Good location, only 10 mins to Hersheypark, on a less traveled road. Not much traffic in or out of town, restaurants and ice cream stops very close to motel.

The one staff member I met was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was supposed to have a continental breakfast, and they did not have it.

We killed 12 large flying bugs that appeared shortly after we turned on the heat. The new owners stated that the first 2 weeks in Oct. these bugs come out of the trees and infest the rooms. She stated they had the exterminators out, but nothing was helping, so it wouldn't do any good to give us a different room. The place is OLD and bathroom in need of serious repair. The bedspread and carpeting were dark, so you couldn't tell if they were clean. We'll never stay there again!! We were there Oct 3, 2008

after the employee confessed under police questioning, the owner wouldn't even take a few nights off my bill for my inconvenience

Good, not expensive hotel located not too far from Hershey Park.

For the area, the price was cheap. Network and location of electrical outlets was terrible. The room was cheap for the area and the hotel reflected that. Free wifi was advertised but the network was totally unreliable. The room was reasonably clean but there was no noise insulation between rooms, anything that went on in an adjoining room could be heard. The location of electrical outlets was absurd. The refrigerator, microwave, and AC could not all be used at the same time. I would not stay at this hotel again.

The website for this motel is still in the old motel?s name: Villagemotelhershey.com. It is very misleading that only on the check out page is the name ?Americas Best Value? listed. My guest then went into the bathroom and discovered a graveyard of "teenage" cockroaches under the heating element. Then he offered me, or anyone I know, the motel?s manager position, because he could not manage both places with all these issues. I am not sure that even as a joke you would invite your paying customer to become your employee unless you were that crazed at your current situation. At this point I was annoyed and did not want to go back into the office until check out on Sunday. I went back to the room and made my own bed. I guess the motel staff or managers were both too pressed at 10:30 at night to do this for the customer. After making my bed, I had an uncomfortable nights sleep. The mattresses and pillows had not been updated for some time. The pillows were thin and very soft. That is when we discovered an empty Corona Light bottle on the floor. If it was there when we moved into the room, this is unacceptable. If it was not there when we moved in, then it is just down right disturbing. We also discovered that there was a bottle opener mounted to the bathroom door threshold.

Very small room with incredibly small bathroom. Okay for quick stay when not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. Great location for Hershey Park if you want to be close but not right in the center of town.

Location. Lack of wi-fi, hard to find heat, lack of towels/tp.

Room was not clean, furnishings were dusty. Lavatory stopper was not functional. Motel people did not fix. My son fixed the problem. Motel people were foreigners who did not speak English well and one was very hard of hearing.

Drove right up to my room. Nice quiet, clean place. Very friendly staff. If my family ever needs to stay in Hershey we will most certainly be staying there!

America best value Campbelltown has many flaws. For two people initially only one set of towels were supplied. Only a bath towel was supplied later. The bathroom shower had black mildew. The tub and rubber bath mat were very dirty. The shower faucet handles came away from the shower wall. The shower provided only a dribble of water. Water from the main bath faucet was good. It appeared as though a water flow reducer had been inserted. Needless to say no shower was taken. The occupants of the next room said the same thing. The room had enough space although somewhat dark and dreary. The outside door was difficult to open because it caught on the rug. At checkout I commented on the lack of water from the shower; the reaction received was a vague lack of understanding. Obviously I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay, in contrast though at other America best value we have had very nice experiences.
