Description:
The Apache Motel is an Historic Inn located in a quiet peaceful setting close to Mill Creek Parkway and numerous, shops, galleries, adventure companies and museums. We are the closest hotel to the world famous Slick Rock Bike Trail. Our motel is family owned and operated with world class friendliness and service. You can count on the amenities at our motel (large rooms, swimming pool, queen beds, hair dryer, shampoos, plush towel and bedding, free wireless hi-speed internet, buisness center, non-smoking rooms, extensive cable tv including Disney and HBO, refrigerators and microwaves in many rooms.) and all this for the price of a budget motel. While you stay, come down to the lobby and have a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee and learn about the history of the Apache and it's famous guest from our managers. John Wayne always Stayed here while making Western Movies in the area. In fact he stayed for months at a time in what is now the John Wayne Suite where he and Pilar and the kids spent many summer days and nights. We have preserved the John Wayne Suite in his honor and believe it to be the best suite in Moab. While in the lobby look over the preeminent volume of Western Film History. "Where God Put the West" and learn why John Ford, Henry Fonda, Anthony Quinn, Dorthoy Malone, Yvonne De Carlo and many others made the Apache their home away from home. In the last three years we have "spiffed up" the motel with new luxurious queen sized beds, new and extra lighting, new bedspreads which make our rooms, we believe, as good as any motor homes. Moab is the largest and nearest city to Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. The Colorado River with rafting and river excursions runs by Moab's north end. Moab is according to most experts the best mountain biking area anywhere in the U.S. and the hiking and biking trails must be seen to be believed. Did I mention that we are friendly? Just ask our staff for recommendations for

Great little motel, good beds as we were really tired from driving and hiking. Checked in no problem, Motel is older but in good condition. Had a refer and Micro. we uesd the refer for our water jug 2 1/2 gal and juices. The Office even said we could get ice for our little cooler for the next day. I would stay there again for sure.

The motel was quite old and didn't look like it had ever been updated, including a torn carpet and stained vinyl floor in the bathroom. It was clean and roomy. The most exciting thing was actually getting assigned the room where John Wayne used to stay! I could live with the rest.

We staied two night and it was good. A little far from the downtown but quiet location.

This is where you want to be, off of Main Street with its busy truck traffic. A nice, 4 block walk into town after a long day of driving. Moab is like a nostalgic step back in time. We went out sight seeing in the morning, returned to our cool and quiet room in the heat of afternoon, and then headed out to the desert rock formations again after dinner. A handy menu planner offered free helps you locate and choose among the many great places to eat.

The Apache Motel suited our needs very well. It was well off the main street of Moab and very quiet. Comfortable beds. Good towels. Not overdecorated, but pleasant enough. Very friendly and responsive staff. Our dog, also was very comfortable there, and had very little occasion to object to outdoor noises. Our single objection was to the perfume used by the staff to 'deodorize' the place. We checked the smell of the sheets and pillowcases, and sure enough, they had no smell.

We loved the Apache Hotel in Moab, Utah. It had such historic value. John Wayne stayed there often when he made movies. We thought the price was right and by the time we got there, it was totally full.

The Apache is a welcome change from the generic, corporate feel of the low to mid range hotel chains. We were greeted by a warm, friendly desk clerk who gave us all the information we needed without being prompted. promptly. The furniture was dated, but the room was spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. The heated pool was a plus as well. Location is only four blocks from the main street with plenty of dining and shopping options.

Nice, clean motel. Very friendly staff and very helpful. We had a very late check-in the first night and they made arrangements for us. Location is O.K. because you will probably be ready for bed as soon as you return from doing things in Moab. Air conditioning was very welcome in July. It is a few blocks from downtown but not bad. A nice place to stay.

The Apache takes you back in time. It's a little nostalgic to stay in the same motel where John Wayne was a regular. The floor squeaks a little and the TV is a little outdated but heck, it was a great inexpensive place to catch some ZZZs in the king size bed before hitting the trail. Not with a horse mind you, but a Jeep. I appreciate having a microwave and a refrigerator even though the one we had froze the vegetables and made soup out of the container of ice cream. Figure that one out partner! Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday.

We have stayed many times at the Apache Motel in Moab - we like the location and the people are great.

This is an older hotel. Heck, John Wayne stayed here at one time, and they even have a John Wayne room! Even though it is older, it is clean, and the hotel staff is extremely nice! It is a bit outdated, however it is a great value, and if you only need a place to sleep and shower after having fun biking in Moab, or hiking at Arches National park, then this place is just fine. Arches is only a few minitues drive away, and the hotel is only a short distance to neat shops and micro brew resturants.

The Apache is an old school motor lodge in the middle of Moab. It's a lot of fun if you like stepping back in time.

The service at the Apache Hotel was very nice. They were nice people. The rooms were very clean and taken care of. I felt like our room was a good sized room. The bathroom was a good size. It had been remodeled. The only thing that had not been remodeled in the bathroom was the fixtures in the bathtub. I would have like it much better had the fixtures been newer. There was a king sized bed, table and chairs and a fridge. The closet was a good size as well. They had excellent infomration on the town and its attractions as well as a great dinning guide. Everything altoghter was nice and we would stay there again.
