The wooded location. Bathrooms seemed old and used. Needs new.

If you need a place to stay really cheap - it was clean enough. Area seemed a little scary - but was very quiet and safe. This place needs an upgrade - late 80/early 90 decor. Bedding could use upgrade. You don't pay much for a reason. It was clean though.

The bathtub had mold. The price was highly inflated for what we got. We were disappointed with the room mostly because of the inflated price.

Staff was friendly and helpful, towels were fine, room was clean.

Nice, clean place with great hottub and pool. I was pleasantly surprised after some of the previous posts, so I wanted to make sure to add my own here. It's basic, but clean, well kept, and with nice people running the place. The A/C was really loud, but the windows open so that's a nice option, and felt safe to do it. The only drawback is that it's right on the highway and you can hear the traffic.

I spent a weekend with my family at the Yosemite Westgate Lodge while visiting Yosemite National Park. This place is perfect for a family trip. The rooms are large and they offer all the amenities that you would expect in a large city hotel; for example, AC/Heating, Microwave and Fridge, hair dryer, and irons in all the rooms. The pool and spa are perfect. Rooms and premises were well maintained and clean. Check in and out was a easy. Staff was extremely friendly. Restaurant next door served good sized portions. I have stayed in many motels on this Highway 120 route to Yosemite and this is the only motel I would stay at from now on. The staff notified me that they were trying to get high speed wireless internet up to their location-- that would be a plus. I am personally in the hospitality industry and I could only imagine how hard it is to maintain this property due to the fact that the property is located in the Moutain's; but miraculously they did an outstanding job. I look forward to going back there next year and enjoying some more hiking and site seeing. OHH yea more importantly the rates were fair, especially for staying in a national park.

Quiet and reasonable price. The towels are thin and not white. It was yellowish and not white towels. We arrived at 11am to get the rooms as we wanted 2 rooms, but not allowed to check in before 3 pm. Yosemite Park is 12 miles away, we would like to check in and leave our luggage so we can go to the park and not have to come back out later to check in. We ended up wasting 2 hours round trip to get out of the park and check in, then re-enter the park later until we were ready to come back to the hotel to sleep. This is what I do not like.

It looks better than the pictures... it's a nice rustic place in the mountains... I'd definitely stay there again. Everything was very well kept and clean. I didn't feel like I needed to wear shoes anywhere, like I feel in many places we've stayed. The pool and hot tub were great also. As someone else said, the AC was really loud, so we left the window open all night instead. The only drawback I found is that it is right on Hwy 120, so you can hear the traffic.

Came in the Spring of 2008 for lots of hiking in Yosemite NP. Didn't spend much time at the hotel but after a long day of hiking, the jacuzzi sure was nice to soak in. Very clean room. Lots of hot water. Service was very good. Staff was friendly. Nice to have microwave and small refer in the room. Take into consideration the remoteness of this place and the services you do have here. Maybe the water supply reliability at different times of the year is beyond the managers control. Hotel was at maybe 1/4 capacity during our visit. Check out the hiking trail east of town. Walk past old gas station for 1/8 mile and head north. Saw lots of black-tail deer, quail, rabbits and lots of wildflowers.

The hotel was really cute - I really loved the pool and the hot tub. It was great at the end of a long day. Locationwas fine - about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley (after the entrance) - If you don't room inside the park or if it's too expensive - go there.

The hotel is located about 13 miles or 45 minutes from the greatest national park thus far in all my travels - ( Yosemite ) You can count on basic amenities, less a continental breakfast which was promised, because the hotel runs a restaurant next door. Overall it is a good place if you are unable to obtain a room in the park either due to funding or peak overbooking. I hope you enjoy the area - J.

Our stay at this hotel included complete lack of running water. Our toilet did not flush. Our shower did not work. We were offered a whopping 10% discount off our stay as a result of our inconvenience and they admitted it was the second time this has happened this year. No response from corporate after two letters sent. This place needs to be shut down as a health hazzard.

It's not too far from Yosemite. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The toilet did not flush well. It's what I expected for a one-star motel. My non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke, the toilet didn't always flush, and I think the mattress had bed bugs.

My family enjoyed our July stay at this motel since it is close to Yosemite Park and is on a less traveled entrance to the park. Our room was clean and the queen beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water. We were able to use the restaurant next door after a long day sightseeing at the park. Also, gas stations were closeby which is important in that remote area of California.

The manager was very rude and tried to charge ** for 2 children, which was not notified in the web reservation. The inn does not provide complimentary breakfast, and the restaurants near the inn were not open at 9 in the morning.I will never stay at this inn again."

Serenity in the mountains/pool/Jacuzzi. Lighting in room to dark. I really enjoyed my stay as the mountain atmosphere was very enjoyable, along with the eating facilities at the Buckmeadows Restaurant.

Location near Yosemite. Too expensive for the overall quality. It was the lodging nearest to Yosemite National Park on Memorial Day weekend, so I was stuck. In the future, I will plan in advance to get better lodging for my money.

Comfortable beds. Thin towels, weird plumbing, noisy and middle of nowhere. We were disappointed that it was an hour away from Yosemite Valley. We thought it was 12 miles - not having been there before. We were disappointed with the thin towels. You could hear the plumbing from other rooms. We didn't like the warning sign that said the place may cause cancer and birth defects outside our room.

Close to Yosemite Park. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Towels were well worn. Room infested with ants. Charged for dropped phone calls. The only good thing about this place was its closeness to Yosemite Park. Have stayed there in the past but seems that there has been a change in ownership and the place is showing signs of determination. Maintenance of the facility is poor. Plumbing in the shower drain did not work properly. Signs of wood rot in the bathroom. Toilet flush handle broken. Would not stay there again. Will stay in Groveland from now on. It was my choice going on past experience with this establishment.

We were looking for an economical place to sleep without any frills at an affordable price and this facility provided that Would have been nice to have an eating facility a little closer. Pleasant and economical, friendly and courteous staff. Lots of parking. Spacious rooms.
