Description:
Situated in the historic Eixample District which is home to the buildings of Gaudi and many Art Nouveau originals is the Apsis Aranea Hotel. Because it is also close to the major shopping, business and tourist areas of Plaza Catalunya and Paseo de Gracia it is also a favorite among both business and leisure travelers.

The Apsis Aranea is located at Consell De Cent 444 and is 20 minutes from the airport.

There are 84 rooms in the Apsis Aranea Hotel and they are available as guest rooms and suites. All provide satellite television, room service, laundry and climate controls.

Clean and refreshing interiors fill the hotel, and the multilingual staff makes it easy for visitors to book tours, theater tickets and travel arrangements through the lobby desk. Additionally, the hotel provides sightseeing tours to its guests, and these too can be planned at the front desk area. There is a comprehensive business center, with computer and office equipment access. The hotel does not have a public restaurant but makes an ample and popular breakfast buffet available for guests each morning. There is also a lounge and bar for visitors to enjoy as well.

The only problem i had with the hotel was that the beds were very very hard, therefore i had no sleep the 2 nights i stayed there.

The hotel is nice and clean, it's just the location that is not quite ideal for a city-trip. No breakfast included. Next time I'd choose a place closer to a Metro to Ciutat Vella / Old Town. Apsis Aranea is very close to the Bus Terminal (> GRO Airport) though. You can see the Sagrada Famila from room 708!

A pleasant hotel a little outside the main city centre attractions. But easily within walking distance of most.

The only problem I had was with credit card and not only in hotel but in restaurants and shops too. In Spain it seem they prefere to be paied cash. Be prepared and bring with you enough liquid.

My experience at the hotel was really good but for some occasions when they forgot to change our towels and once I had to phone three times to ask for them.

It was the first time for us in Barcelona and it was fantastic. Very interesting and exiting place to stay. The city is not too big and lots of the things are possible to reach by metro or the cheap taxis.

Travelled to Barcelona week of May 5 and spent one night at hotel Aranea. Loved the hotel, photos on website accurately display rooms etc. Rooms very clean, nice size, minimal, bathroom great, looks new, very clean, everything you needed provided. Location was great. Away from the main tourist drag but close enough to walk to if you wanted. Yes there is street noise, but thats part of the atmosphere of staying in a city. We would definitely recommend the Aranea Hotel Barcelona to others and will stay there again.

We were very pleased with our accomodation & would certainlt stay here again. The short walk into town enables us to discover quieter bars & restaurants rather than the touristic ones on the main streets which was a plus. Will definately be recommending the Aranea Hotel Barcelona to friends & family. To finisg...we simply loved it.

Excellent hotel! Very close to amenities in city centre, to artistic sites. From 6th and 7th floor rooms you can have a beautifull view of Sagrada Familia's tower. Breakfast not included and expensive but in the surrounding there are very nice and cheap bakeries and cafes. Rooms are clean and it was worth staying there. Suggested both for short and long stay.

This was the first time we had stayed at this hotel in Barcelona. We were pleasantly surprised at the location and the convenience of shopping, restaurants, landmarks of the great city. We saw all kinds of clinetele: business, weekend visitors to the city, young and old.

The hotel is placed in an area close to most of the sights of the city. The rooms are quite nice and clean. The bad things were an extremily annoying noise from the boxes below the elevators everytime someone was using it,the fact that the walls were so thin that you could here what it was happening in the next room or in the corridor and finaly i was really disappointed from the staff (the recepsionist) who tried to sell me a room for dayuse (until 18.00 max) not under the day use price (about 50Euros) but for 140Euros although we've been paying about 95Euros per night.Generaly is a nice, clean not so expencive hotel. Ciao

very good. clean, good size rooms, bathrooms very well equipped, all new looking, less than 10 minute walk to nearest metro, 20 mins to get to La Rambla, staff very helpful, ........... only minor negatives : little bit of outside noise from street but expected in a city centre, breakfast a little expensive at 11 euro's but plenty of cafe's in Barcelona. Overall, no hesitation to stay here again.

nice, welcoming and comfortable. Maybe a little far from facilities (metro & bus)

Very good hotel, only one little trouble: the distance from metro, about 500mt, it's ok but between this lines (violet or yellow) and the best line(green) there is a whorst change at Paseig de Gracia station.

The Aranea Hotel Barcelona is very comfortable and centric. The staff are good humored and helpful especially the ones at the reception. Only 5 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia and Metro, only 2-3 stop to La Rambla...
