I travel a lot and I this is one of the best hotels I have been in. New construction, gorgeous modern design, wonderful food, 8 pools, great service, nice spa, etc. It's in front of the Isla mall with many restaurants & shops. If I had to point to something negative (which really wasn't) it would be that the pool restaurant was closing early (however, others opened afterwards) In general the staff wanted to make us feel welcomed; their logo is "your wish is our wish" which tells you a lot about the hotel. I want to go back SOON!!

I went with my 11yr. old son for a six day summer vacation. The resort is "top notch" in every aspect. It may have been the cleanest hotel in which I've ever stayed! You can not go wrong if you choose this hotel for your stay...I would go back tomorrow!

My wife and I went to the Aqua without our kids to rest and relax. The hotel is very good at that. The pools are great and at any given time you will find someone asleep in the "shelf" area of the pool. Also, probably the best hotel food that I have had in Cancun. We did not have a bad meal at any time. The location cannot be beat as it is right across the street from La Isla. So on the nights where we went out for dinner, we just walked across the street and went to La Madonna, Italianna and Thai. My one complaint is the maid service was hit or miss as was the turn down service at night. One of their big marketing things is the "aromatherapy" in the hotel and the fact that you can order up a different aroma each night. I think we only received ours for one of the five nights we were there. Plus nothing in our rooms for room service. No menu, no hotel map, nothing. I was surprised by this as it is a very nice hotel.

I took my 11yr. old son to Cancun for a summer vacation. I made a GREAT pick, having chosen Aqua! EVERYTHING about Aqua was TOP NOTCH!!! I believe it was the cleanest resort I have EVER visited! The staff was amazing; so attentive/polite/friendly. Did I mention how beautiful and CLEAN it was?!?! The food/pools/beach/rooms/service were absolutely PERFECT. I can not think of another hotel I would want to stay if we return to Cancun. I don't think it could get better, in any aspect, than Aqua. I aslo felt completely safe and comfortable at this resort; being a mom alone with her child. Thank you Travelocity...You rock!

If you are looking to visit a tropical paradise in the Cancun Hotel Zone away from the nightclub scene and just "slow down" look no further than Aqua. One of the finest spa's and pools you'll find anywhere. Soothing new age music and aromatherapy transcends the experience throughout the property. Excellent restuarants and lounges will keep you at home base if you desire. Service is polished and attentive. Rooms are modern with flatscreen TV's, marble floors and high cotton count linen on the beds. Food quality is excellent and signature cocktails are a must to try. Prices are not cheap. Expect to pay $ 14 per drink for Pina Colada at the bar and an average of $ 25 for lunch entrees and $ 39 for dinner. Celebrity chefs and seasoned mixologists have cast their talent on the recipes to impress - with success. Be aware of concierge coupon offers at check in for free spa treatments or free F&B - this includes a 2 hour presentation / discussion with local time share (points) rep with hotel company - can be medium to high pressure depending. Overall, great hotel, memorable, relaxing and worth a future return.

The Aqua is the newest hotel in the hotel zone and the best in location. It's close to La Isla mall and Plaza Kulkukan which makes shopping very convenient. It is also easy to hop on a bus to the restaurants. The moment we walked in (at 1am), they immediately brought out towels and tea. The aromatherapy is so soothing and the bed is so comfortable that I missed the pillows when I got home. We got an ocean front room with terrace and I swear the terrace is so large that I slept out there the first night and watched the sun rise from my lounge chair. The staff was very friendly and as soon as you walk out to the pool, they greet and help us set up towels at the lounge chairs. The drink and food prices are expectedly pricey, around 13 for a drink and 30 pp for breakfast. But their EGOS bar is awesome to hang out with friends. The hotel is not at full occupancy, so we received tons of attention while we were there. Their concierge helped us setup tours and called ground transportation without hesitation. Their spa is sooooo awesome too!!! I got a massage and my spouse got a body wrap which include a steam room, sauna, hot and cold jacuzzi treatment that makes you want to stay all day. The housekeeping comes twice a day and gave us a fountain and a zen garden each night. The pool is not particular crowded so it's not meant for people watching, but it is very relaxing just laying there and get some sun and listen to the waves..

