I like the comfort of the bed and the convince of the golden gate bridge. Idid not like how there was a limited amount of parking spaces when there are so many rooms. They need to make more parking because there was like 30 rooms, but like 10 spaces and they only have one cleaning lady cleaning all the rooms so it makes me wonder how clean the rooms are.

Located close enough without being in the middle of SF. Excellent staff, really helpful and courteous. Parking tight, get there early to guarantee a space. Room clean and spacious

Breakfast is terrible: only 1 muffin for one person! When you want tea then you receive only hot water!

This hotel is very old but it was clean, the front office was helpful in obtaining information to get to Fisherman's Wharf, the rooms were small and the parking is bad there are twice the rooms compared to parking spaces.

Good value for the price. Lacked paint in some walkways, parking.

Well, the saying 'you get what you pay for' holds true to this room. The staff was indifferent to us staying there, which was sad being that it was a family operation. There was no security at all. All of the rooms and automobiles are easily reached by the street. The location was great, very close to the harbor. The rooms are very plain with no view, not a single window facing out of the hotel. It appeared that all of the rooms had windows that faced in to the center of the building, which was as nice as a prison workout yard. The great thing about the place was that it was not where one would want to spend any non sleep time, which pushed my friend and I out into the City that much quicker each day, and kept us out that much later at night.

Staff with good attitudes and very helpful. Only muffins and coffee for breakfast. If you stay, remember to get the TV remote from the staff at the desk, we did not know that our first night. Close to public transportation and restaurants, and seemed to be in a safe area. You could hear everything going on outside. The sheets appeared clean and fresh, but we found a few spots of blood on one of the top sheets. The bedspreads looked grungy. The carpet looked new, but had a few significant stains on them. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice.

The rooms were ok they were small but clean. The parking is limted to first come first serve. So they dont have enough parking for all the guest. There is parking around the corner free from 9pm to 9am The staff was ok not real friendly. There is alot of places to eat in that area. so thats a plus.all within walking distance.

Great Location.................convenient to get the bus to downtown or Fisherman's Wharf........ Only drawback is the limited parking..............first come, first serve

For the price the room wasreally good. It had a refrigerator that always comes in handy. We go there a little early but they still let us check in. It is close to a movie theater to we walked over to watch a movie the first night. The only problem is parking is limited we went to get dinner I thought we wouild loose our parking because all the others were full but lucky when we got back a number of people had left so we decided to walk were we had to go after that. They were painting and doing tome construction you could hear banging at 8am so if you plan on sleeping and are a light sleeper then I would check to make sure they are done before you reserve. I would stay here again

The place is not worth for the money, couple more dollars i could stay in much better place,it is a dump....the place is dirty, the room are not really keep up,not clean have a very musty smell, door lock are broken,no remote control for the t.v. I would not recommend this place to any body.

This place turned out to be a good place to stay for the low cost. They are currently working on the outside and remodeling some of the rooms. The room was clean and the staff were moderately nice (nothing over the top). It is one block from a strip of shopping and dining in the Marina area. It was also located close to public transportation. It is close enough to walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

It was clean, parking was free (first come first serve)and the location was pretty good.

Good price for SF, and limited parking is free (which is rare). Lots of shops behind on Chestnut St. Not in the middle of the city, but still close enough to everything via public transportation. Stay here if you just want a place to crash and cost is your biggest concern. Try not to stay next to the elevator though... that door slams LOUD all night.

"The people running the front desk were disrespectful & rude. They could not find my reservation which was made a month in advance. They didnot have a room for me or my parents, they lied about that & the parking situtation, then denied it."
Date of Stay:
February, 2007
"Overall, the stay was fine since most of it was spent away from the hotel. The hotel is in various stages of remodeling. The room was fine. Their advertisement mentions free WiFi and continental breakfast. There was no sign of breakfast, just coffee in the lobby, which was disappointing as we were counting on it to reduce food costs."
