Ardmore Hotel review August 2009I booked this hotel for 2 nights mainly for the price and it represents great value for money so as long as you don't mind a 15 minute journey into the capital of Dublin. It is very well kept and the room met my expectation for accessories and was remarkably clean. The room had a TV with UK channels plus a few more (news, sport etc). Adequate tea ane coffee making facilities and a lovely Bathroom too. I was pleasnlty suprised with the size of the room also.The hotel is on a main bus route into town and a single is 1.80 euro and a all day pass is 7.00 euro. You need to correct change (reception will change some up with you at req.For those of you who like Tesco, there is one at the back of the hotel.Overall, very good stay.

Not that close to city center BUT bus stop out side, if you are running on a budget there is a Tesco in walking distance, hotel staff very helpful, room smelt a little smokey BUT the room was clean with good facilities and a bonus locked car park

Fab tho not easy to get toFab but, tho it's only coupla miles from downtown, the only bus that's convenient there is the 140, and although it's quite frequent, it only takes you downtown, so for ie, if you need to come/go to the airport, first you need to go back to the city then change buses (no such thing as tube/trains)But still a beyond value for money hotel, everything is neat, clean, nicely done in terms of decor and the staff is helpful.Didn't try the breakfast buffet. (too expensive) PS there's a huge Tesco just at the back (5 min walk) so you can do some grocery shopping in there if you'd like.

Great value for this level of standard, convenient to airport, free parking and newness of hotel Does not have AC, hotel keeps common areas overly heated. This 3 star hotel is a great value. The rooms are clean, well decorated and has granite bathroom counters. It is very convenient to the airport about 10 minutes and has free parking. It would be a real plus if they offered free airport shuttle.

good value for money and good qualityThe directions we received from the website to the hotel brought us to the wrong place, even asking a policeman for directions was no help as he "didn't think the hotel existed"; then when I rang the hotel for directions I still could not find the hotel. Finally getting directions from my mobile google maps we found the hotel. The bus that goes "directly from front door" to city centre is not the dublin city centre bus but you have to cross dual carriageway and walk down the road to the bus-stop, which we discovered after waiting 40 minutes and the bus driver explained. The front desk staff were busy in a back room and there was no bell for attention so we waited long time for service. All in all nice hotel and good quality for money but we were lost for 1 and half hours and then with the hold up for the bus we missed the start of the concert for which we were booked.

Room was nice with great bathroom, roomy and clean, granite counters. Noise at night from barking dogs. Hotel was located a little further from airport than I wanted, room were nice and roomy and clean as were bathroom facilities. Bus close by right across the street. Restaurants werepricey.

Very nice HotelHotel Ardmore is a nice clean Hotel with friendly staff, rooms are very nice with a flat screen tv and tea & coffee making facility's and with a large comfortable double or single bed. The Hotel is in good location half way between the airport and Dublin city centre, there is a frequent bus service that passes the hotel which takes around 10 minutes to the centre of town.There is large bar area and drink prices are cheaper than those in the city centre, snacks are available. Live bands are on at weekends.

Great hotel, great location, excellent value for moneyWe stayed at the Ardmore Hotel as we'd planned a trip to Dublin. Although the hotel was outside the City Centre, it was on a bus route (very regular) into the City and so was the perfect place to return to after a heavy night at Temple Bar! The room was excellent and very clean - no complaints at all. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I'd definitely go back here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice stay but....We had a very nice at the Ardmore Hotel and the room was lovely but there were a lot of noise on the level above our room. It was really disturbing and kept on till very late in the evening. I don't know what is on the floor above floor 4 but it sounded as if they were moving the furniture around all evening!!!! It was really disturbing and very irritating. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay!!!!

Pain!Okay so, the beds were hard, felt like I was staying at a hospital, there was a smell smoke constantly as there is smoking rooms available.Thought it was a good idea though, we had to use our room key if we wanted electricity in the room, that was clever!

Hotel convenient to Cappagh Hospital and City CentreComfortable hotel close to city centre. Stayed in this hotel as I had a relative in the Cappagh Hospital and it was convenient for me to visit as it is a 20 minute walk and 5 mins in a car.Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable.Would recommend to friends and family

If your after a hotel with Wi Fi for a few nights on business then this place is ideal. Room was big and clean and loads of under gorund parking. Wouldn't go there with partner but work is fine. Locals use the bar at night as a local pub so be aware. Didn't eat in rest but had a sandwich which was fine. Taxi into Dublin as too far for a strole.

Brief review of Ardmore Hotel, DublinConveniently located modern hotel on main route into Dublin from the north. Car parking facilities both at ground level and underground for additional security. Staff efficient and helpful, and room provides all required amenities to a very good standard. Good value for money and we would use again.

Good hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free Wifi was a bonus which is available in the reception area. Very good bus links just out side the hotel in to town. For those travelling from the airport to the hotel, it will cost approx 25 Euro to get there. You can catch an Airbus direct to the airport from town for 7 Euro, which is the cheaper option, they run every 20-30 mins, and take 20 mins to get you to the hotel.
