The hotel was ok. The front desk was curtious and helpful. I arrived an hr and half early and was still able to check in upon arrival. I was placed in a pet room (which I didn't request or need) and the carpets in this room were a bit worn and dirty feeling. The room was in good shape, pretty clean. The bed was on the hard side (Kingsize). The shower was a massage head and all settings worked. The mini fridge and microwave in room were nice touches. The pool/hot tube looked very nice, I didn't use them however. I felt this was about what I should exspect for $115 a night. Not over priced, not overly grand, but a good value. Give it a shot folks!

The staff was friendly hotel clean. The pillows were a little larger than what I use at home. The hotel was attractively decorated. All the areas I was in were very clean. Enjoyed my stay.

Wooden floors very noisy, but rooms clean, beds comfortable. Fridge and microwave in room which was not listed on the property details, but a very welcome bonus. Could do with providing coffe/tea making facilities in the room, and breakfast quite limited. Would have used the pool if it was open from 6am rather than 8am. Staff very friendly and location very convenient for access to shops, downtown and interstate.

We stayed here a few times in the last month, and we signed up for there Welcome Home club. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. Our room was up to date and very, very clean. The Pool and new Wrilpool was also clean, the pool water was crystal clear. We have stay at some other hotels in the area, but this will be are new home. Overall this hotel experience meet our standards and more. Thank to the staff.

The hotel room we stayed in was remodeled four months ago, according to the front desk staff. The room looked nice upon our first impression. The wall was so thin, I could hear the snoring from next room. Since it is semi basement room, the ceiling was fairly low, maybe less than 8 feet. Our room wasnear the entrance above, we could hear floor squeaking when people came in and out through the entrance, which was bad! Ask for any room but ground floor room, your experience should be better than mine.

We have gone to the Anchorage several times. We have always been greeted by a warm friendly staff, and even warm chocolate chip cookies on occasion. The pool area is very relaxing and the continental breakfast is always fresh.

I arrived shortly after the Anchorage Inn's check in time and was told there was no king sized non smoking room available. In fact there were no non smoking rooms of any kind. Needless to say we didn't stay at the Anchorage and expect them not to bill me.

We were very surprised that a hotel in this price raqnge was so clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area attractions and happenings. Our room was very clean and comfortable as was the pool and hot tub area. It is also very easy to find; right off the highway exit. We had a lovely time and will definately stay here again!

We arrived at 12:30 am and could not raise ANYONE to check in. After ringing the door buzzer for ten minutes, I returned to my car and asked my husband to call the hotel. That worked and the hotel employee came and checked us in. The room furnished was clean and the bed very comfortable but the experience of no one around at the desk was creepy.

Reasonable accomodations for the price. Not really within walking distance to downtown. Very much like a Motel 6. The walls were kinda thin, could hear almost everything going on in room next door, but nothing much to really complain about.

The Anchorage Inn and Suites is a fantastic value for what it offers. Pool and Whirlpool are open to 11 PM and it also has a great Fitness Center. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is extremely friendly and the free continental breakfast was a nice surprise. I will definately stay here on my next visit and would highly recommend it.

The staff was friendly and the pool looked nice. The non-smoking room had a smokey odor. The beds had a mattress cover that crunched every time you turn over.

We stayed at the Anchorage on two different nights in two different rooms. Both times we were impressed with the size & comfort of the rooms. The rooms were clean & the staff was courteous & helpful, supplying concise directions to various attractions & discount coupons to a local lobster house. There is an indoor wading pool with whirlpool (wish we brought our suits). The location is minutes from downtown Portsmouth, Pease Tradeport, & I-95. We would definitely stay here again.

Anchorage Inn & Suites-front desk very helpful and gave us great directions to the Olive Garden a few blocks away. The Continental Breakfast was pretty nice in the small cafe area. Nice and very clean rooms, very quiet but, lack of electrical outlets to use a laptop-great wireless connection in room, no in room Coffee Maker, but they did provide a microwave and little refrigerator. The beds were hard and we were very disappointed the the indoor pool was closed for construction. My suggestion bring an extension cord if you need to plug in a lap top or even a cell phone to recharge. We found it convinent for our visit to University of New Hampshire which was only about 15 to 20 minutes away.

The staff quickly responded to every request. Easy access to I 95 and downtown Portsmouth. Very comfortable, clean inside and out.
