Aore Island Resort

Aore Island Resort is set on the beachfront and surrounded by a tropical coconut plantation (pronounced ??ow-ree??) Island, just 3kms across the channel from Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu??s largest island.

Vanuatu formerly known as New Hebrides is a group of 83 islands in the Pacific Ocean about 1900kms north east of Brisbane Australia. Visitors to Aore Island Resort fly direct from Australia or via Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu to Pekoa International Airport, Santo. It is then only a 5 minute drive from the airport to the Resort Ferry and a 10 minute ride across the Segond Channel to the resort.

The Resort Ferry takes you away from Santo and is only a short trip to the private Aore Island Resort. On arrival you will be impressed with the clear blue water and the number of fish, we call it our natural fish pond. The wharf leads to the large Traditional Melanesian Style Nakamal. The Nakamal is situated on the waterfront and has views across the channel. The Beachfront Bungalows spread out on either side on a sandy coral beach running the full length of the resort and large shady trees offer a cool retreat from the sun. The 12m pool is set beside the Nakamal. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Aore Island Resort will close for pool renovations in the traditional low season as follows, 12 February 2011 to 28 February 2011 (inclusive)
