This was a comfy and friendly hotel away from the cut and thrust of the Old Market area of town which is very touristic. An easy tuk-tuk ride from Angkor Thom, Ankor Wat and about 12 smaller temples or sites, and close the excellent new National Museum (a branch of the mother-ship in the capital). The Angkor Star is beginning to show its age and needs a thorough scrub and stuff like regrouting around the bath fittings. Also aircon in my room was not very effective while my neighbour's was great. Also my hot water was rusty at times, fine at others. But breakfast is good and wide-ranging enough and staff are very quiet, courteous and helpful; I didn't dine there otherwise. A salt swimming pool is good with plenty of recliners and English-language local newspapers are updated daily. I'd stay here again, but would be happier if it were a bit fresher looking. Good value.

This hotel has seen better days. It lacks maintenance, supervision of the cleening and insect repellant!! The pool smells of parafine. The area around the pool is filthy. Some of the staff are extrordinary. Resuaurant food is overprized. And get your laundry done else where, a whole bag can be done for a prize of a pair of nickers at the hotel.

Hygiene being the main priority for any visitor, I believe there could have been more attention to cleanliness in the bathroom. For example, mold on the shower curtain. These should either be cleaned with a strong domestic cleaner such as bleach or replaced. Toilets need to be scrubbed, and maybe the toilet seat to be tightened. The bathroom is a place that requires high standards in any home and/or hotel. I feel that if this can be achieved you will win any person over. Thank you

This hotel was very good value. The room ws big and clean. The pool area was nice, and the hotel is well located a 10 min stroll from markets, restaurants and pubs. The only negative for me was the breakfast was not oo good. If you went late there was very little left and even the made to order omlettes had no taste.

The hotel room was a shock. It wasn't what I expected. It was dim and dirty. The floor wasn't sweep. There were dirt, dust on the floor. The bed sheets and bed cover where dusty and dirty , stain were found on the white bed sheet and walls of the rooms. The furniture look so worn out and old. Overall I won't recomend it to anyone.

I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel! We booked a Deluxe Room (Twin) with extra bed and got 2 large spacious adjoining rooms with a huge bathroom that had both a shower cubicle and a bath with shower? My wife and I and 12 year old daughter could'ent have been happier! The staff was courteous and eager to please at all times! The location was good and but a short walk to the towns restaurants, markets etc! I would however like to offer a suggestion and this would apply to most of the hotels I ever visited around the world; There was no where to hang things like camera's, article's of clothing, towels, bags and all manner of things?(other than the wardrobe) Why can't someone think to put a row of pegs on the blank walls, as I'm sure the hotel guests would really appreciate your foresight and thoughtfulness! Many Thanks.

Rooms were very big. I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and got 2 queen sized beds (1 in Master Bedroom and one in living room)! Bathroom facilities are good and reception staff quite nice.

the rooms were big and clean. Breakfast is not so good. Staff are very accomodating and helpful. Nice location also. Near restaurants and the night market.
