Staff was nice. Room was clean. Credit card was charged after checkout. Staff was not available for early morning checkout.

Nothing. This is a horrible and time waste hotel. Please don't go to this hotel.

The room was ok. Nothing special but it was clean. No pad on the mattress. The advertised Continental breakfast consisted on cereal, milk, weak coffee and some tiny sweet rolls pre-packaged. Everyone staying there went across the street to the ice cream place with great coffee and actual food.

This is a very nice little hotel. It is an old hotel with very original appointments, updated with some modern conveniences. It turned out much better than my first impression. The balcony overlooking the street was marvelous, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was an afterthought, and it showed in its construction and size. Nonetheless, the room was very attractive if you like old-fashioned and antiques. Jamestown is gold country after all. My wife was quite smitten with the old-world charm. That alone means something to me. It was a very fun and unique experience. I would recommend it to a romantic couple that doesn't have visions of Las Vegas glitz. And the manager was charming. What a nut.

We went to a show in the area, the hotel was fun with it's above the street porch and would go there again.

Loved the outside deck with two person swing. Very romantic. I really loved staying at this hotel. It was like a bed and breakfast, while not like other hotels it was a wonderful place to visit as it had a very antique homey feel to it. The manager was a sweetheart and was very helpful in every way. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends as just a quaint little homey type place to stay.

Name didn't match address; and not ""Best Value"" It is the Carriage Inn

good location for access to james town. but I would recommend going to sonora instead. the wife made us check out a day early due to the small room and poor sleeping arrangements and no water pressure in shower. she said it took her 20 minutes to just get the soap out of her hair and the whole experience made her want to go home early. bed was not good for sleep and room hot with no AC control. polite staff. poor continental breakfast. no fruit or cereal or milk just danish and bad coffee. horrible parking

Quaint and friendly staff. Unkempt and overgrown garden/outside area. Awful coffee. This hotel has potential but hasn't quite reached it. If the outdoor courtyard were maintained it would allow the hotel and guest to enjoy the outdoors. Also the coffee served at the breakfast was awful and decent coffee is a must.

Because I only needed a place to lay my head at night I looked for the least expensive room I could find close to Kistler Ranch. The Royal Carrige Inn is on Main Street in the center of Jamestown. You can walk to everything in Jamestowen and you are only 3 miles to Sonora. It is truly an old, old bulding and has old, old cottages. I arrived late at night and my key was taped to the office door with a note on where to go and where to park. The staff, called to check on my arrival and make sure I was ok with the upgrade they gave me. I had booked a room and she gave me a cottage. Everything is neat and tidy, quaint and cheerful but tattered and worn. It looks romantic in the evening and shabby in the daylight. My cottage was 3 rooms, a big living room, a big bedroom and a full bath, was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. They aren't big on dusting but the towels are nice and the bed appeared to be changed twice a week with daily cleaning. The Inn is right on Main Street in the center of all the antiques shops, 2 doors from a convenience store and many restaurants and a couple of gas stations. If you have an extended cab pickup or a suburban you will have to park on the street, the parking lot does not accomodate large vehicles. For the money, you can't beat it.Some cottages connect so you can have larger groups, there are patios and gardens in front of some that would be very nice for children.

We stayed here while spending the weekend in Yosemite. It was a bit far from the park, but still manageable. The room itself was small, but entirely reasonable. The staff was *very* friendly and cordial. For the price, this was a decent destination. I might stay here again if I am under budget constraints.

The staff, the location, the hot water. The wallpaper was kind of peeling, only 1 bath towel.

Hotel was way to expensive for the service. Bathroom was not attached in the room but was away in the corridor. Rooms were small and the washbasin taps in the room were not functional. AC controller was not present and the hotel looked more like an old countryside home. It did gave you that haunted feeling though, so if you wish to stay in a haunted hotel choose this one. But the Staff was very courteous and helpful

The location was great and the desk lady very helpful and nice. The bathroom was a little bit small and the fixtures kind of old. Okay, though.

The overall is good moneywise. The lady at the front desk is nice. She is more like grandmom to me. When we checked out, she asked me about how's my sleep and explain a little bit the history of the town to me. But, the hotel is more like guest house, not a hotel. All you can expect is you take a hot shower and have a clean bed to rest. You don't have a large room space and a big flat LCD TV. But, if you just need a clean room to sleep and save some money, this is a good place to stay although it's a little bit far to Yosemite valley. It's about 1hr40 minutes trip to there.

Nothing. There were crickets in the bathroom. The carpets were filthy. It was a holiday weekend and we were stuck with no other place to go or we would have left the hotel. The rooms were just awfull. The carpets were filthy. The paint on the walls were flaking.

Arriving at the hotel with family from overseas I learned that I had mistakingly booked rooms for the wrong night. The Innkeeper was very helpful and welcoming and worked with Orbitz to get the situation straightened out. Our party enjoyed the lovely garden in the back where we sat and drank wine before a delicious dinner at the National Hotel just down the street. Breakfast choices were meager but that would not keep me from returning to this charming spot.

Lobby was cute. Place was a dump - didn't feel safe parking car over night - had weird vibes. Would never go back or recommend it.

Very tiny small room. Noisey neighborhood... It doesn't worth the money.

Comfortable and clean. Small room. Nice hotel, friendly staff, a little small but overall pretty nice.
