came home with bed bugs. woke up about a week after being home covered in bites, and seeing the bites grouped into 3's, i knew it was bed bugs. it looked like i had chicken pox. so be careful, rooms arent as clean as they appear, and the bugs WILL travel home with you if your room has them.

I happened to be travelling through Laughlin for the first time when the temperature downtown was 119 degrees, and decided to stay and cool off rather than trudge through the desert. The room was fairly priced (orbitz price) for a Saturday night, nice flatscreen TV in room, cable, very clean and comfy and beautiful views of the Colo river and surrounding mountains and hills from the 15th floor (of 18 floors total). I stayed inside the casino for the entire stay because of the heat, although the river is a stone's throw from the gaming area if you prefer a dip in the river to the pool. Front desk was excellent, very quick and helpful even though they were busy. The gaming attendents were also A+, cocktail waitresses were above average. Drawbacks: Buffet was disappointing at $20 (make sure to get a rewards card before you get in the buffet line, they charge you extra if you don't have one), the line was long, seating seemed overly slow, and no crab-crackers on a steak & crab special meant I threw away as much crab as I ate, seemed dumb to me. The sunday brunch line was so long I skipped it, and the starbucks line also was 10 minutes plus. Also annoying was the high fee for internet access, I was able to get free wifi down the street but Aquarius charges. I will not knowingly stay at a hotel twice that does this twice, it costs them almost nothing to offer it and iy is essential to most of us. (Golden Nugget down the street has free wifi in the lobby.) Aquarius had ONE poker table (4/8 hold 'em w/ kill pot) open on Sat night, plenty of slots and craps though. And a lot of restaurants to choose from. Bottom line... clean, good price, pretty average otherwise. I would return if they offered free or low cost wifi, the room was great, and may check out Harrahs and Riverside for food and poker alternatives.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Rooms were clean and bright, bathrooms were spacious with great shower, beds were very comfortable. Great deal for the money. Got free breakfast with the room and it was very good. Great hotel for the price.

My husband and I wanted a place with a pool and other activities. Unfortunately the pool was closed and they couldn't accommodate. The boat cruise was also closed after being told it was a daily activity. The "Luxuary Riverfront view" was not all the luxuary or riverfront. We could look out the corner window and see the river. Saw more of the tennis courts/"pool". The restrauants were fair. the employees were nice, but unfortunately our experience was not good.

We got to the Aquarius around 12:30pm. There was no line at check in. We were early and they got us right into our room. We had a great view of the river. Very comfortable beds and soft towels. We had planned on swimming in the pool, but when we tried to get into the pool area it was locked. We called the desk and was told the pool was closed for maintenance for the month of March. Our room's air conditioner wasn't working very well. We had a non-smoking room and the air was so dry that we had to turn the shower on for about an hour to get some moisture into the air. We never called the front desk about it though. Other than the pool and the air conditioner the hotel was great!

The Aquarius was very comfortable, large rooms and new furnishings made it a joy to rest my head. Variety of eatery inside made it a stay on the property place to be. Would definetly recommend this property to others.

That it was by the Colorado River. Carpet was stained, food was horrible, hated the atmosphere! I would never go back to this restaurant. This was the worst experience. I would NEVER stay at the Flamingo. I hated everything about the experience. I was appalled at the filth of the carpet.

Stayed for 2 nights in February with family and check in was fast and easy. Ate at 2 places while there, the Cafe Aquarius and the buffet. The service at the cafe was outstanding considering that it was very busy, and food was good. No complaints about the buffet either, I thought it was better than when it used to be the Flamingo. Everywhere we went we were greeted with very good and pleasant service. If I had one problem with the hotel, it would be the lines at the slot club. It seemed like they took 20 minutes per person. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, and thats all that matters to us. Not much happening in the way of entertainment these days in Laughlin and most of the hotels are getting rundown. It is a shame because it is such a nice change from Vegas and being next to the river is very nice. I really hope they remodel the other Hotels or build some newer ones to bring this town back to life, but we would definitely stay at the Aquarius again. Oh one more thing, we decided to check out a day early to see a show in Vegas, and they were more than happy to instantly refund my money to my credit card, no problems.

I have stayed at the Aquarius four years in a row for the Laughlin River Run, a motorcycle event. In the past the Aquarius was ok, the rooms were well worn but fairly clean. Big changers this year!! The room I stayed in was newly remodeled as well as the entire floor of this hotel. Staff was freindly and helpful, food was great. Major changes in just about everything in the hotel. They even added a Starbuck's which was great. Until all the rooms have been remodeled ask for a remodeled room on your next stay.

Check-in took a long time. The two people at the registration desk were very slow. There was no no distrub sign in the room. So I had to call to get one. The sink in the bathroom was not draining. It was difficult to find a parking spot and difficult to find the lobby (not having enough signs).

Lovely new remodeled room on the 7th floor overlooking the river Clean and were told no one stayed in this room yet since the remodel. Changed rooms after the 6th night as they wouldn't continue the upgrade river view. Bad decision as we faced the parking garage, room stunk, pillow smelled like old men and the bathroom lights were flickering so bad that I thought I was in a disco. Iron didn't work nor did the phone. The politely moved us back down the hall with a river view. Unforntunately, we left our phone chargers plugged into the desktop light and it took 2 days to get them back and that was with having to get firm with the security staff (Andrew) who swore they weren't turned in on his shift (who cares - they were there). Too much time spent trying to receive these simple items. Note to yourself....don't leave anything in the room! Poker room pit bosses were some of the lousiest customer service "professionals", but we moved to another casino to play. Food was decent and loved having Starbucks in the lobby which also is Wi Fi available with no charge.

Stayed in one of the new rooms during the River Run and it was GREAT! All the rooms are supposed to be done this fall and they are terrific.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Our room had a view of the river & most pacious. The staff were very nice. We asked for extra pillows, we had them immediately.. The slots are loose. The restaurants are good. This hotel is a good value for your money. Quiet... Clean, & great view. Can't ask for more!

This was the cleanest both in house keeping and in NO SMOKE - Non smoking room I have ever stayed in . Most especially for a casino! Loved it. Clean bathroom, fresh linens, friendly staff. Only down side, the Non smoking "area" of the casino is basically in the middle of the regular casino, so don't hold your breath. Breakfast buffet a little pricey compared to other casinos, this due to the champagne I suppose ( it was Sunday) But I wasn't real impressed with the food. Can have an omlette made to order within limits, not alot of variety for fillings. Was able to get Panda Express chinese around 10:30 at night, that was great. Right across from the Mall. Take advantage of the river transport to other casinos for less expensive eating options. Love, Love, Love the room tho, so I will be back

I was originally scared off by the reviews but booked the room becuase of the low price. When we got there I got the upgraded room for 10 dollars more which had been recently renovated. We were very happy with the room and the entire stay, great value don't be scared by the bogus reviews, whoever wrote them had unreasonable expectations. It's Laughlin not Las Vegas, what can you really expect. I would have expected to pay three or four times as much for the room we got. Great decor, new carpet, furnishings and fixtures. Were planning our next getaway.
