helpful staff, great pool and the best breakfast, across the street from a large shopping center, down the street from a 24 hour burrito shop and only a short drive to the famous plaza, all this and clean rooms too.

We loved the outstanding continental breakfasts. The Lamplighter in Santa Fe was an impressive and comfortable hotel, with beautiful gardens, great pool, large rec room and delicious breakfast. All three of us commented about the caring, considerate details offered by the owners and the safe-feeling rooms with rose gardens outside.

An indoor pool with gorgeous tropical plants, a health conscious breakfast worth waking up for (oatmeal, granola, soy AND rice milk out, almond butter, cereal, a LARGE selection of good tea), and a super convenient location helped make this hotel a highlight of our trip. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Is it fancy? No, it's not. But it's comfortable, pleasing to the eye, pleasing to the body, and the wallet. The staff were helpful, and I felt welcome and taken care of.

We only stayed for one night, but the experience was great. The bathrooms are flawless and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The building looks a little bit old, but don?t get discouraged, the rooms are state-of-the-art and smell great. And I liked the fact they are conscientious about the environment too! The continental breakfast was complete, healthy, and delicious. Also, we forgot something in the room, and when we came back for it, it was tagged and in great shape. It looks these guys have a very well though out system running this hotel. Definitely recommended to stay for as long as you need.

I enjoyed a rest between business trips. The location is ideal for Santa Fe and surrounding area. The pool is clean and hot tub relaxing. The grounds are well cared for and they make the most of their space with several types of flowers. It is a great deal for the price. I will come back again.

The room had more room then I thought there would be and all had a good time. Swimming pool could have been warmer. If we ever need a hotel in Santa Fe, NM again we will stay there.

Based on the rate which I was presented $* and the reviews, I thought this would be a nice place to stay in Santa Fe. When I arrived, I found out this was a motel - not an Inn or a hotel. There was no parking near my room and there were many people outside their rooms talking loudly and smoking. The room itself was neat and clean but as I stood in the room I felt uncomfortable and unsafe so I called another hotel from the room and left. And, their wireless internet was down.

Older building that has been updated. Very nice place. Front desk was very helpful. Easy access to Plaza and area restaurants. Nice pool. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel is easy to pass by. And, I probably wouldn't have chosen to book online without the positive reviews (thank you travelers!). We stayed on second floor in the back overlooking a lovely little courtyard with flowers and beautiful tree. Great continental breakfast in a spacious breakfast room which was probably the healthiest one we've ever enjoyed! The room was also spacious though the bathroom was small. Nice to have the sink and vanity separate for two getting ready in the morning! This hotel was a great value for the price in the expensive Santa Fe area. Close to the plaza by car, so we thought it was a great location, as well. Would definitely stay again.

We especially enjoyed the garden and pool area. Hard beds.

After reading the favorable reviews, I booked this hotel for three nights. It is old and "tired". The beds were uncomfortable, and the lighting was dim. The bathroom was old. The room did appear to have new carpeting and was clean. We checked out after the first night and stayed at another hotel closer to the Plaza for the other two nights. The breakfast was good with some healthy options. The staff was friendly, and the pool area looked nice. We would not stay there again.

I've been to Santa Fe several times and this is the best value I've had so far. The pool is enclosed, but is very well done and the roof opens so you can see the sky. We had two rooms because of the number of people we had with us and everyone was happy with their room. The breakfast was ok, not spectacular, but they had some healthy stuff, not just carbs. The laundry room was reasonably priced too. The kitchen suite was a good size and had just about everything you'd need. The hotel site doesn't list it, but the kitchen suite has a fold out couch, in addition to the 2 beds. I'll definitely go back.

Did not stay because rooms were old, small, and all were outside entry. Pool @ hot tub were not what we thought from the photos.

Nice continental breakfast. Rooms were a little dark. Beds weren't that comfortable and not the nicest surroundings or outward appearance, but other than that it was awesome.

American's Best Value Inn, the Lamplighter Inn makes for a very comfortable and affordable stay. The delicious breakfast is a nice incentive to wake up in the morning to, as are the great mountain views from the main street up to the hotel. My family and friends enjoyed the ping-pong table and pool after our long days. The location is on the main road that can easily connect you to anywhere you need to go in town. Overall, it's a great place to stay!

Hotel was fine. No human service for hotel. The hotel was fine.

The rooms were clean and airconditioned. The front desk clerks were friendly. There is a lovely little courtyard area to sit outside and relax. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of walking through the art district.

This is a nice budget hotel, but definitely nothing fancy. The location isn't as scary as some on Cerritos and seems a little more secure. And while it's a drive to the Plaza area, it's also not as far as some. There are lots of chain restaurants pretty close by. Our highlight was the comfy beds and the pool which was in very good condition and which we had all to ourselves.

The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were very nicely landscaped. The pool and hot tub were not as clean as I would have liked. The computer for Internet access in the room was broken for the 4 days we were there. Comfortable and clean room, though bed needed more pillows. The pool and hot tub needed to be cleaner. Nicely landscaped grounds. Food itself OK but pretty bland.
