Rooms a bit jaded looking. An older hotel in need of a bit of TLC, but great location and price was good for the location (right on the beah in central Waikiki). Great if you want to stay a couple of days and go out rather than stay in.

A nice hotel in a great location. The hotel was being updated during our stay, but the staff were excelent. They took care of us with a smile. I never spend a lot of time in the room when I travel, so I look for a clean room with all the basic services, and that is what you get here. Basic comfort, great location ( across the street from waikiki beach), at a reasonable rate. A perfect combination for me.

The front desk staff was great. They were very courteous and respectful. The decor of the hotel was beautiful.

As a travel professional I made a reservation for ocean front with a queen or king bed. Well I got the view into a building with twin beds. The Hotel had a cockroach issue in a matchbox size room. The patio was covered in pidgeon poop and we couldn't even use it. We asked for another room, we were told no rooms were available. Dissapointed to say the least!

The hotel is very well situated in Waikiki. A little bit more of a renovation would jack up its rating to 3-star or even 4-star hotel. A pool downstairs in the patio would be a plus. And the lobby can be spruced up better.

This hotel is horrible!!! I am being totally honest, and I would never in my life stay here even if it was free. My now fianc? was looking forward to proposing to me while we were vacationing last year, and everything went sour because of our stay. The room was not comfortable at all, along with the bed. Everything looked like it was built in the 1600's. Might I add the t.v. is like a billion years old. (I know, not that important.) The hotel totally false advertises in the pictures of how it looks. It looks nothing like the pics! Our worst night was our first night there. A drunk man was banging on everyone's door. He was so drunk and falling everywhere just trying to open room doors! Of course with out a key he couldn't, but that's not the point. What was the worst, was that we called the front desk 3 times before someone actually came up. I was so distraught the for the whole stay, any loud noise I heard, made it impossible to sleep. It was scary what we went through! Very disappointing to have to go through that. Needless to say, my fianc? chose to propose in California instead, since he figured he'd make it more special with none of the worries like I experienced at the hotel. Very nice day and evening staff, but late night, now that's a different story, literally!

The hotel recently changed management and was physically in terrible shape. The furniture was old and scarred and the carpet was old and dirty. However the staff was very helpful and friendly and offered us another room which we turned down as it was just as bad as the first one we had.

The rooms are the size of a matchbox, no view, unless you are ""ocean front"". The hotel is in poor condition. The rooms were dirty and stinky. We had to change our hotel as the condidtions were unreasonable. I'd rather stay at a hostel.

If it was for one person who would not be spending much time in the room it would work out ok, the room we stayed in was too small for two people. The elevator was too small. I have to say the shower is comfortable and roomy but the bathrooms are very small. I do understand that this hotel is very old and in the era it was built it was ok for the time.

We show up at 3 in the morning and told welcome and you have been upgraded to a better room. wow we thought, Low and behold we walked into a room that was 80 degree plus to find that the bed was not only not made but to find the mattress on edge and pieces of the furniture all over the room. they then upgraded us again and yes we overlooked the beach but the room was far from nice furniture was in rough shape and the rug had been walked on for the last 50+ years

This is an economy hotel, nothing more or less. I stayed at this hotel to sleep, not hang out, which was good, considering the amenities. The "continental breakfast" consisted of OJ, coffee, and Costco pastries. No fresh fruit of any kind was available. There was also no internet. The staff was very nice, and assisted with beach towels and umbrellas, as the weather dictated.

The first day I arrived I got very ill due to the musty unit. I asked for a refund but was advised that I could not. The day manager was very obliging and did everything he could to help me get at least a day's refund.

Located in the heart of Waikiki, walk across the street and you're at the beach. Continental breakfast each morning was ample and fresh. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. Good value for the dollar spent. We plan to return.
