Hotel was lovely, I would stay again, if the parking was better. Parking was not on site. There was a car park near to the hotel, but the entrance was too narrow for my 4X4 car.

The rooms were good sized, the beds were comfortable, the spa services were expensive but we participated in the free fitness classes and used the spa facilities. Lots of museums in easy walking distance. The Orangerie restaurant also expensive, but we used it for breakfast and it was good and convenient. Lots of nearby cafes which were more personal and less expensive. Lovely landscaping and gardens to enjoy.

Great location. Room very comfortable. Large selection at breakfast. Enjoyed our stay. Would certainly stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay in this resful hotel in beautiful Aix-en-Provence. We were glad our rental car had a GPS because our hotel and the beautiful grounds that surround it are tucked away in quiet, ancient narrow lanes. Nonetheless, the hotel is in walking distance to all the wonderful cafes, shops and markets in Aix. Parking is convenient and inexpensive. Try to get the check in on Sunday special to get the best rate.

The room was large, clean, and well appointed. Dining was both outside under sun umbreallas and inside. Your checkin key folder has a coupon for a free demi-pichet of van. I suggest lunch there; dinner was fair, but overpriced, only do it if you're tired. The area right surrounding the AquaBella is not the best. You need to call taxis from the desk to get to Cours Mirabou; you can't hail them. Everyone was running about in room furnished terrycloth robes/slippers and using the pool and spa. The pool was very spacious for sunning/swimming. We had a van coming in from 2 weeks in the hills of Provence. Parking garage is nearby at a reduced rate of 9.50 Euros daily. Just tell the desk and they auto input it. Come in and unload at the small circle, store luggage if early (no porters), then move your car to the garage and leave it there until you leave town. Ask for a town map. Gamblers can get free transport to their associated casino. Bring your passport. (Don't be confused by other Casino businesses which I think are markets.) If you're going to Marseille airport early next morning, it's tough getting out of town in the dark. I suggest a pre-dark trial run to the edge of town. After two weeks in hill towns in ancient gites, we felt like we were returning to near American standard hotels. Not that they were better, just more what you're used to back home. We only stayed here because of rugby finals in Marseille which had all the airport hotels booked for min. 3 night stays. However, we would stay here again.

Excellent hotel in an ideal location no more than 10 mins walk from any part of Aix inside the ring-road. Fine restaurant and pool facilities. A tower from the 14th-century walls of the old city form a nice backdrop to the pool area, and guests have some limited use of the adjacent spa facilities which feature mineral waters from the local springs - the reason the Romans founded this town in the first place. Service is efficient and largely friendly. Other reviews on other sites complain about some of the rooms, but ours was very acceptable. The pool is directly adjacent to the ring-road, so there is some traffic noise, it depends on how sensitive you are, I suppose. I would reccomend this hotel, the 3-star rating should probably be a 4, in my opinion, so the rate is probably about right.

This hotel was perfect for my husband and me. Not super expensive and very comfortable. Clean and great beds. Away from the parade streets and relatively quiet. The front desk was not always manned, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I even ate alone one evening in the restaurant, and the staff was accommodating without being bothersome. I loved Aix en Provence and look forward to returning.

we stayed 6 nights at the aquabella in aix en provence, france. while the accomodations were fine, the noise level from inside and outside the hotel was unbearable. great location, but at the risk of losing a ton of sleep, i would not stay here again.
