The place is elegant and conducive. This hotel was perfect in size, location and for my needs. The room was sufficient for every person, but certainly comfortable. Breakfast is good and the location is near the hotels and its perfect.

Hotel staff was friendly and very accomodating-we would stay at this hotel again.

The room decor nice. The flat screenTV was excellent, free internet, staff professional. One elevator was broken, other two were slow. Tiny pool was leaking slime, lots of broken tile, slimy moldy cement. Loud fights heard inside hotel. The problem is that the room the hotel first gave me was a run down. It was a tattered carpet, uneven floor, with smeared dirty looking walls, noisy hallway. If the hotel had been a bit more full, I would have been stuck in that room. So even if the hotel has 3 star rooms, the priceline rooms are way less. I had to beg to be moved and the next room had the cleaner looking walls and less tattered carpet. but it was still not three stars.

Pros: Friendly staff, great room size, not far from beach front, close to supermarket and Ala Moana shopping centre, close to bus stops. Rooms had large TV, fridge and microwave. Subway, Outback and other eateries close by. Cons: Elevators (or lifts) extremely slow (but apparently soon to be upgraded), small swimming pool.

We stayed at the Aqua Palms in March. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We were upgraded to a "partial city view" which had a glass door that opened to a ledge that was about 1 ft out and about 4 ft wide. Free breakfast was simple, but filling (muffins, rolls, fresh fruit and jiuce. Parking gargage was tight and costs $20 a day (most everywhere charges for parking). The only drawback was road noise. Our room faced Ala moana blvd and we heard traffic all hours of the day and night. Not much you can do about it. The pool is rather small, but functional. It was a superb value and would return in a heartbeat. And yes, elevators took forever, so we ended up using the stairs most of the time, not a big deal.

What I love most about my room was actually the nice beautiful flat screen tv with cable. I'm not one to spend all day in the room watching TV, but I did so much during the day that at night time it was nice to watch some TV at night time. The view from my room (partial city view) was nice, but it was a lot of buildings and streets, I would've preferred an ocean view. The location great and not all that great at the same time. It is close to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and the beach, but it's wayyy at the edge of waikiki beach so walking to the center of Waikiki beach was still a good 15-20 minute walk. Service at the hotel was excellent, I have no complaints there. Checking in was smooth, asking for directions was easy, checking out was a breeze. The complimentary continental breakfast was mediocre, a lot of small muffins, fruit and juice that wasn't very filling. But it's free.

Beds were very comfortable, room very clean. Breakfast was lacking and pool was closed for maintenance. Location was desirable. Rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The front desk was very helpful.

All in all it was a very nice welcoming place and we have lived in Hawaii for 10 years and know what is and is not good there. I would recommend it. Their elevators did not work very good and were unreliable but they were beginning to work on them so expect this problem is short lived.

I just came back from a wonderful stay/ 8 days/7 nights. The beds were so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Never had such a comfy bed in a hotel. There were some very small bugs there, but I called the front desk and they sprayed immediately and no more small bugs. The room was a 1 bedroom, with a desk, beautiful TV, closet for clothes, iron and ironing board. It had a small round table w/ 2 chairs. I had a balcony I could walk out on and to my right see the beautiful ocean and to my left the city and its gorgeous lights. This hotel had a wonderful shower. Just right showerhead so no wasting of water, but you got enough to shower with. They had continental breakfasts, I only went to one. It was like a feeding freenzy, I did not like that. I ate breakfast at local restaurants. Plenty of restaurants closeby to walk to. Housekeeping, the front desk, bellhop, everyone was FANTASTIC !! oh the one bad thing... if you wanted ice you had to go to the parking garage P3 and around the corner to find the ice. I did NOT like that. I went and bought ice @ a local store and kept in my freezer in the mini fridge. Other than the ice and small bugs the 1st day, I will definately go back and stay @ this hotel. Everyone was the best and the beds are wonderful to sleep on. I stayed on the 8th floor and had a very beautiful view. Oops one more thing, they are updating the elevators and sometimes you had to wait, but they are getting better !! ;-)

It was very nice of them to hold our bags for the day as we went around and shopped or whatever, even though we had checked out. Very convenient for us.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was very pleasant, staff was friendly. Room was clean. A great value. Elevator was a bit slow, which I expected from the revues. Check in & check out was super fast. I will stay here again.

Far from 3 star/3 diamond. This is an average 2 star hotel. It's clean but small and has poor customer service - and my reservation clearly stated that there were 4 people in my party (2 adults 2 kids) yet they gave me a room with 1 queen and a pull out couch. Not what I signed up for!!! They claimed to be booked and would not change my room. They stated they upgraded my view - but upon entering my room I had a view of a pole. What an upgrade! Be prepared to wait forever to catch an elevator as only 1 works and to pay $20/day to park your car.

The friendlyness of the staff and location. Nothing. This was an excellent location close to dining and beaches very friendly staff and very helpful.

best thing about this hotel is that is is opposite Hilton which is the nicest hotel on Waikiki and they have great beach and facilities you can use for free. the rooms are nice- and the breakfast is fine, friendly staff - but on the down side it is a 20 min walk to main drag on Waikiki. you cant surf on the beach near the hotel as no waves but great for kids with lagoon etc.. no bar or food - but lots with 2 mins!! especially at the [other hotel] great Japanese. and no internet !! and on busy road with roadwork we also stayed at sand villa and it is not as nice but was closer to everything and great bar and food and free internet

Checking in was very pleasant, quick and helpful. We upgraded and faced Diamond Head on the 10th floor, and the Hilton was across the street. They offer a continental breakfast of muffins and croissants, fruit uncut fruit, coffee and juices by the pool from 7am to 9am. Two elevators were working and they were slow - maybe that's why one was being renovated. We left in the morning and came back early afternoon and the housekeeper still had not gotten to our room. When we left, she was at the other end of the hall. However, when we came back later, the room was very clean. Parking is $20 a day, and spaces are tight. Don't rent a large vehicle or you won't be able to navigate around the corners. If you're heading to the downtown area, it may be a good idea to take the bus, which stops just outside at the front entrance area. There's a convenience store around the corner and a 7-11 at the end of the next block if you want to stock snacks in the fridge. The lanai has a table and two chairs and it's nice to watch the sunrise from there. The king sized bed was comfortable somewhat. It felt lumpy to me, but my husband loved it. The bathroom can be a tad bigger, but it had everything we needed. All in all, we were very pleased with this hotel and especially appreciated the friendly staff. They go the extra mile to help.

I was there to visit with my boyfriend for a short stay of 5 days. I really wanted to have in-room food delivery for dinner that evening, but that was not shown as available. The hotel was in a good centralized location to see the sites in Waikiki. The rooms were kept very clean, but room service didn't arrive until past 2:00pm on a couple days. The complimentary breakfast had several items to choose from, but was definitely like a continental breakfast (no hot food available, like waffles or sausages)...just finger foods and fruit. One of the elevators was being worked on and both of the other elevators were slow to respond. It didn't help when other guests would hold up the elevator on a floor. The parking was very convenient and very secure since it required security access card to get in.

The bed was so comfortable. The staff friendly and very helpful. The elevators took forever - one (of 3) not working. The lobby was warm and welcoming, the staff very helpful, and the room quiet and restful.

terribly slow elevators. the parking lot is on a very steep incline. difficult to see what is coming when entering. parking on the sidewalk to register is difficult when so any passers-by are walking. nice hotel with great TVs and a micro, refrigerator and safe in every room. noisy on the Ala Moana side.
