Dirty floors, grubby walls, ants crawling around living room. Wont be staying againGreat location, but not impressed that room wasn't ready at 2pm, then greeted by dirty floors in the hallway, grubby walls all over the apartment & ants crawling around living room. Glad it was just one night. Wont be staying again :(

DisappointedI arrived after a long day at work and was looking forward to a hot shower and a clean bed. I was told that owing to boiler problems 3 of the rooms had no hot water so they were moving me to an annexe accross the road. The room had not been cleaned properly and lo and behold the hot water was not working in my room. No contact details were left in the room for assistance, and so after eventualy tracking down the number I called to have someone come and tell me they were not sure - maybe the hot water would come on later(it was already 10am at this point). The staff did their best to help but there was no discount offered or particular explanation behind the lack of hot water in my room. Overall very disappointing.

Good accomodation if you don't have lots of luggageThe apartment was clean and well equiped in the main. Would have liked it if the cigarette butts had been cleaned up from the balcony. Parking was in another street, so not very convenient and bit of a rigmarole to get the ticket validated the next morning. It's in a very busy central location with lots of bars, restaurants and nightlife but if you want a quiet evening ask for a room overlooking the courtyard at the back.

Great Room, Location & PriceThe title says it all. I have stayed at many other apartments before, but now it looks like the standard has moved up a level. It's the first one to have a hotel type reception with dedicated car-park. The only thing missing would be the option to include some breakfast items, but overall I have no complaints. 10 out of 10.

No Hot waterNo hot water in the morning, told I should have boosted it, but wasn't told this when I checked in. Barely used any the night before either, except to wash my hands. There were also finger nails in the bath. The staff were helpful however when I checked in and couldn't find the apartment.

broken liftI picked this accommodation because it was disabliity friendly how wrong we were, the stair lifr broke down on the day we arrivered and the client I had with me in her wheelchair was stuck fire service were called out, again thursday it broke but a maintence man was able to override it, friday it broke down again and she was stuck in it for 1 hour I said I would call the fire service if they did not, we had to move out for the night as the fireman said the hotel were not allowered to use it. We later found out the cahir lift is not supposed to carry electric whhelchairs. It was a nightmare

right in the centre of birmingham's party districtOverall not too bad really bit of a stinger having to pay out a £200 deposit against any problems due to breakages.As I had no credit card thought this could be done with the debit card I made the booking on but it had to be a credit card.Had to then run the gauntlet of the Saturday night crowd to find a cash machine to get this money in cash which is accepted.Proof of id is also required e.g driving licence,passport or the card you booked with.The apartment was in the same complex where the Tesco Metro is and took a little bit of finding as this was on Bromsgrove Street across from where you check in at the main reception for Stay Birmingham which is on the upper level of the Arcadian complex.The apartment was built as a Crosby homes development a few years ago.The apartment was of good standard comprising open plan living room/dining area and kitchen with the usual built in appliances but no dish washer.The cupboards consisted of all you would mainly need if staying for a few days inluding toaster,microwave,kettle, electric oven and hob and pots and pans of different sizes.All crockery and cutlery was provided but lacking in enough glass ware.Ideal for anyone staying longer as it had washer/dryer and built in fridge freezer.There was two, 2 seater sofas and one converted into a bed.Also there is a tv provided in the lounge area.This is a one bed apartment on the second floor with two devan beds that can be seperated.bedside drawers and and a wardrobe is also provided along with another set of drawers giving enough space for two people to un pack properly.A seperate bathroom is just outside in the corridor of the apartment.This has toilet,wash basin and bath with over shower.The whole flat is heated by economy 7 panel heaters.The general appearance of the apartment is good however looking a little tired and the odd picture missing from a wall in the bedroom and living room area and just some holes where the hooks

ARC APARTMENTS BIRMINGHAMThis is the fourth time that we have stayed at Arc Apartments and still find it outstanding value for money. We use it when going to the theatre and it allows complete freedom and privacy. They have recently included a very welcome complimentary breakfast at the Indi bar which is located beneath the apartments. When you consider that up to 5 people can stay in a two bedroomed apartment for on £99, it is excellent value for money.

