Although the location was perfect for where we needed to go, the hotel was really only a place to sleep, and it didn't even feel very clean. I refused to sleep on the sheets - I slept on the coverlet.

The room was nothing too special, but it was clean, had everything we needed, helpful staff, pleasant stay. I have nothing bad to say about the hotel.

Good price, reasonably clean, would recommend the inn to any budget travelers not picky about the facilities and location. b

Range of other reviews suggests there are significant differences in rooms. The area is pretty run down and room here matched. Relatively clean but ragged, spotted carpet. Everything in bathroom worked but clearly had seen several decades of hard use. Frig and microwave in the room a nice touch. AC seems relatively new and worked but rather under-sized for the space. When I arrived the door to the room was not locked (a little scary). Didn't use the pool or see anyone else use it, but it appeared clean from a distance. They claim a continental breakfast and there is a space for it in lobby...but I never found anything there. Don't seem to be any nearby places to eat. Traveling alone it served my needs for the price but I wouldn't have stayed there with my wife and will look for alternate accomodation for next visit.

This is the worst hotel i ever stayed at.The door's weather stripping that keeps out the bugs, hot air wasn't even there. The air conditioner didn't work any at all.So i say dont ever stay here.

The stairs were dirty, the pool was too dirty to use. The place looked old and run down. It was too much money for the accommodations.

Close to our final location. Well priced. No omplaints. Could have a little more varity on breakfast. It was a good stay Quite and within range of all we needed to do. Could have had a better breakfast offering.

I just needed a place near ASU campus to sleep at night while i helped get my son moved onto campus so I didn't really care about quality. Could not beat the price (even at some nearby lower quality motels) plus had a pool, wireless internet, and cable with multiple HBO channels as an added bonus

uncomfortable bed, small tv hard to hear, had to turn sound all the way up to max. cleaned room once in four days. room door sticks hard to open from outside. key car had to be used two or three times to get it to work. The hotel is about the same class as a motel 3

America's Best Value Inn Tempe is in a convenient location to the ASU Campus. The staff was friendly. The vanity area could be a little bigger, but overall we had a great experience and will stay there every visit to ASU.

Location and cost. Nothing. The hotel was clean and had a good look to it. My one maintenance problem was taken care of immediately. The desk clerks were pleasant and informative. The cleaning lady was good at her job.

I wanted a hotel close to the Theatre I was attending. First we got there late checked in with a not very friendly pizza eating TV watching don't bother me type attitude clerk, than the first room he gave us was next to a group of questionable people hanging around outside doing what I don't know and I don't care. Went back asked for a different room, against his will he gave us one but what a mistake, the room was old and permanently dirty, carpet stained, bathroom had holes in the baseboards, smelled, and bugs in and around the sink area. Not my idea of quality. Best Value I don't think so. My suggestion, don't bother with this one convenience is not worth it.

Location was near my destination. Paid too much for the quality received. Definitely an economy accommodation yet not an economic rate.

I heard a lot about ASU for the New Year celebration so me and my friends decided to visit AZ this year. This hotel is an A1 DUMP. upon check-in, no one in the lobby for 10 mins, then we couldnt get the door open because the lever was jammed so then we were assigned a different room. so now we are expecting to go in, relax and get ready to go site seeing. The shower was ok, then we got ready and came back late. so we call lobby and ask for a refund so we can go somewhere our vacation is worth a while, in response they said we cannot get a refund since it was an internet booking through a travel agent. This was getting very frustrating now but i guess we had no choice so then we asked if someone can remake our beds since we dont think they were made up before our arrival. Now they are telling that he is the only night shift and and his job is to take care of the front and thats it. Then we asked for a couple of clean blankets (and yes they actually had them in stock, hard to believe) and had a great sleep on the floor. Then we go in for breakfast next morning and it contained of some lousy self wrapped danish, milk, OJ and coffee...And we paid a 100 bucks a night for all of this, next day we just left w/o any refund & found a diff place.

This was your typical run-of-the-mill hotel. One complaint I had was that if you wanted a mini-fridge or microwave in your room, you had to pay EXTRA, then the maintenance man would bring one up. Makes no sense. And since I checked in after 5pm, he was gone for the night and I couldn't get a fridge.

Nothing. Everything. The towel rack was not attached to the wall properly and fell down. There was only 1 washcloth in the room, although there were two of us staying there. The carpet was ancient, and just looked dirty. I hated to touch the sheets, just to sleep. College age boys had an all night loud party going on just down from us, and at 1:30 I finally turned on the AC just to drown out noise. I didn't want to touch anything. It was disgusting. The guy who checked us in tried to charge us already and a different rate, because he didn't know what he was doing. I was so glad to get out of there. It was a skuzzy part of town, it was just gross.

This hotel, was very simple, clean and no troubles. The bed was huge, the showers wer enice and the room was always clean. I would definitely go back there any time.

Good Location. The AC Unit was VERY LOUD; the room STUNK of smoke even though it was a no smoking room. There are better places to stay. The room I stayed in was a no smoking room, but the smell of smoke was in everything in the room. When I went to the office to see what could be done the desk manager said that they put up no smoking signs but they cannot do anything to keep people from smoking in the rooms. He said he could not change my room. He did not offer to launder the blankets/pillow on the bed or do anything to change the situation. So I went and purchase a pillow that did not smell like smoke, so I could sleep through the night. The AC unit was another story. I am a deep sleeper, one time in college my room mate threw a wild party and I slept through the entire night. But the AC unit in this hotel room was more than even I could sleep through, it sounded like a C-130 taking off! The fan would run for some time, and then the AC pump would kick in and shake the entire wall of the room. I would suggest you stay somewhere else.

This place is definitely not a five star hotel, but at the same time it is clean, well maintained, and excellent value for the money. It is not the dump that some of the other reviewers would have you believe, and I would definitely stay there again. If your destination is just your hotel, then maybe this is not the place for you, but when I travel, I am generally looking only for a place to sleep. I do other things than stay at my hotel. Again, it is excellent value for the price.
