We had a very pleasant stay. Our room was extremely comfortable and well furnished with some nice touches. The breakfast was good and the owners were very friendly. It was also easy to park outside. So, all in all, it met our requirements admirably.A slight potential downside was the seating arrangements for breakfast. There were not individual tables but we all sat around a large table. This is fine if you enjoy chatting over breakfast but not quite so good if you would rather have breakfast in peace and quiet.

Excellent overnight stay at Applewood HouseWe spent one night here en route to Durham but would have been happy to have spent longer! The owners were welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was attractively decorated and furnished with a surprisingly spacious en-suite, which included a bath. Everything we could have needed was provided.The house itself is situated in a quiet residential area of Harrogate and the centre is a pleasant 10 minute walk away with a wide selection of restaurants.A good, traditional breakfast was served and we would recommend the house speciality!

It was very comfortable, spotless, tastefully decorated and had all the facilities you could want. The couple who own the Applewood were very helfpul and friendly. A great stay.

Applewood HouseThis is a lovely hotel/b&b, the room was extremely clean and nicely decorated and the owners are really helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom felt luxurious by normal b&b standards. Breakfast was delicious too. It's also handy for visiting Harrogate - about a 20 minute walk or five minute drive into the town centre.

Friendly faces at Applewood HouseWe were provided with great service, lovely food and plenty of local information, just what you need when you're not familoiar with the area. The house is kept clean and tidy and breakfast was marvellous - lots of homemade fayre to set you up for a long day.

Very nice hotel - well decorated, friendly staff and great food!We enjoyed our stay here very much. The couple who run it are friendly and efficient, and the food is excellent. The hotel has recently been renovated and is warm and welcoming.

Excellent place to stayWarm welcom and help with the bags to the room. Beautiful building, tall rooms and decorated to a high standard. Breakfast was wonderful. Good advice re restaurants and more, friendly and welcoming to other guests. Good location for the town and surrounding areas if travelling about. 5 mins from The Pavillions easy to find. Plenty of parking on the street right outside of the premises. Will be re booking for our next stay.

Home from HomeExcellent standard guest house. Hosts are very friendly and attentive. Felt more like friends than customers. Ideal place to stay if you like a place where you will quickly become a member of the family--not a place for those who might wish to be more anonymous. On road parking though. My car was slightly damaged while parked.\r\n\r\nManagement Response\r\n\r\nI am very sorry that the customers car was damaged, unfortunately the guest did not make us aware of this. We do offer limited off road parking to our guests.

A really nice place to stop off at on the way home - although I am sure it would be lovely for longer too! Very quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was lovely and the room was beautifully decorated - a real home from home. My husband even wanted to kidnap the teddy (but I wouldn't let him!!)The only down side was that the owners were not available at the time we initially would have like to arrive, however they did call and let us know beforehand and we agreed a revised arrival time a bit later in the day, which was not a major problem. (We do recognise that they deserve a life away from the hotel - it was just a bit inconvenient!)All in all a great place to stay.

If you're stopping over in Harrogate - stay here! It's a great bed and breakfast - tastefully decorated; friendly owners; clean and comfortable. Oh, and a good breakfast too.

Very friendly and welcoming - recommendedThis was an excellent and friendly small hotel/guesthouse set in a quiet suburban street. The breakfast was superb and cooked to order. The room was pleasant and very clean. The owners were very nice and helpful. Wi-fi was available and free although it didn't work very well for me.The only thing to watch out for is finding the place as it is in St Georges Road which is nowhere near the central St Georges Hotel! Essentially you come in on the Leeds Road and take an immediate left at the first roundabout you come to.

Great place to stayThis guest house is fairly centrally located and not too far from the conference centre, parking was easy just outside the door. The owners are charming, exceedingly friendly and very helpful. The food was freshly prepared and well cooked. The room was well kitted with very nice extra touches, including where to eat which was very much appreciated. The only reason for a five not six in the room was that we found the bed a little hard, probably just our preference. Overall a lovely place to stay and recommended for a a little bit of peace in a busy schedule.

A great experienceWe were made very welcome and comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very convenient for Harrogate, and close enough for a good walk to RHS Harlow Carr. Breakfast was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting at a large table with the other guests.

Great find on late roomsWe had an excellent stay at Applewood House. We only decided to visit Harrogate at short notice and it was the first time we have booked accommodation through late rooms. Applewood is an excellent place to stay for a short break. We only stayed for one night but the welcome we received was very warm. The room was spotless and the bathroom had everything you could possibly need. The bed was comfortable and again very clean. The breakfast was fantastic very filling. It is a very nice walk into Harrogate about 20 minutes to the town centre. We would definately visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Applewood House. We received a really friendly welcome, the room was excellent and Barry and Lesley couldn't have been more helpful and there is even a list of tried and tested restaurants in Harrogate in your room, which we thought was a great touch. A very clean guesthouse, lots of character and the breakfast was lovely. Would definately go back!.

Easter break at ApplewoodStayed here with my husband at easter, what an absolute gem of a find this B & B was. The owners Lesley and Barry were so welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. We had a beautiful room, so cosy, clean and comfortable, with that extra personal touch. The breakfast was second to none, everything you could ever want. Wish we could have stayed longer, but there,s always a next time. Thankyou
