the front desk staff was very friendly and efficient the location for my business was great just 15 minutes away having a resturaunt just across the parking lot along with a walmart was also a great plus

The hotel was attractive and representative of a 1950's style in architecture and decor. The buttons on the remote control were difficult to negotiate. My husband and I arrived at America's Best Value Inn Lodge on the Green in Painted Post shortly after 6pm and were greeted by two friendly youths behind the front desk. They checked us in and, when asked about local vegetarian restaurants, provided a small map and some general local recommendations. Throughout our stay, coffee was available in the lobby. The room (and building as a whole) was exceptionally tidy and of a pleasant 1950's style aesthetic.

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The room was kept very clean. Even though the hotel is on a major roadway, it has a quiet, country air about it. The front desk staff was more than friendly and helpful. We were treated as if we were part of their family. I've already recommended this hotel to friends planning trips to Corning. We'd definately stay again.

Arrognat staff and unclean rooms. You may have to struggle a lot to open the door of your room too. This is the worst hotel I had stayed in, in my life. Even to open the door of the room I had to go to the front desk 4 times because the keys the front desk person gave were not working. I had taken 2 rooms since we were 4 people and next day evening when we came back late, the other room was locked from inside and all of us had to manage to stay in one room. I really wasted my time and money on this hotel. I will suggest never to choose this hotel to stay even for a night.

Hotel is dated, room was clean but had peeling paint and rusted plumbing. Large campus type setting. Previous guest had smoked in non-smoking room. Hard to find due to large amount of road construction. Lot of constructuion worker staying at hotel, and lots of back up alarms on there trucks at 6:00am, even on Sunday.

It was the cheapest room we could find. Peeling paint, no air conditioner, broken molding and overall unkempt appearance. This was one of the worst looking hotels my family and I have ever stayed in. But we were only looking to sleep and shower there so we didn't even notice the peeling paint or dirty shower until the next morning. We were only in that area for one night. We did not get to use the pool, we didn't even bother to try their breakfast. It consisted of boxed cereal, toast and boiled eggs from a 3 gallon jar.

With the conditions in many low price hotels today, it was a pleasant surprise to find it clean, neat, and quiet. Bathrooms remodeled and spotless. Would definitely stay here again."

Clean, good staff, quiet, comfortable. Breakfast only offered to 9:30 on weekends. It was a pleasant experience. Nice people at front desk, nice girl for housekeeping. Very quiet and room was very clean and spacious.

This is a really comfortable and casual motel. Very relaxing to stay at. The beds are really comfortable, the staff helpful and there's a nice continental breakfast with good variety.

Very quiet, room was clean but mildew smelling. Construction access, room smelled like mildew. Okay for the couple of nights we were there. The room was quite spacious and clean, but due to the age of the hotel smelled like mildew.

The room was large and quiet. Outside entry is not my favorite. I really like this hotel for the price. I have stayed here twice and will stay again.

It was clean and comfortable but if was only a 2 star. There was too much construction going, no signage the hotel was very difficult to identify/find. There was just too much construction. There was no sign to identify the hotel. We passed it more than once in trying to find its location! The room was clean and that cheap motel smell was not there. The free continental breakfast was fine also. It was worth the money.

"This hotel is in need of some rehab - they had painted the bathroom wall tiles & it was peeling in the shower! Plus the room had a musty odor. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable."

The price was right. Exterior door badly needed weather stripping. Exterior lights so bright we had to close the bathroom door. The best western lodge on the green just to the west of corning new York is an updated older motel. It was clean and comfortable and easy to reach from the interstate even though there was extensive construction. The desk staff was courteous but need to have more training in giving directions and perhaps better maps of the area - we got badly lost and did make it back to the motel, asked for more directions and finally got where we were going. The price was right.

The receptionist Marcy was exceptionally helpful, cheerful and courteous. Since breakfast was understandably simple, the quality of coffee should have been better. The bathroom had a cockroach. The hotel was good for the price we paid. The hotel could do the following improvements: Improve the breakfast by having better quality coffee and real cream (1/2 and 1/2) in the breakfast nook as well as the room and make sure the rooms are bug-free.

Around midnight, a woman from a nearby room, screamed for help. It was unnerving/ruined our stay. Even though the clerk was extremely helpful to us and changed our room after the incident of the woman screaming, she acted like it was a common occurrence and was a domestic problem. I would not stay there again or recommend it.

It's location was convenient for travel purposes, but not in a good area. Many construction and landscapers LIVE there full time, BBQs and trucks every where, didn't feel safe either. The room itself was fine, but a female or couple would never consider using the pool or walking around the grounds at night. I even thought I smelled pot coming out of the room next door. The workers are on a large construction project nearby and get up by 6 AM and are all at the complimentary breakfast with their road work vests on, etc. You feel like you are in a union meeting, not a hotel. Compared to other hotels in that area that we could have been given, I was very disappointed.

Rooms were large. No broadband access in room. The hotel rooms were very large. I like the feel of an 'old time' motel (in a good sense). The rooms were a bit damp and musty smelling, but running the air conditioning helped. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The one negative is there is not a broadband connection available in the room (neither wireless or direct). Though, there is a wired connection available in the lobby.

There is NOTHING to like about this hotel. Smell of chemical cleaners was over powering in two separate rooms, Old buildings with rotten wood visible. We did not spend the night in this hotel as the smell was making us sick. The windows could not be opened because of missing cranks or painted shut. One of the worst hotels that I've even been in. Best Western should remove its name from this facility. What was going to be a nice overnight getaway for my wife and I turned out to be a very unpleasant experience.
