We really enjoyed staying at Aston Honolulu Prince. The staff were really friendly and luckily we got a large room with a balcony with views looking west of the city and mountains. We did notice that there were rooms with no balcony looking east over the carpark and hotel next door. If you were allocated one of those rooms you'd have a very different experience. You'd definitely want to try and swap to balcony room. We'd definitely recommend the Honolulu Prince

The room we were staying in had BED BUGS!!!!!! It was terrible, i would never stay there again... I will NOT reccommend anyone staying there.... I know the hotel was renovating, and they still have to check everything to make sure!!!!!

The hotel needs a lot of work, but the staff made it bearable, the location is great.

The first room we got was not so good overlooking the carpark and no balcony. I wouldn't have liked to stay there for long. We asked to upgrade and enjoyed our room with a balcony so much better. It was also more spacious. Staff were helpful.

This place was horrible. It is undergoing some construction so maybe when that is done it may be different but for now it's not. When you first walk into the hotel the staff does not greet you. They seem more interested in their computer. When you finally get service and reach your room you just want to run right out. The AC is right above the door which is down a long hallway and you cannot feel it in the room. The room security was unsafe. I had to put a chair under the door so I felt like my daughter was safe. They have no amnities for anyone let alone children. I was suppose to stay for ten days here but I checked out after one night.

Excellent location and staff. Great prices. Appearance slightly rough in places, made up for everywhere else. Good massage facilities right next door.

At first blush this economy hotel was deemed unsatsfactory. But when we expressed our displeasure with our small standard room & asked for an upgrade we were given vastly better accomodations at no extra charge. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and accomodating, but for anyone requiring any fanciness, this ain't it.

Hotel is very old. Floor in bathroom bubbled and floor tiles were cracked & comming up. Really needed a new shower enclosure. Beds very uncomfortable. Carpets were worn out. Parking was a hassle because even though we had an assigned space someone was always in it & we would have to wait in parking lot for front desk to tell us where to park. We saw several roaches. There was no security. Front desk people were great, friendly & very helpful. It is in a great location except there is a bar downstairs and people were always standing in front and blocking the driveway to the parking in back while they smoked. Did not feel safe enough to let my teenagers walk down to Waikiki beach alone.

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen! Like being in a 3rd world country! Totally rude.

The location of this hotel and the service provided by the staff made for an enjoyable stay. We even received a warm welcome on our second stay before we produced any paperwork which was both impressive and friendly. The bathrooms are very tired and there are no kitchen facilities in the standard or superior rooms.

Definitely run down. A""fixer upper""if it were a house. Walls/ceilings bubble w/ showers. Cockroaches in room. X at the desk was the best feature. He gave directions/suggestions of where to go, did late check out for us, and was very friendly. Poor maid service, room not cleaned several times, they came late! After a day at the beach return 3pmish to shower and they show up wanting to clean. If you don't mind a ""Motel 6"" hotel then this is for you. It served our purpose but a slightly nicer hotel would have been better. Especially for two women alone!

Called the Prince, but nothing remotely regal about this property. It's a dive. Don't stay here: you hear air conditioners all night. Turn your own off and you hear everyone else's. Hairs in bath, bath plug didn't fit so, no bath possible. One night there was 1 night too many.

For the inexpensive price of the hotel you were one block away from Waikiki beach (just across the street from the back of the international marketplace) and that is an incredible deal- if the hotel redecorated its decor/rooms (old/worn) - they could charge a lot more just for the locale. The staff was very helpful/accommodating, their parking lot is very tiny so you must factor in parking costs (Avg $20 per day) to the price.

Comfy beds and big bathroom. Very friendly staff and hotel is extremely convenient to everything in Waikiki and public transportation. Lots of nearby restaurants.

The first room we got was totally dirty and with 1 bed (after calling ahead to verify 2 beds). But, the staff was apologetic and upgraded us to a suite, which was nice and roomy. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the Waikiki and close to everything, but it is always busy and you can hear everything that goes on outside, even with the AC running. There are restaurants and bars directly next door and the music goes on half the night.