No more than Mediocre. Had to change rooms once and wasn't majorly happy with the secondfor starters i have difficulty finding the car park and then actually getting in as the entrance shutter and intercom were broken. I had a merry time pressing the useless thing and waiting for someone to answer... i finally had to fish my phone out and call reception.The staff are very friendly and professional but when i went to my room i noticed that the sofa as well as being ugly was torn and shabby and the mattress on the bed was flat as a pancake and i imagine if i slept on it i would have had spring imprints on my back for days.I immediatley asked for another room. In the second room the Kitchen smelled funny and the bathroom smelled of mould. The sheets on the bed were stained with what looked like fake tan. Otherwise the rest of my stay was pleasant enough althoug on my last night there was loads of noise and shouting in the building and then two people were having a punch up outside my door.Personally i would not stay here again if i can avoid it.

wont stay again nor friends....Overall experience was not good, check in was not friendly. staff were blunt and rude towards all guest. found hair in bathroom, bath tub, room closet. floors were muddy, dishes were washed poorly and smelled. when confronted my desk staff gave email to general manager and no chatting. General manager offered 25 pounds off next stay?????? was not happy as my friends told us about this place as it was clean and respectfull place. wont be staying here again nor friends due to the lack of customer experience and cleanliness of the room and also the feedback from desk staff and managers!!!!????

Apartments were very nice. However £200 deposit was required which is quite a lot of money to ask for. Also the Apartments were centrally located andeasily accessible.

Wrong part of townI stayed here with two members of my family whilst I was on a conference. The room was not as clean as it cloud be and the common areas were really grubby. The furniture was cheap and our chest of drawers virtually collapsed into pieces. I had to ask for linen that was missing. The reall problem is the area is squalid and full of night clubs. Not the place for women or for children or indeed for anyone who wants to sleep at night - I hardly had a moments sleep due to the really loud and horrid behaviour of those using drinking spots and night clubs int eh surrounding roads. Most unpleasant experience and will not stay there again.

Arc apartments are becoming my second home!Whenever we stay in Birmingham we always choose Arc Apartments. The location is excellent. The staff are lovely. The apartments are fantastic and the value for money is unrivalled locally.

Not what we expectedThe staff at reception were very friendly. However when we got into the department we were slightly disappointed. The blinds in the bedroom were broken so were the draws, the bedsheets didnt look very clean and also the TV did not work properly.

Business TravellerBeing a frequent traveler (staying in hotels 2 to 3 times per week) I consider that I have a reasonably broad experience on which to draw upon.The accommodation was good although access to parking was awful as there was something on at the nearby theatre and so spent 30mins stuck in a jam.Once i got parked the entrance to the accommodation is a bit weird - the staff are very nice but your trip to your apartment will be like you are just entering/leaving the Big Brother house.Once inside the apartment was very spacious and had everything needed other than an iron which should have been present but had obviously been removed for some reason.All in all - good accommodation but in a difficult to reach location. Price was about the going rate although I have had much better deals at City Nites apartments that are better located.I think I will use alternative apartments in future.

Friendly staff, pitty lift broken and no offer to help us carry our extensive luggage up the steep stairs Mybe your directions to the apartments could be clearer re entering carpark, underground lift etc or that the apartments are in a surrounded area with no direct car/front door access.

Not bad but dirtyNot sure what house keeping do during their working hours, my guess is sit on there behind and watch the telly, or go for a lie down.The rooms were dirty. The bedrooms weren't set up for our stay, easily sorted though. Everything needed a good clean and door handles that keep falling off need fixed. Not difficult, just lazy house keeping. Hot water, or lack off, for the showers was an issue for 3 adults.Location was great and appartments were well set out. Fine for a group of mates but not one to take the wife!
