Wonderful stay at hotel. Good Staff, excellent rooms and not too bad location. It is just 10 min taxi ride from Placa Catalunya(Barcelona center). You could also find bus no. 7 right in front of hotel. The bullet building could be a land mark near hotel. Will surely stay next time here.

This hotel is very modern with a simple style. A nice change from some of the more standardized business style hotels. The staff was extremely knowledgable and answered all of our questions in English. Good public transportation nearby to anywhere in Barcelona. I loved the location with a lovely walk to the Med. I enjoyed my stay there. This hotel is good value for the money.

the hotel is modern and nice, clean and well connected to the city center. Apart from the receptionist who checked us out ( professional ), the others looked distant and not smiling and welcoming. Anyway I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

Amrey is clean, professional, & modern. Rooms are very nice - bathroom is equipped with hair dryer! Breakast is excellent with variety of food/beverage options. Staff is prof/helpful - front desk speaks English. Amrey is off the beaten path from downtown, making it a quiet retreat from a day of tourism. Metro is close. Taxi costs +/- 6 Euros (one-way). Call ahead for a taxi during off-peak hours. Internet access available. Buy access code at check-in. There are many resturants within walking distance. Don't miss Racasens.

The Hotel was clean and the staff spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful. The rooms were excellent and offered plenty of space. We had no problems with any of the hotel facilities and would highly recommend it. The location being slightly out of the main tourist spots was not a problem as the public transport system was good and with the tram just 2 minutes away very handy. A local shopping square with large shops and bars was just a few minutes stroll away. Walking down to the beach took 20 minutes. Would certainly go back to the hotel again however was very disappointed with Barcelona as a city. It was dirty, smelly and language could be a problem.

Hotel in bellissima posizione su una rampla a 5 minuti dalla metro. Pulitissimo e curato.

ASSOLUTAMENTE CONSIGLIATO!!!

One guest room is small but friendly stuff and good location will compensate it. You don't have to stay in your hotel room while you in Barcelona - go out!

The hotel was great just a little too far from the metro after a long day sightseeing. Other than that I would highly reccomend

We had a 4 night stay in the the Amrey Diagnonal and found this hotel to be above expectations. Situated near the Glories shopping center and within easy reach of transport to and from the city center. The area around the hotel was very pleasant for a walk-about and quiet in the evening away from the busy city center. Many thanks to advice from previous reviewers which we found to be of great assistance.

Honnestly , the general overview of this hotel is good in general , but i saw that the team of this hotel is not very engaged in the welcoming of the customers . the worst moment that we spent in this hotel is on the 1 january at 9:00 am after one night outside for the new year , was to be woke up by the sound of a very loud vacum and as well the screamings of the housemaids . Also if you are french do not expect to be understand ... people are just speaking spanish and some times english . Hopefully we are french fluently speaking spanish and english . For the geographic situation of this hotel , we were very happy to be there because it is very close from the city center . The parking is 15 euros by day not inclued in the price , and the breakfast is as well not inclued.

Exelent location if you do not mind staying 6 blocks from the beach. I will stay there again, close to a major shopping area and 4 blocks from a metro station. Rooms were clean and all services at the hotel very nice. La Sagrada Familia is about 15 minutes walking. The hotel is 2 blocks from the Agbar tower. Next to the subway (metro) station there is a very big flea market. Only advice: Do not ask the hotel to call you a taxi cab, the driver will overcharge you, it seems that the driver will give a commision to the hotel employees.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. Staff could not speak English very well and could well be advised to offer a smile or two to make guests feel welcome, instead of talking among themselves while guests wait at the desk. They were not very forthcoming with information, could not tell me where I could cash travellers cheques, apart from not at the hotel. Ended up in city bank. Room on the 9th floor with pleasant view of Ave Diagonal. Room was just as shown on website, large and extremely clean and modern. Two kingsize singles together - comfortable but pillows very firm. Heated towel rail for drying items (great in winter and wet weather). 15 minute stroll down pedestrian promenade to beach. Raining early in day so took a cab to the city for bus tour of all sights. Never used public transport. Breakfast was ample with good range for various tastes but a bit rich at 15 Euro each. Breakfast staff were excellent. Required to pay for stay on arrival. I had to alter my stay from 3 to 2 days and as I had to cancel with Venere and rebook, the rate had increased by 10 Euro per night for same dates! I would not return.
