Motel needs upgrades. Stuffing was sticking out of couch. Ice maker id not work.

Mattress cover had red stains; Bathtub had an old, torn rubber mat in the bottom of it that was stuck to the tub; Floor Rugs were torn, frayed, need shampooing or rather new rugs installed;

The first room we were given had mold growing all over the bathroom walls, so we requested a different room. They were very quick at getting us a new room, which was worse than the first one. It had cockroaches all over mostly little baby ones, but still. So we checked out, they were nice about this to. We then went and found a clean hotel room for less money.

Our first visit a year ago was fine for an in-and-out visit for one night; however, this time there were crickets in the room and there were loud thumping sounds from upstairs for good while - at least they stopped by midnight. The location is convenient if you are just passing through - the interstate is nearby.

On the positive side, the air conditioner worked nicely, it was quiet, the room had a new refrigerator and microwave, and the sink was separate from the bathroom. Unfortunately, the negative aspects quickly overode the positive. Over the course of our one night stay, we found 10 dead bugs on the floor, a dead cricket in the bed, and on the morning we left, a very old dead and flattened 3 inch frog. When we happened on the frog, I knew I must address it with the hotel staff. The lady at the front desk was appalled and offered a $20 reduction in room rate which I accepted, but in the future we will be staying elsewhere.
