2 Victorian Townhouses set over 6 floors The Amsterdam Hotel comprises of 27 modern, comfortable rooms and suite apartments all attractively furnished in pastel colors & fabrics many with rose wood flooring. Rooms are equipped with coffee table, chairs, dressing and bedside tables, wardrobe and draw space with large windows and plenty over lighting, in addition the suite apartments comprise of separate bedroom, bathroom, lounge/kitchenette equipped with fridge & microwave, sofa and easy chairs. The hotel is situated on a quiet road and there is also a patio garden to the rear of the property-with some rooms having access directly to the garden. First floor front and rear facing rooms have balconies. Continental breakfast is served in a pretty breakfast room on the lower ground floor & a computer room with free Internet access for guests. The Amsterdam Hotel is situated in popular Earls Court just 2 minutes from the underground station. The main thoroughfare is a mix of nice restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops that stay open till late, the feel of the area is friendly with wide sidewalks and well lit streets-just 10 minutes walk from Kensington Palace, Holland Park and the Victoria Museum. Date of Stay: February, 2009

The room was not a suite but a room with a kitchen area. Also located in the basement next to a hotel with a club so very noisy outside most of the night. At 8am on Sunday morning housekeeping thought it would be good idea to vacum the stairs and hall leading down to the basement, which could have been done later as we had the only room down there! Could just about get in and out of the room as they were storing a double bed and other bits of furniture outside making it hard to get to the stairs. Receptionist very unhalpful on Sunday morning when we complained about the vacuming.

The hotel room was clean and staff sought to be helpful. The hotel was quiet when we were there. The heating was turned up & on all the time, during our visit, as it was a cold spell of weather. We couldn't find a way of turning it down in our room, so found ourselves sweltering overnight. Location wise, the hotel is easy to find from Earls Court tube station. Its about 20 minutes on tube into Leicester Square / Covent Garden area of London. No traditional english cooked breakfast available, but they provide ample amounts of toast / coissants / breakfast cereal / fruit / yoghurt. By London standards, I would say this is pretty good value for money.

We had asked for an executive twin as we were mother & son attending a seminar, we were upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable and lovely to have outside door key. The Hotel had a bijou touch we enjoyed. It is fantastic value for money and much nicer and more personal than the hotel where the seminar was held.We paid only £204 for 2 nights and that is amazing! I have paid so much more for so much worse, the Hotel has a certain shabby chic sure, but the brilliant staff, the homely touches and the wonderful manageress certainly make up for it- a great experience already recommended to seminar manager.

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, they offered to look after my luggage prior to checking-in whilst I attended an exhibition and also looked after it for the day after I had checked out, the room was furnished to a very good standard and catered very well for all my needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting on business or as tourists, it could not be more convienient for Earls Court it is only a couple of minutes walk from the exhibition centre and a even nearer the tube station.

The room was fine and clean. The reception and lift were a bit shabby (so much so we used the stairs) and the stairs a bit wonky. The staff were lovely and helpful. Food at breakfast wasn't great - stale croissants and a limited selection.

I found the room to be clean and modern.The staff were very helpfull and friendly,I would highly reccomend to anybody who wants a comfortable hotel.Was given complimentary newspaper and time out magazine on my arrival,very close to tube and shops.

The hotel is just around the corner from the Tube station. The staff at reception are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Excellent value for money, I'll be staying again

There was a strange smell in the hall eminating from the permanent resident in the room downstairs who had his TV on loud until 3am for the duration of my stay. When I went down for breakfast I was offered Tea and Coffee - given toast and I ordered my full English breakfast. I then sat for 30 minutes until I asked the non english speaking staff where my breakfast was - who promptly offered tea and Coffee again! I exited this groundhog day to complain to the manager who apologised profusely and explained that all her regular staff were off sick and she only had agency staff - who did not know how to cook breakfast! Not good overall.

A very clean, bright and unstuffy hotel right on the edge of bars and eateries. Entirely suited our accomodation needs. Good value. Marks I am giving are based on the standard versus what we paid.

This is a really good place to stay. The room was clean and good quality. We had a suite which was excellent with a mini-kitchen which came in useful for taking food back to your room. The staff were polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is nearest to Earls Court tube station not West Brompton as stated in Laterooms information. When we checked out we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until later in the day. All in all, a very pleasant experience

Quite small rooms and even smaller bathrooms, shower was bit a bit strange as it was part of the bathrooms as there was no door into the shower, it basically rained onto the bathroom floor. Good location to earls court and pubs restaurants.
