I would not recommend staying at this hotel AT ALL! The bathroom squeals for 10 minutes after you flush. There is no TV in the private room. Little to no kitchen. ALL THE DISHES WERE DISGUSTING! They all needed rewashing. There really is no breakfast unless you call in the night before. I dont know what complimentary wireless service they are talking about, I had to connect to a unreliable source that wasn't provided by the hotel at all. The towels are a weird yellow stained color. But they look white. (hold them up to the light). The balcony is unfurnished, so they lied about it being furnished. Everything works fine. The hotel is fairly cheap. There is no phone book, not even a pen. I would recommend paying a little extra money to stay at a better hotel . 3/4 of our hotel room keys didn't work. They only have drawers in the private room, so for the two staying out in the "living area" must keep all their clothing in their suitcases. The balcony is very small. The rail is pretty unreliable as well. The water can't decide if it really wants to be hot or cold. If you try to make it warm, sometimes it will turn freezing randomly, or extremely hot. The sound of this hotel is TERRIBLE! Being woken up EVERY 30 minutes to a bus stopping or the exhaust of it. I was on the 4th floor. I couldn't sleep at all. I had to wear earplugs! Even then I couldn't sleep still because I could still hear everything outside. The sound in the bahtroom magnifies. This hotel offers the very basic needs. The area with two twin beds blends with kitchen. - Family Suite One Bedroom. :(

Staff was very friendly, complimentary coffee was a plus, continental breakfast was a nice convenient start to the day when you're heading out. Location was fabulous. Very short walk to the beach, but away from the business of the beach. Also very close to restaurants, shops, and the International Marketplace. Lobby was very nice and comfortable. Pool area was very nice. Rooms are ok. Under renovations, so will be a lot nicer once they are complete.

This was my first time to go to Hawaii I had a great time and my stay at the aqua Bamboo was just as great. I love how close to the beach it was. My room was just redone and very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful... I will be back!!!!!!

We began our vacation with reservations at the Aqua Equus Hotel which we found to be very inadequate and we asked to be transfered to the Bamboo. We were very very happy when we transfered and the staff was very pleasant. We have also stayed at the Aqua Wave which I also highly recommond. Great chain of hotels and you won't be sorry you stayed there!

Loved the location. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the second floor in a smoking room facing the street. It was very noisy. Would suggest to maybe spray smoking rooms with some airfreshner - did have a lingering of cigarette smoke. We bought our own spray - did help some. I know - smokers are "terrible" people! Otherwise, no complaints.

The hotel location is great compared to the price. Only two small blocks from Waikiki Beach and shops. Carpet feels dirty, rooms need to be upgraded. Water pressure in the shower was low. Beds are comfortable. Parking is very scarce and expensive. Might have to park across the street (which isn't far, just a little inconvenient). Lobby and pool area very clean and nicely decorated. If traveling with buddies, probably a good place. If traveling with family, or want a romantic getaway, probably not a great place. Staff was friendly and great!!

For the money it cannot be beat. My room was huge by Honolulu standards. The hotel is clean and comfortable. One block from the beach. Free continental breakfast. Coffee, juice, a piece of fruit and a pastries is all I need in the morning. I would stay here again.

First off...my girlfriend and I reserved a suite and upon entering our room found a small drabby room with dirty carpet and a bed that consisted of two fullsize matresess put together. I immediately went to the front desk and asked to be put into what we had made a reservation for, a suite. The receptionist just said that bedding was not guaranteed since we booked the room online, and there was nothing she could do since all the rooms were full. My girlfriend and I both work in customer service, and were astonished at how she had handled the situation. On top of all that the rooms were in need of some updating, which is ok, you get what you pay for, but the service was just unexcusable. The maids never changed our sheets, barley made the bed. They also give you these "spa robes" in the room, which you have to purchase for 30 bucks. The robes in our room were wrinkled like they had been worn, and had stains on them, I was scared to touch them. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, not to mention the sorry excuse for a continental breakfast, apples, juice, and dinky pastries. I would definately not recomend this hotel!

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and had the min. Required. The location of the hotel made up for some of the short comings of the hotel.

The room was ok, nothing exciting, nothing bad. I did find a 2 inch cockroach under the head board on my last day. I also complained of someone smoking pot in the lanai next to me which I could see and I showed to a maintenance staff member, and the smell entering my room. The hotel staff including the night manager was afraid to confront the guest in any manner.

Very nice, but the bathroom and kitchen area of my room need a makeover. I saw their new plans for room remodels and it will be beautiful. Incredibly nice staff. Excellent massage therapist, but the spa is a bit tiny. The pool is small but has a very nice atmosphere. Well done.

My experience in this hotel was wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Honolulu. I've traveled extensively, and the staff at this hotel was the most courteous Ive ever come across. I will definitely return to this hotel for business and pleasure.

Despite a very convenient location, the decor was out of the '70s. It would be a good idea for them to use some of the substantial income they receive from high room rates to update this disappointing hotel. I would expect to pay half the rate charged for these accommodations.
