Adequate rather than special.Location was the main plus point.

My room was very tired looking with a lovely peach bathroom suite and a shower that you had to hug the wall to use. The bed was not very comfortable, even though this was a single room overall it was very small and hot. I was only there for the evening and arrived late and left early so it served its purpose.

Room was small, bathroom needed updating. Romm was overlooking main road and very noisy with window open for air. Evening meal was excellent but unable to sample breakfast as I had left each morning before they had started.

The hotel is situated close to the centre of St Helier and within easy walking distance of the shops, harbour etc. The bedroom we stayed in was clean and well decorated to a basic standard (although carpet in the bathroom was rather offputting). The ground floor areas (reception, bar, dining room) were all very clean and of a good standard. The buffet breakfast was good but not outstanding. All employees should learn how to smile.

Within easy walking distance of the centre of St Helier, this is a perfectly adequate 3 star hotel. For the price, good value.

This place is ok--there was nothing particularly wrong with my stay. But the fixtures and fittings are tired, the lift smells of mushrooms. I am assured that there are better places to stay for the money elsewhere in St Helier and I can well believe it.

Good buffet breakfast provided daily, and the hotel is in walking distance of the town centre and the new bus station. Room had a king-size bed and there wasn't much room between the bottom and the small writing table but otherwise room was OK and comfortable. The shower was very difficult to get at the right temperature and then didn't remain as that temperature, but that was the only dwonside.

Room clean but dated, bathroom in need of an urgent re-fit. Breakfast was O/K except on the 1st morning when the quality of some of the food was poor, It would help if some of the staff smiled. The hotel was clean but also in need of reburbishment but was perfectly positioned on the edge of St Helier's town, we will certaintly visit Jersey again but not at the Opollo Hotel unless a major re-fit takes place.

A wonderful hotel. I was upgraded into a balcony rooom which was a pleasant surprise. The facilities were excellent, the breakfast and dinner were lovely and will definitely go back. Not too far to walk into St Helier and was kindly given a map by the receptionist which came in very handy!!! It was a very cheap break for a high standard hotel.

Best part is the location and price. £55 a night and 100 yards from the main shoping street

This hotel was comfortable, clean and the service was faultless. We only had breakfast and this was pentiful and hot. We decided to upgrade the room due to reading previous comments and I think we did the right thing as front facing rooms are on the busy road right near traffic lights. The decor is tired and old fashioned although some would call it traditional. They have keys to the rooms not cards. The pub next door was welcoming and had atmosphere. The hotel is within spitting distance of the shops and an easy walk to the bus station. If you like Indian, the best one is opposite the hotel but you need to pre book. We thoroughly recommend this hotel as a pleasant and good value place to stay.

After I booked at The Apollo, I read a few feedback reviews which didnt rate it very much. I was a bit worried what I was letting myself and my friends in for. I must say that I was completely surprised, the staff were very friendly especially Carlos in the bar. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I think that the rooms are all being redecorated before the summer season starts. The pool area was lovely as was the sauna etc. The breakfast was good with plenty of it. The hotel itself is just a few minutes from town. We will certainly being going back again in the future.

Only 5 mins walk from the town centre. Read some negative comments on here but I found everything about the hotel very satisfactory and as good as any other three star hotel. Will certainly stay here again.

The hotel was excellantly situated to explore the town of St helier, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was to die for. The rooms were ample size and the facilities within them were good. Would suit the older clients as children seemed to be frowned upon, mostly by the staff actually!!

hotel staff very helpful. Organised a hire car to be delivered. very convenient car park . Breakfast very good and comprehensive. Our room was in need of some attention to the decor but was clean and well looked after. This did not detract from our stay.
