Great location close to Miami Beach. Very basic facilities but clean. Overall very happy with our stay.

Myself and 2 girlfriends stayed there for 4 nights and we loved it, we had checked the pictures out online and knew what to expect. The staff in this hotel make it a great place to stay, its in a great location to walk just about everywhere, the beach, bars and clubs! They were happy to give lots of information and called to check out different places we wanted to go. The rooms were basic but super clean and big, with everything you need, the a/c was great and the beds very comfy. Great value for money! The only downside was that it was quite noisy

I am originally from Miami , florida and try to avoid staying at overpriced bedsits and pay outrageous parking fees in south beach. This was a cheap 4 day business trip and since I was without my wife and new born son , I gave it a go. The hotel is across the five star lowes and is a block or two away from the beach. There is a semi circle roundabout at the entrance to unload your stuff . You can park there for a night or in the parking structure across the street. I passed on both and parked in the public parking lot a few blocks down . an hour and its free from 12am to 9.am . The hotel serves complimentary breakfast 7.30 to 10am . Excellent! The room is very minimilist with a stereo player and TV . There is no carpet on the floor ( they must be tired of cleaning up sand all day) The bathroom and complimentary toiletries are excellent . The room has central air and a refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable . The door to the room is very heavy and you feel very secure. There is a Jacuzzi outside if you like . The staff was very attentive and the maid service was good! No complaints what so ever .

It was great, exactly what I expected. Not the cleanest or nicest quality, but exactly what we paid for and in a great location. Would highly recommend to anyone who is not too fussy :)

I arrived on beautiful thurs. a.m. way too early for check-in. Front desk attendant was kind enough to accommodate me with a room, not only that he upgraded my original accommodations from a room to a suite (included separate dining area with refrig. sofa, and table and chairs) that I was very pleased with. Microwave was located in the lounge area. Room exceptionally clean, bed was very clean and comfortable, room service very accommodating to my needs. The location is in the heart of everything!! Shopping, eating, people watching, clubbing, Especially the beach!!! I also made use of the hotel's pool, deck, and lounge. Continental breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again. Not to mention I left my IPOD there at the front desk charging and didn't realize it until I was at the airport. They made arrangements to have it sent to me once I got home!.

The location was amazing for the price. 1 block from the beach, 2 blocks from the mall, and clubs all around us. Everything we could want. We even found a grocery store a block away. The people that worked there were GREAT too. SOOOO nice. The lady that was there the day we arrived (which we knew was b4 check in time) offered to hold our bags in the office and gave us helpful advice on some places we can go. She reccommended a place for food, another place for drinks. Another night there was a guy on duty that spent a good 25 mintues just talking about Miami nightlife with us. He told us about the places that are AWESOME, and the places that are over rated. And we found out he was dead on. NOW, we read the reviews and completely expected the cement floors. If we wouldn't have read that, we might have been thrown off. But they turned out to be really nice for all the sand we brought in. And everything was clean. They could use some updated things, but the basic needs were fully covered. In room safe, cable tv and such. But even the stuff that needs an update was fully acceptable. So the sink wasn't brand new, who cares... everything worked. So the hairdryer was from 1950, we had brought our own anyway. Just amazing. I couldn't wait to get home and tell everyone how great our hotel experience was. They even have beach towels available for you, FREE beakfast. The breakfast was super nice the 1st day (Saturday morning) but the other 2 mornings it was just good enough. Oh, and this place completly lives up to the pics online. Very awesome retro furnishings & the middle area was fantastic. A+

If you are in desperate need of a hotel, find another one. My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at the Aqua hotel, and although the staff was very nice and the location was great, the positives end there. The walls are paper thin, and all day and night, we could hear the conversations (very loudly I may add) of our neighbors. The hotel appears to be going "green" which might explain the concrete floor (no carpet, no rugs, no tiles, just grey concrete). The bathroom shower and sink are from the 60's, with very old mirrors and faucets. One positive, if you can call it that, was that they apparently spray insecticide because we did find a large waterbug (roach) with it's legs up when we went into the bathroom one morning. Seriously, pay the extra $20 a night to stay elsewhere. They didn't have a pool either.

I read reviews before I booked, so I knew about the concrete floors. It's true, and they can be cold, the rooms could definitely use some area rugs. But the only major issue I had was the fact that the room was so cold. You can't control the temp, so I opened the windows at night and piled on the blankets and it was fine. The room is furnished pretty miminally, but get a room with a kitchenette and you have more furniture already! My room was huge (perhaps because of the lack of furniture) but SUPER clean. The kitchenette was clean, the bathroom was clean. It's an older miami art deco hotel, so you should expect old fixtures, but I didn't notice any menacing "peeling paint".I LOVED the inner courtyard and thought it was so miami. The hot tub was greatly appreciated after a long day and it wasn't loud or surrounded by blarring music. What I most appreciated after staying at other hotels on Collins Ave. is that every room has a view. It looks into the courtyard which has great palms, plants, fountains and seating areas. There are also some sun bathing beds which are nice in the morning. It just feels so home-like.The staff was friendly and very helpful in helping me get around.Parking is the same all over miami. Hotels generally have limited parking, so you can either pay 35/day to have the car parked in the front (only about 6 spots) or park in a garage. They're just around the corner, no big deal.I think it's a great place to stay with a group of friends, which I plan on doing in a few months. You're all together, it's comfy, clean and a good deal.

