If you are looking to walk to most historical sites in Rome this is a great place to stay. The Colosseum is at the end of the street and its a short walk to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Quattro Fontana and much more. There are a few good restaurants right down the street as well as shopping and ATM. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone headed to Rome.

It was a small, family-run hotel. The room was rather spacious, clean and quiet although the shower corner was very, very small. The breakfast at the roof top terrace was nice. Although the hotel did not encash euro travelers check, the hotel showed me a money changer at five minutes walk who encashed T/C with a reasonable three percent commission. There was a super market at a few minutes walk from the hotel. There were several bus stops along the near main street and we used bus and subway services very often.

Very comfortable and clean room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideally located for visiting the Coliseum and the Forum. Easy bus journey to other locations in Rome. Breakfast on roof was wonderful, especially the pastries.

This was my third visit to Rome and I wanted to be near the Forum. The Apollo was a fantastic hotel. We were a family of 7, 1 single, 1 couple, 1 couple and 17 month old and the "old folks". Massimo and his family could not have been more helpful or nicer. The hotel was lovely, well situated, the rooms were very nice and the breakfast was superb! We will always stay at the Apollo when we return to Rome. I can't imagine a better location or a warmer welcome. Massimo, we love you!!!

My stay at the Apollo Hotel in Rome was just what I wanted. Close to the Metro and walking distance to many areas, it is family run and they were happy to help with arrangements and reservations. The hotel is very conveniently located, clean, modern and quiet. The breakfast was very nice with a varied array of selections. I would recommend this to friends and would stay there again.

The Apollo was a good choice for a mid-priced, clean, well run hotel in Rome, where it is hard to find something decent at this price. Breakfast on the rooftop garden was good, although a bit sparse if you get there late. Room and bathroom were very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. A few complaints, but minor ones--one light was missing a bulb, towels were thin, and TV didn't work but the remote probably just needed a new battery which we didn't bother asking for as we didn't need the TV anyway. Overall, a good bargain for Rome. We walked everywhere, although it is quite a hike to Spanish Steps area. This was our third trip to Rome, just spent a few days there before heading north to Venice and Lake Como. Were glad to get away from the hustle and bustle of Rome, even though we love it!

Great location. Walking distance to major attractions and metro station. Good clean rooms and nice rooftop breakfast. Only negatives - towels (very thin), would not turn on air-conditioning when asked so room very warm at night & had to open window but nosiy outside ... could not print from the pc in reception.

Exactly as expected from the info on Venere. Recently renovated. Double room at front fairly small, but adequate (there are larger)and being on a side street, very quiet for Rome. Service from the family owners efficient rather than friendly- we did not need any advice or services. Breakfast OK but rather basic for international travellers. Would stay again.

On our trip to Italy, my family and I stayed in 2 different Rome hotels, and only 1 night at the Apollo. I would stay there again if I had the opportunity. The family that runs it is wonderful, the rooms were the best we had anywhere - spacious, clean, and well furnished, and the Colosseum is within easy walking distance of the hotel. Grazie! I would recommend Hotel Apollo to anyone, young or mature.

Hotel Apollo is located right in the middle of Rome, with bus stop around the corner to get to all important places. The room was very small but with everything I needed (the bath was nearly bigger than the room itself). I got a room to the back yard, so there was no noise at all. The breakfast on the top of the roof was good. An excellent place to stay in Rome when you just want to see a lot of places and not spending much time at the hotel.

It was a great hotel. It is centrally located to the Colisseum and not far from the Trevi Fountain. It is a quiet street but accessible to good shopping on Via Nazionale street. We were able to walk to most of the locations. The hotel is very clean and the service is very good. It is family owned, their english is limited but they are still very helpful. We received maps, they will call reasonable taxis, and they gave us great suggestions for restaurants. They are very accomdating. I would defintely stay again. Also, the breakfast on the rooftop was a nice addition. I would highly recommend the hotel
