That it was cheap. The towels and shower were unclean. Heat did not work. The towels and bathroom were unclean and the heat in the room did not work. It took us a long time to check in and the man was watching inappropriate shows on the television.

I should have known we would have gotten something bad for the rate we paid. I came into town for a week to spend with my boyfriend and the first thing we noticed was this mildew odor that came from the room and we soon discovered the show drain was clogged. We repeatedly told the front desk there was a problem and finally fixed it two days before we were leaving. But with one problem after another, the drain was fixed, but now the on the other side of the wall of the shower next to the bed, the carpet was SOAKED. The maid service was horrible, he came in and completely cleaned out everything that was on the coffee table in our room, so we lost our food and some papers that we were planning on using. There were only three plug outlets in the whole room, well really one because one wasnt working so my boyfriend had to bring a powerstrip from home if we wanted to warm up something in the microwave and watch TV at the same time. And yeah, its conviently located by the highway, but its right NEXT to the highway so you can hear cars driving by at night if you're a light sleeper, so no sleep for you. I won't be back here anytime soon!

To be completely honest, there was not one thing I liked about that motel. Large hole in the drywall. Bathroom door trim was dog scratched and chewed. This motel is in a very bad neighborhood. There was a large hole in the drywall. Someone has had a dog locked in the bathroom and it has chewed and scratched all the paint off the doorframe. Even with a do not disturb sign on the door; we were woken up every morning at 8 o'clock by housekeeping (who didn’t speak English). There were light bulbs missing in two of the four lamps. The phone was missing most of the buttons. The TV remote was missing the batteries and the battery cover. One of the staff was extremely rude to me when I asked him for more towels.

Booked this room off one of the travel sites and things were fine then when I called one day prior to my stay to confirm with the hotel that should of been the red flag.The person wouldn"t give their name then they said there was no manager and so on . When we did arrive we find out that was the owner who I spoke to. It was 90 plus degrees and the air conditioner didn't work , the next day we were prommised they would fix it while we were out , no luck there they switched rooms for us. it was dirtier than the fiirst stinky and smokey then for the topper we get back the next night and we can't get in our room the night clerk says we owe them money we said we were told to pay upon checkout he says no pay no room. Totally rude staff rude owner and what a dump

It was disgusting.We went and bought our own sheets and pillows and towels. I wouldn't let my dog stay there. If wasn't a race weekend I would have went to another hotel.

Free cable and HBO. Broken remote; not enough plugs to simultaneously work TV fridge and other. This accommodation was appropriate for the price.

I have NEVER had such a horrendous hotel experience as I had for the whole 10 minutes that I was at this hotel. Check-in was fine, but as soon as I walked into the room and saw the dilapidated condition that it was in, I started to have my doubts. All those were confirmed when my 11 year old daughter laid down on one of the beds and told me it smelled like urine. I checked for myself, and the bedspread did indeed smell like urine. There was no way that it had been washed, which is absolutely disgusting. We immediately returned the room key and proceeded to find a new hotel. This month I see that this hotel had the audacity to charge my credit card for 2 nights stay, even though I returned my room key within 10 minutes, which according to hotel policy and the sign on the front desk, deserves a full refund. They refuse to give me a refund. I see that the other reviews for this hotel seem to be decent, so I certainly hope that this was a one time incident. But I can guarantee you I will NEVER stay at this hotel, and I highly recommend you stay elsewhere.

Dirty and not inviting. This hotel was not inviting it was dirty, the room had an odd smell to it. WhenI opened the door which wasn't easy to doI had to grope around in the dark to find a light that worked.

Because of car troubles, I arrived a day late. The manager quickly arranged acommodations for me.

Staff was very congenial. Seemed to have a section where people lived full time. For a male traveling alone who has a black belt in Karate and is savvy about safety precautions, it's an ok place as long as you get a non-smoking room. I inadvertently got a smoking economy room and it was the pits. My mistake, but spent another night in a much nicer room and was treated well by the staff. I heard gun shots at night maybe 100 to 150 yards away. Clean up staff came rather early and opened the door.

This hotel is located right off of interstate 95 and is only about 12 miles from the Richmond International Raceway. Great price for race weekend.

My wife and i walked into the room, which smelled like cigarette smoke. We just checked in, the bed smelled like smoke and their were dead roaches in the bathroom. Needless to say, instead of staying at the ROACH MOTEL we opted to drive 80 miles home. My wife and i travel alot, we both will never use your service again. It was utterly appaling. I'm embarrased for not only the MOTEL establishment,but especially for you recommending such a place.

It was cheap with a microwave and fridge. The hotel is run down and next to a cabaret. If you are looking for a talkative staff that is really friendly, this is the place for you. As long as you are willing to ignore the fact, the bathrooms are so small you barely fit in there, the full length mirror was duct taped to the bathroom door, the A/C did not work and you are next door to a restaurant noted for their Steaks and Cabaret.

"The room was ok, appeared clean, but the bathroom seemed dirty and not cleaned very often. We had to switch rooms b/c the shower in the first room did not have a knob and the drain didn't work. There's not much around this hotel unless you drive out a little ways. It was fine enough for what we needed"

The American Best Value Inn was clean and very comfortable. Upon arrival, the Hotel sign in was pleasent. The Manager was very nice and helped with all the questions asked. I will return this hotel for future stays and recommend it to anyone. There's a club or grill right there for some relaxing and unwinding from a long ride. It was a short ride to Richmond racetrack, which was exactly where I wanted to be when I arrived for the race.

Staff is very accommodating. Nothing. If your a single business traveler and want to stay for a cheap price, this is it! Right off i95 and the staff is excellent.