Aquahotel is an okay hotel if you are in Miami to do anything else but stay at the hotel. Its a small okay hotel, location was perfect, people were very nice. The room not all that nice and I saw to cockroaches in our room on the last day. =o(

I stayed at the Aqua over the new years break on a brief family getaway. We didn't last the night and left at 1:30 am after our stay was paid for. First the floors are RAW CONCRETE... not treated or decorative, but concrete in its raw form. This place in real life hardly stands up to the stylish pictures found in the advertisements. There were no rugs on the concrete floor as the advertisement pictures show. The bathroom was grungy, 'felt' and looked dirty. There was a (no lie) used towel in the tub. The shower leaked. The bed (on the raw concrete floor) had wheels that apparently didn't lock so the bed moved when you where on it. Try that for a safety issue. The so-called high speed internet cut out periodically during my brief use of it to book another hotel room. Parking is billed as "nearby". Translation: you've got to either park several blocks away, try to cross 4-6 lane Collins Avenue to a parking garage or pay 40 extra per day to park in the Aqua's 4 car turnaround. The safe did not open and it took the attendant more than two hours and several calls to open it so I could get my wallet to book another hotel. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke. Furniture was cheap looking and looked like it was from the 1960s. The entire experience was miserable. You would do well to avoid this place and pay a bit extra for a nicer hotel. If, however, you'll be drunk and partying at the night spots on South Beach, then you probably won't notice the defects in this place.

The location was great but the room was not that nice as other hotel boutiques in the area. The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all.

This hotel was horrible, especially considering the daily charge. The hotel rooms had concrete floors, no furniture to put clothing, the bathrooms were dirty, the paint on the tub and sinks was peeling off. I prepaid through your service for three nights and upon seeing the room checked otu and found another hotel on my own. I surrendered 2 nights because it was that bad.

The motel was reasonably priced and centrally located. Very close to Lincoln and to a public access to the beach. The retro d?cor was unique and it was a clean facility. The bed was very springy. Breakfast would have been okay but they lacked sufficient silverware, plates and food. We waited around long enough and the adequate food choice eventually was resupplied but clean silverware and plates never showed in the 30 mins we were there. Most people ate cereal out of a coffee cup with a fork. There was wifi but I had to sit outside of my room to connect. Expect to pay $20 for parking at several nearby garages. There is a baggage drop-off area in front of the motel. The big negative of this hotel is that the layout of the hotel is such that all rooms face inward onto a small courtyard. This makes for a perfect amplification chamber for noise. The mini pool, which is in the courtyard and about the size of a very large hot tub, closes at midnight. For the night we stayed there it was filled with 6 very loud guys that were getting drunk before their night out. It was too loud to sleep or even watch the TV. The noise stopped at midnight but it got very loud again for about an hour at 3am when all guys and the other drunk partiers returned. The unfortunate layout of the hotel made this place too loud for us. It was bad enough that we ate the cost of the 2nd night and found another quieter hotel. The hotel could not/would not provide a refund. If you are an all-night partier, this clean and centrally located hotel would be a great value. If you are looking for sleep, choose another location. I think the hotel could help the noise issue by closing the pool at 10pm and posting some signs requesting partiers to please be respectful of other guests when returning from the bars.

This hotel was adequate. When I first drove up, I admit I was concerned. However, inside was nicer than I expected. The rooms are small and the walls are thin, as most hotels I have stayed in while in Miami. Again, you are in Miami so you shouldn't be in the room that much anyway. My biggest complaint was the continental breakfast. It was terrible, very few options and what was there was picked through and not refilled. I would stay at this hotel again, very good location on Collins.

The Aqua hotel was located across street from beach. No problems, but the cement floor of room was a surprise. It was fine and clean. Still it served purpose for an inexpensive place to stay that was quiet and yet right there for South Beach fun.

very small rooms. untreated concrete floors. still under construction. not too bad if on small budget.

Aqua Miami Hotel, was worth the price. The most perfect location, clean room and very low price compared to other hotels in the same area made it very cost efficient. Although certain aspects of the overstay and extra charges seemed rather unfair. But for a short quick trip it was my perfect choice.

"Rough concrete floors in room were terrible. I should not feel like a homeless person living on the street. Peeling paint in ceiling, peeling paint in brown sink, super cheap furniture. No internet though advertised in website. I had an extremely bad experience with this hotel!!!"

The positives: This place is in the middle of everything you could possibly want to do. The kitsch factor is through the roof, and rather amusing. The view from the second floor deck is magnificent. The price is very reasonable. The cons: The furniture and fixtures are old and battle-scarred, giving the impression of uncleanliness (though, actually, the room is very clean). The walls are paper thin. The bare room seems doesn't quite hit the boutique mark it was going for. The bed/sheets is/are not comfortable.
