This hotel is an example of when an establishment gets things right. Loved the brand-new 'Regency' decor. The location was historic and interesting - being the reputed birthplace of modern Spain and also, to some extent a place of modern pilgrimage (both tourists and religious types). We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor facing the small park in front of the hotel with a carpeted, covered-balcony with a comfy armchair for reading and people-watching - great! The hotel restaurant seemed to have a small menu but when we went to try it, they happily made other things. Trying the tuna stakes ('bonito') is compulsory - the absolute best I've ever had and I'm a connoisseur! All staff were pleasant and helpful and there was generally an atmopshere of distinguished, old-fashioned charm about the place. A great experience.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, great room with views to die for.Service was good and the food was very good. Felt very welcome, not stuffy or anything like that.If you are going to the region I would defiantly recommend you stay there.