Our stay at Aqua was fantastic! Its definitely a hotel for couples, families and older singles. It has a spa feeling when you walk in and the aromotheraphy smell was very nice and relaxing. We weren't sure how things in Cancun would be since tourism is down due to the flu scare. Things in Cancun were fine, safe ... quiet though but that was ok. The hotel had low occupancy but it didn't show in their service. All rooms have a great view, the staff was great. . helpful, courteous and always smiling. Everything was spotless! The pool area was great -- we spent a lot of our time there and the staff at the pool couldn't have been better. The breakfast buffet was really good .. buy the breakfast deal when you book. Location was good with the mall across the street for shopping and restaurants. You can catch a bus outside of the hotel and get to other restaurants and night life very easily or taxi is readily available as well. All in all and great trip and a great stay at The Aqua.

Aqua Cancun is JUST impressive! The whole hotel is a top contemporary slick architecture beauty. The staff are very professional and attending. We stayed in the Aqua suite, which is very expensive and once again, impressive. On their telephone in the room, their is a bottom called " your wish is my wish". Anything you want, you press the bottom, they call you by your last name and MAKE your wish come true. The breakfast buffet is exquisite. One again, the restaurant is beautiful, and the food is excellent. They have five different fresh squeezed fruit juices, champagne( yes, it is included.), even sushi and miso soup. Not to mention the best smoked salmon I've ever tested. The price is around 25 a person. They have 9 swimming pools, each has different temperature. They also burn oil in the lobby. You can request them in your room. The only thing is there is no kids activity. We have two young boys. That is the only thing which I don't like. Overall, I do love the hotel and I would stay there again.

A very low hotel occupancy rate made this trip even more relaxing than our previous trip.

This is an excellent hotel. Midsized property right on the Carribean. We loved the covered canopy beds right on the beach. These were $50 per day. $100 if you want the foot rub and appetizer package. Spend the money on this if you like to relax. So comfortable.

We spent most of our time at the pool. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was our favorite. The beach was short but you were still able to walk along it. We usually ate outside the hotel except for one night we ate at MB (great food). The mall is just across the street so we would walk across for lunch most days.

This was a first class stay all the way! The service was absolutely outstanding, the food excellent, the ocean view breathtakingly beautiful! The aqua suite was perfect in every way. Breakfast buffet was out of this world and I have a food and beverage back round in hotels. So many choices on it, fresh sushi, fruit, eggs, slow roasted meats, and french toast. Service in this hotel really is what made everything perfect, we ate lunch poolside everyday and it could not have been more perfect. Ocean front cabana comes with suite as does a 20 minute massage you can take outside in cabana or inside at spa. Spa is also an experience not to miss. We will definitely go back!

The Aqua Cancun was absolutely beautiful and it was a refreshing vacation. The service was top notch. The staff is very friendly they always made you feel like you were at home. The Spa was very relaxing and soothing. And the pools were amazing to look at from our patio of our room at night. And they were wonderful to swim in and just relax. We actually used the gym while we were there and it is equipped with every piece of equipment imaginable. We are planning on going back in April 2010 WITH the kids.:) It will be an early graduation gift for our daughter.

Aqua had a wonderful spa. This hotel is all about relaxation, which was a plus for my husband and I. Love the many pools and the view from the pools was excellent. The 3 restaurants were great but pricey. I did not pay anything for the breakfast because that was included. The staff was wonderful. Hotel was located away from the noisy groups. We went at the end of Feburary and it was perfect weather. Had a blast. Will continue staying with Aqua even will bring our children here.

This is maybe, the best set of swimming, wadding, sunning, swim up bar pools, kid (I think 5 in all) with posted tempatures of each pool I have ever seen.GREAT Also the whole hotel has a mystic aroma by way of essence oils being warmed through out the entire hotel as well as your room if you care. A great place with great staff.
