The Angelina was excellent value for the price. We can only echo the good comments of other reviewers. The room was comfortable, our bathroom was a good size and included a large shower. The hotel staff were helpful and caring. Breakfast was great - loved the freshly baked croissants with marmalade filling, and freshly made coffee (of any variety). We drove to Sant'Agnello, but left the car parked at the hotel for most of the time - taking the train to Pompei was so easy, and going into Sorrento (and the Capri ferry dock) was a 10 minute bus ride or a 20 minute walk. We enjoyed dinners at three different restaurants within a few minutes walking distance of the hotel. We had a great stay.

You cannot go wrong. 20 minute walk to Sorrento, 1Euro bus. Fabulous breakfast (be realistic here - no full English breakfast). Just great surroundings.

Hotel Angelina is on a quiet side street, but close to the train station. When you exit the train station and come out to main street, take a right, in several blocks, you will see the sign for the hotel. Hotel staff extremely accomodating, breakfast served by a white jacketed waiter who always remembered how you liked your coffee. A good value, would stay here on next visit.

I can only recommend this lovely hotel. The service from the cleaning staff was very good, the hotel is really clean, the staff in general very helpful, friendly and happy to meet you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Even on my last day the young man in reception drove me to the bus stop to go to the airport. The hotel offers only breakfast, but it is a perfect breakfast. Plenty of bread, butter, marmalade and jams, as well as a very large croissant, different fruits and plenty of fruit juice. The coffee was absolutely perfect and the waiter in charge of breakfast was kind and very polite. I shall recommend this hotel to any of my friends who may like to go to that area of Italy. The hotel is fifteen minutes walk from Sorrento and is like three minutes walk from a perfect semi-secluded beach. I wish Paulo and Stepanie, the young couple who run the hotel, all the the success possible. I intend to stay with them next year when I plan to visit the area again. M. Parischewsky (London)

Excellent value for money, at less than half the price of any other nearby hotels. Room was basic but clean. Only negatives were the poor quality towels and the few ants in the bathroom, although to be fair Angelina is not unique in that respect - there were ants most places in and around Sorrento. Breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly, helpful and spoke reasonable English. Great location for Sorrento itself - 10-15 minute walk or 5 minutes on the very frequent bus. Wonderful little restaurant just a couple of minutes away - really relaxed local place with good, cheap food. Would stay there again without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone.

I chose Angelina because of other favourable reviews on Venere homepage. Better to stay in S Agnello than in expensive Sorrento. Angelina is a very good example of how much better a small, family-owned and family-managed hotel can be, in contrast to big, overproud and expensive hotels with many stars (which in reality can be very small). Absolutely professional service in the breakfast room. Special thanks to Paolo at the desk for extra help in finding a hotel in Napoli! No problem going by the Circumvesuviana railway to Sorrento, Pompeji, Napoli etc. Also, a few nice little restaurants in the vicinity. We were three couples, rather recently retired. Very satisfied. Would gladly return.

Essentially sightseeing Sorrento and came up with an excellent offer through Venere.com A two star hotel without an elevator but aside from that the service, accommodation and location was very good. Information provided by hotel staff made it easy to travel to Sorrento, Isle of Capri and even Amalfi Coast. A good a quality as a 3 star hotel. Highly recommended and would stay again.

We had a great time at the Angelina, the owners and staff were very friendly and the hotel location is excellent, just outside Sorrento so you don't have to pay the higher prices. If you want a good value hotel within easy reach of all the famous sites, this is the hotel for you. This is the first time we have stayed in Sant'Agnello and we would definitely go back to the Angelina.
