We had visited the hotel last winter and found it was also overrrun, this time by a large fashion show. This is a beautifu hotel with beautiful grounds, but the accomodations were run down, and one of our doors did not lock. We had maintenance work on it, the door stayed closed but didnt lock. And did I forget to mention the water went out once during the day then most of that night. No running water, toilets. What a shame. We had stayed at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch in December, if we ever return to Phoenix that is where we will head. The Biltmore is a beatiful landmark, but is not being kept up, and overbooked.

For the most part, the Biltmore is a lovely old world Hotel. Our room was very clean and the staff helpful. The only drag was that on top of the $28.00 resort fee they had the nerve to charge $12.00 for self parking. Why not just charge the extra $40.00 and be honest? I'm just not sure what I was getting for that money. Have lots of money if you plan to have cocktails.

Beautiful. Ice machine hidden behind an unmarked door you had to go outside to get to. Beautiful hotel. Beautiful room.

Go and see the architecture, have a drink outside, if you can get served. But I would reconsider staying. The hotel has great character but that does not excuse the dirty rooms, dirty outdoor furniture, pool is less than clean more in line with a 3 star hotel if you take away the nice setting and lovely main building. Service was again 3 start..unattentive. It is a convention/groups hotel so if you are a family or individual you are left out. Gainey Ranch, The Pheonician or The Four Seasons Troon( just 20 mins furthur) are worthy of the 5 star status. The spa was terrible;Tatty and a disgrace. The Biltmore is a site on your siteseeing list...not a resort stay. Take your money elsewhere.

I found a great deal for this hotel on Orbtiz. I paid for this weekend away on Orbitz. When I checked into the hotel the front desk told me that all fees/rates were paid and they only needed my credit card information in case something happened to the room. Then on the day of check-out, a slip was slid under the door that stated additional charges were already charged to my credit card..."processing fees" and "resort fees" that I thought were already paid on Orbtiz. Not impressed with the hotel or with the Orbitz site.

First of all, this is a wonderful hotel. It is (or at least can be) a first-class hotel. That said, there is room for improvement: Good points: 1. The architecture and setting of the "original areas" are worth the price of admission. 2. Desk staff, room service staff, and especially the waitresses in the outdoor lounge were wonderful. 3. Rooms are well-appointed. Bad points: 1. The architecture of our original room in the newer Arizona wing was not worthy of the rest of the facility. Upkeep was typical of much cheaper hotels. Watch where you book! 2. All staff need to be trained to keep the facilities in top shape. Two staff walked right by trash laying on the ground without picking it up. 3. Room service food was good and well-presented. Lunch and appetizers in the outdoor courtyard was poor. Don't advertise heirloom tomato salad and present unripe, tasteless hothouse tomatoes. 4. Non-smoking needs to be better enforced. There are cigarette butts all over. 5. Smoking by others was our worst experience. Our first room was on the second floor of a non-smoking building. As it was a beautiful night, we left the sliding glass doors open to the outside. During the night, the party in the room below us was smoking a cigar. The next morning we woke up to find a cigarette butt that had been flung into our room from outside. It had caused a burn on the carpet. When we called the desk, the manager expressed his regrets and said security would keep watch the next night. This response did not satisfy us. The desk staff listened politely an gave us a different room. 6. The $25 resort fee was a suprise. 7. No coffee maker in rooms? No hair dryer in first room.

The hotel was very nice. The parking was uncovered, unsecured asphalt, a long way from the room and we where charged $12/day for using it.

The room was spacious and the staff very friendly. Carpet in our room was clean but worn. We had a wonderful time at the Biltmore. We had an amazing suite next to the main pool, it was a perfect location. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back.

To use a towncar to go to old town, kierland or most anywhere we paid about $42 plus tip each way.$100 a day is too much.We don't like to rent a car in a strange place so apparently people are willing to pay this to get to the airport or any attractions in scottsdale. It is too much. The pool is not well run.People reserve chairs at 5 or 6 in the AM and don't come back to use them for hours.By 10am most days you don't have chairs available yet there are 100's not being used.Very poor supervision by staff.Poor poolside service for phoenix.A four or five star hotel cannot maintain their ratings with service such as this.

a girlfriend and myself stayed at the Arizona Biltmore for a weekend, we were very pleased with our experience at the resort. We checked in on friday and checked out on monday and only left the resort grounds once on sunday night. the pools are all amazing, the catalina pool is the nicest but could have been a bit warmer. every single thing we ate was delicious. the layout is a little difficult to make a mental map of, and the self parking options are not so great, but the atmosphere and overall experience were well worth the trip and cost of our stay.

Went to Dance Convention that was at the Hotel, only negative was transportation was limited and hotel food and beverage's were overpriced. Beside that it was very good.

Super friendly staff! Upgraded our room for free because it was my wife's birthday! I have nothing bad to say about it. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. It was absolutely hassle-free from roll up to roll out. The room (which the front personnel upgraded for free upon learning that we were celebrating my wife's birthday) was clean and beautiful. Tons of space, separate tub and shower, isolated toilet, sitting area, stocked mini fridge and refreshment center, pool view, patio with seating, comfortable bed, etc. Exactly what I would expect for the money I spent and more. I didn't want to leave!

I lived in Phoenix for several year and never stayed at the Biltmore. It was a treat to stay at a fantastic hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the pools are nice, and the room was comfortable. Service could be a little better.

The hotel was fantastic. One thing I really hate is all the hidden fees. We book online at Orbitz for around 80.00 per night then when finished with the hotel we see a resort fee of $28.00 and a parking fee of $12.00. What is the ticketmaster with all the hidden fees?

Exceptional customer service. Nothing. This is one of the finest properties that I have visited. Everyone on staff made the extra effort to make every need seamless and easy. Clean, comfortable, and beautiful.
