Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Ausseerland and the Salzkammergut, its apartment and family hotel Montana enjoys an incomparable south-facing location at the foot of the famous Grimming. The hotel is the ideal starting point to visit nearby attractions, such as the Hallstatt World Heritage Site and the salt mines. There are many swimming lakes and beautiful hiking and cycling routes in the vicinity. This hotel offers a hospitable and family-friendly ambiance that is ideal to relax and spend your well-earned holiday. Summer: Bad Mitterndorf offers many relaxing leisure and sports activities. In the spring there is the popular daffodil festival and in the fall the forests are colourful and stunning. There are many lakes that are ideal for swimming. The Alp street to the Tauplitz Alp rises to 1600 metres above sea level and starts directly next to our hotel. The hotel offers a wonderful panorama view of Grimming, Totes Gebirge (dead mountains) and the glacier Dachstein. Winter: The ski run of our family ski area ends near our hotel which means that you can ski until our doorstep, if there is enough snow. This hotel is a great location for ski holidays as it is in Bad Mitterndorf, in the ski area Tauplitz alp - one of the areas of Austria where snow can be guaranteed. The area can get up to 5 metres of snow and in March we normally still have around 3 metres snow. The 200 km loipe in Bad Mitterndorf, Ausseerland, is ideal for cross-country skiing for all levels of ability. The loipe entry area starts only 200 metres from our hotel. You can choose between spacious double rooms, junior suites and fully equipped apartments for 2 to 7 persons. All rooms, suites and apartments feature one or two bathrooms with shower and toilet (sometimes separately).

Hotel's beautiful south-facing apartment hotel offers many leisure opportunities. In addition to a wellness area with sauna, solarium, relaxation room and fitness room, there are two play rooms for children and teenagers. In summer you can enjoy the sunbathing area or the terrace with its wonderful view of the Grimming. The Tauplitz Alp boasts a unique mountain panorama with 6 mountain lakes and Its snow-sure ski area's downhill runs end 200 metres from the hotel. In winter it offers a free transfer to the slopes.

Enjoy the big breakfast buffet including special bio and health corner. In the Summer you can make a choice out of 3 restaurants in the village (first 150 meters distance) in the winter our own restaurant offers dining with product form the region and special theme diner. At night there is a 4 course diner for you. You can daily make a choice out of several menus.
