Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Being winter the price was very low.. we thought that the room, great service and breakfast was very good value for such a great location (the Colosseum is that the end of the street!)Being so cheap it was a ground floor room but it was new, clean and comfy, plus being in Rome with so much to do and in such a convenient location we hardly spent any time in the room so we didn't miss having a view. I would recommend it.

Our stay at Anfiteatro Flavio B&B was a very pleasant experience. The staff was excellent. I had a problem with a lost cell phone and the staff went above and beyond to help me. I so appreciated their assistance. The hotel was very quaint and well appointed with all the neccessities. We had a private bath, safe in the room, refridgerator, access to a computer, flat screen TV (although we only got Italian Stations, but when in Rome!!!) It was clean and very well maintained. The location was exceptional. It is located in the center of the monument district within walking distance of the coliseum. There were a number of really good reasonable resturants nearby and a great gellatta shop across the street. I will definately stay there again.

The hotel is in Ancient Roma- 10 min from Colosseo, 10min from Campodiglio, 15 min from Trastevere, 15 min from Trevi Fountain and Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Maybe 30min walk to Villa Borgese and Vatican. We were offered a 2 br apartment next door for same rate as a room which was awesome! There is a small piazza next door with places to eat and drink-We loved the location!! The area was different and had a Gelato place right across the street and these very nice ladies next door selling cosmetics!!

The hotel was in a great position, as you step out of the door you could see the Colosseum. We was not in the main part of the hotel, which when you enter does appear very compact and small, but this is in a very small street. We were taken outside and through another door next door but one. This lead us to some stairs which we had to go up two flights to get to an apartment for 5. The stairs were a problem for our mum, we did request a room somewhere else but they said no room. The room was very basic but did have two rooms which was better for us. We decided it wasn't that bad, but the reception did call us about 5 mins later and offer us another room, which we felt they had made the effort to accomodate our request, but we did decline the offer. The room was on the front of the hotel facing the street, we requested this. We like to be able to look out of a window and get the feel of Rome, cars, people atmosphere, our 11 year old loved this, he thought it was great. But dont go here if you want top luxury and peace and quiet, the hotel offers good service, clean facilities but it is basic . The breakfast was fine, it did the job. I feel the hotel is good but it is a little overpriced for what you get, i think they should at least offer tea and coffee facilities in your room. Although there is a great coffee shop and icecream parlour straight over the road. Overall we did have a good time, central location, and would revisit. Sometimes you have to pay a little more for the location rather than the facilities in Rome.

The hotel was very accessible. On the first night we were put into a very cramped space but then changed to a very spacious room the next day. The room was very nice and clean. The staff were very approachable and helpful.We were shocked by the way the taxi's would rip us off and my husband had his wallet stolen. Otherwise we had a very memorable stay in Rome
