Fortunately, most of our time was spent out of the hotel room. Ice was available only by asking at the front desk and was received in an ice bucket with no lid and no plastic lining. We were attacked numerous times daily by a pitch man trying to push a free tour on us in exchange for our time listening to a presentation to buy a condo. After repeated "no thank yous" we actually began scoping the entrance to make sure he was bugging someone else so we could hopefully slip in and out unnoticed. There were no towels of any kind available on one of the days we stayed - neither in the room nor for the beach. The staff were courteous and helpful...but the place needs a deep clean and a serious furniture update. It's filthy.

Fun and great staff. Great place for a young buck to hang.

A nice hotel in a great location. The hotel was being updated during our stay, but the staff were excelent. They took care of us with a smile. I never spend a lot of time in the room when I travel, so I look for a clean room with all the basic services, and that is what you get here. Basic comfort, great location ( across the street from waikiki beach), at a reasonable rate. A perfect combination for me.

As a travel professional I made a reservation for ocean front with a queen or king bed. Well I got the view into a building with twin beds. The Hotel had a cockroach issue in a matchbox size room. The patio was covered in pidgeon poop and we couldn't even use it. We asked for another room, we were told no rooms were available. Dissapointed to say the least!

It was great, highly recommended. Right across the street from waikiki, couldn't ask for anything better than to just cross the street and you're at the beach! Only thing we didn't like was that parking was 22 bucks a day...oh well, that's waikiki for ya.

The front desk staff was excellent. Very nice. The front desk staff was great. They were very courteous and respectful. The decor of the hotel was beautiful.

This hotel is horrible!!! I am being totally honest, and I would never in my life stay here even if it was free. My now fianc? was looking forward to proposing to me while we were vacationing last year, and everything went sour because of our stay. The room was not comfortable at all, along with the bed. Everything looked like it was built in the 1600's. Might I add the t.v. is like a billion years old. (I know, not that important.) The hotel totally false advertises in the pictures of how it looks. It looks nothing like the pics! Our worst night was our first night there. A drunk man was banging on everyone's door. He was so drunk and falling everywhere just trying to open room doors! Of course with out a key he couldn't, but that's not the point. What was the worst, was that we called the front desk 3 times before someone actually came up. I was so distraught the for the whole stay, any loud noise I heard, made it impossible to sleep. It was scary what we went through! Very disappointing to have to go through that. Needless to say, my fianc? chose to propose in California instead, since he figured he'd make it more special with none of the worries like I experienced at the hotel. Very nice day and evening staff, but late night, now that's a different story, literally!

Some rooms have doors onto the hallway with glass crank-out louvers. This is a security concern. Hotel desk staff switched me to a room with a solid door without any hassle. Rooms are small and lack any space for working. Room decor is quite dated. This is a very good value for the central location and beach access. Would consider staying here again for a short leisure trip.

I walked into the hotel and decided not to stay at the hotel because of the appearance of the loby. I thought I was safe in choosing a place on the strip facing the ocean but apparently not.

The rooms are the size of a matchbox, no view, unless you are ""ocean front"". The hotel is in poor condition. The rooms were dirty and stinky. We had to change our hotel as the condidtions were unreasonable. I'd rather stay at a hostel.

At first I was unsure about the hotel because it is smaller, but the friendly staff and location right on the beach was perfect. I was able to stop back by my hotel easily if I forgot something or needed to stop back by. It is located right across from the beach and only a street away for the local transportation. I would stay there again with hesitation.

Very convenient and affordable. As expected of a 2-star hotel. The hotel is very well situated in Waikiki. A little bit more of a renovation would jack up its rating to 3-star or even 4-star hotel. A pool downstairs in the patio would be a plus. And the lobby can be spruced up better.

We show up at 3 in the morning and told welcome and you have been upgraded to a better room. wow we thought, Low and behold we walked into a room that was 80 degree plus to find that the bed was not only not made but to find the mattress on edge and pieces of the furniture all over the room. they then upgraded us again and yes we overlooked the beach but the room was far from nice furniture was in rough shape and the rug had been walked on for the last 50+ years

Small rooms. Excellent location. across the street from the beach and "dukes" statue. yet still on the main street. close enough local nightlife. Also very close to Diamond Head. Unaware of $22 a day parking fee.

Low price for the Waikiki Beach area. Small rooms, only 1 elevator for 12 floors, very slow. Good value for 1-2 people seeking only a place to sleep at/near Waikiki Beach. Not recommended for families.

Nothing about the hotel, but the staff was friendly & helpful. It was run down, furniture was in horrible shape and carpet was old and dirty. The hotel recently changed management and was physically in terrible shape. The furniture was old and scarred and the carpet was old and dirty. However the staff was very helpful and friendly and offered us another room which we turned down as it was just as bad as the first one we had.

Location of the hotel is ok, but elevator got on our nerves - small, very slow on closing doors, takes a while to get down, it stops on every floor etc. Also didn't like that there is no coffeemaker in our room, no iron (we aked for one never got it), short on towels (one day we had to look for the towels and got them ourselves) The room didn't have a window (any kind of window) we felt like we stayed in the basement. We didnt get new soap every day...
