The newer Tower side is not as nice as it is advertised. I had previously stayed at the JW Marriott and so I was expecting a hotel of that caliber. This was not the case. For the price I would rather have stayed at the JW Marriott.

This place is great looking but its ridiculous charges to use the pool? who does that, a day to park in their garage. Good luck getting a plate of anything from room service and not spend more than . the place had great bars a restaurants but they are all closed early. wouldnt stay here, there looked like there was a nice marriott down the street

The Amway Grand Plaza was a very nice hotel. We went on a Sunday night which for us was not what we expected. It was very quiet. We were going to go out to eat but out of the 30 resturants and bars only 7 were opened. Otherwise the room the hotel itself was very elegent.

Very Clean!! We were fine with our stay until we learned that you had to pay EXTRA to use the fitness area and pool! I feel like we could have stayed in a nearby hotel that was just as nice, paid much less and not had to pay to use a pool.

We celebrated a birthday and had small children with our group-they were happy-we had teenagers they were happy, and we had 20 somethings-there was much to do in the hotel and surrounding area for all ages. Eating, entertainment, etc. Our room at first had no A/C and the staff immediately (within 15 min) came to check it then put us in another room-a nicer one at that!!

For almost 200 a night for a standard room I imagined there would be wonderfully luxurious amenities. SO WRONG!! If you want a mini refrigerator put in your room, its an extra 15 per night. If you want a coffee pot in your room, its an extra 15 per night. If you want to use the high speed internet access in the hotel, its 10 per day. If you want to use the pool, its 5 per day. If you want to use the fitness center, its 5 per day. When we got to our non-smoking room, there was ash in the bathtub (presumably from housekeeping), and pubic hairs from the previous occupant. There was also gum stuck under the drain in the sink, and on the side of the toilet. When I called the front desk to complain, they told me we could switch rooms, for another 20 fee. The walls are paper-thin, I could hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms around me, not to mention all the traffic outside at all hours of the night. I had to call three different times during my stay to have the ice machine on my floor tended to.My advice? There are two hotels right next to the Amway Grand, connected by the skywalk: Stay in one of those instead!

I stayed at the Amway with my husband and daughter on the 4th of July. I had heard that the views were wonderful from the guest rooms .. and they were right! The fireworks were right outside our hotel window - our daughter was in heaven! Perfect service, perfect room, perfect night.

I attended a conference at the hotel and decided to bring my wife and children along. While I attended the conference, by the way it was the best Banquett food ever my family enjoyed the Healtclub, Pool etc. The variety of eating places was fantastic. On the final night my wife and i treated ourselfes to 1913. truely a 5 star Restaurant. With 3 children we took a suite, very spacious, great value. We will be back
