left hotel, very dirty and smelly

In a nice location. Beds were uncomfortable. With this hotel you are paying for it's proximity to Yosemite National Park. The beds in our room were extremely uncomfortable making waking up early and heading to Yosemite even more desirous. The room was clean.

Excellent accomodation and facilities. The heated indoor pool was most appreciated. Loved the setting.

This place is a dive. Poorly located. While i t is not dirty to the point of disgusting, clearly nobody cares what it looks like. The bed was hard, pillows small. The staff bordered on rude. Seems like an attitude of "Give me your money and don't bother me". Mom & Pop operation.

Overall, the Best Value Inn was adequate for an overnight stopover. We stayed at this location to break up travel on a day trip to the snow. The breakfast buffet was a real convenience and added to the value of the hotel price, though the food was almost all carbs(cereal, toast, waffles). The room was okay, though there were a few shortcomings, such as a visible iron burn in the carpet and a leaking faucet in the bathtub. Staff was helpful in providing additional pillows on request. Despite being near the highway and facing the parking area, the room was quiet.

Friendly staff, safe for single travelers. Only cold cereal, juice, and toast for breakfast; fresh fruit & microwavable cereal would have been appreciated.

Good location for us to get to the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. Good selection for breakfast

Pool was green, room was small, walls are very thin, wallpaper pealing, mattresses need cleaning, understaffed, and the mud bird houses were everywhere!

a very comfortable hotel. staff friendly and helpful.

Great price and location. The coffee was cold. This is a great place to stay on your way to Yosemite.

It has been my experience that with most hotel rooms below the ""suite"" level, they are all pretty much the same. This hotel room had a sofa bed, chairs, tables, TV, Free Wifi, it was huge - and thats all you can ask. The staff night and day was excellent as well!

We have stayed at America's Best in or near Hayward, CA. more than three times. This is the first time in Oakhurst. We wanted to use the Jaquzi Sat. night and it wasn't even luke warm... We told the person at the desk, but there was nothing that she could do because the day maintenance man had the keys to change the temp. of the water. She kindly appaulogized and gave us a 15% discount card on a stay for Best Value Inn.

Close distance to Yellowstone. Everything except distance to Yosemite. The receptionist on the evening was very friendly. That's it. Remains of previous breakfast lying on the floor. Empty coffee, sticky, greasy pastry. Terrible, not recommended by me.

Big disappointment for the money. Maintenance low - dirty, pealing paint, air conditioner had one speed - despite saying otherwise - only one vent working, bedspread with large stain. Had better experience in other local hotel.

The check in desk assigned us to our room before the the room was completely cleaned. For the high room rate paid a microwave and refrigerator were not available. This was complicated in that the closest icemaker was out of order. Several of the items for the continental breakfast were gone when we arrived at the dinning area at 8:00 AM. Complaining to the desk I was informed that she was busy. After nine minutes she came and restocked the food items.

The hotel has a great spa & pool. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. If your room is on the first level there is a lot of noise from people upstairs. I brought ear plugs so it worked out fine. Great place for a short stay. Very friendly staff & the room was very clean. The coffee pot was perfect for 2. Everything we asked for housekeeping was more than happy to provide. We will stay at that motel chain again.

we happened across this lodge, and got a good price for a walk-in.Rooms are clean and well sized, you cant go wrong for clean affordable accomodation close to Yosemite.

Room was somewhat dirty and the beds were uncomfortable. Nice proximity to Yosemite but for $150 a night I expected much more.

The hotel has beautiful surroundings. The hotel room was vacumed, but not around the edges and the edges were disgustingly dirty. This hotel can be improved by having a better continental breakfast and be cleaner in appearance. Some updating would definitely help.
Date of Stay:

If you can get past the fact that this is an older facility, it is just fine for a place to rest your head for a visit to Yosemite, assuming you do not want to spend a lot of time at the hotel. The room was more than large enough for 2 people. The drive to Yosemite is an easy one. The complimentary breakfast offered more than just pastries and coffee.
