Close to Ted Stevens airport, asked for a quiet room and got it, bedroom had double doors, living area had a pull-down bed which was actually comfortable, desk personnel friendly and efficient. Had a very early morning flight, so this hotel was very convenient. It is old and a bit worn, but clean.

Very warm and friendly greeting each time I went to the desk.

We are 3 Medical Doctors from Germany here on holiday. We found this hotel in a travel guide and it had great reviews. As we were to be in Anchorage 3 different nights during our stay we found this hotel would let us store our luggage here while went to Fairbanks and Barrow. The hotel is very nice with wondeful host. We liked that we did not have to pay extra for parking and internet like in many large hotels. Our suite was great, great beds, jet tub, mountain views and much more. A wonderful stay by all.

What a difference. We were in another Best Value Inn out by the airport. We left after 1 night because of the condition. We came to ths one The Anchorage Downtown Hotel/Americas Best Value Inn. Even though we did not have a reservation with them they honored our reservationfrom the other hotel. What a difference between the 2 hotels, The Anchorage Downtown Hotel is super clean, quite, well located and the owners are the nices people you wlll ever meet in any hotel. We finished our stay here and was 100+% satisified with everything.

Had unruly upstairs guests and screeching fan in bathroom requested a different room, was given it in minutes, was quieter and no screeching fan so much better!

Conveniently located, room was clean and updated, breakfast was good. One night of stay, there was a lot of activity above us resulting in a sleepless night. Good hotel for an interim stop, decent for the price.

A lovely little hotel just down the street from several of the mega hotels. This lovely little hotel is family owned and operated. The family will go out of the way to ensure your stay is delightful. The hotel is a modest property without the glitz of the megas. It is very clean and well maintained. But if you want glitz this is not for you. If you want a clen, safe, quite place to rest your head this is the one. Rooms have everthing the megas do and more than some. they have a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, cable wit 100 channels, wyfy and much more. The lobby of the hotel is much like somones living room, and it is a meeting place for the guest. It is more like a large B&B than a hotel. Lovely place to relax and meet new folks from all over the world. When we were there the guest came from 7 different countries, what a delight to meet and talk with travelers. This little hotel is a gem not to be missed.

Worst hotel experience in my life. I saty over 100 nights a year in hotels so I have seen them all this is the worst ever. Location sucks, staff rude, room dirty and they would not even send someone up to at least change the sheets, said they were to busy. Never ever stay here!!!!

Upon arrival I was informed there was a $100 refundable deposit. The room was comfortable but the tub was clogged with hair and there was dirt in every corner, the hot water out of the sink was rusty. I don't mind paying a deposit if it's for something worthwhile, but this room wasn't worth it.

The room was not clean. A heavy deoderant was used to mask smell. I would not stay in this hotel again. At any level I expect my room to be clean and this was not. There was hair all over the floor in the bathroom and there was mold around things. The staff were nice and accommodating but this didn't make up for the other. Also any work that had been done on this hotel was very amateurish. Wallpaper was cut crooked, the rug was funky, etc.

Nice room features and amenities. Near town and airport. Plenty of dinning options. Nice clean rooms. Comfortable furniture and surroundings. Pet fee is high. Would recommend and revisit. I have stayed several times.

This is a great small hotel. Better than many large chains we stay in. We are a traveling team that stays 100+ nights per year in hotels so we have seen them all. This little hotel rates right up there with the big boys. Location great, clean great, parking great, host great, beds great, a wonderfulexperience was had by all 6 of us.

i arrived at this hotel to find that it was actually closed for the season. there was a big no vacancy sign on the door but they honored my reservation because i had booked online and already paid for it. the owners just happened to live at the hotel or i dont know what i would have done. i got in my room and pulled back the blanket to get into bed and discovered the biggest pee stain i had ever seen. the comforter that i slept on top of was equally as disgusting. i also went to take a shower and found a huge clump of hair in the drain. i dont think the room was cleaned after the last guests left at all. i stayed here one night before i checked out and went to another hotel. by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in.

the rooms are simple, the internet worked pretty well. I would stay here again as long as I only have to pay under $70.00.

Internet service. Towels with big holes and thin as paper. Don't stay there unless you are desperate.

Great experience from the first contact to the last. They are very welcoming first class folks. The hotel is well located, with some mountain views, friendly efficient service. Comfy beds, great showers, lovely decore. A lovely small hotel recommend to all.

We were in Anchorage during the summer. We stayed at a darling little hotel for a week and we were 100% pleased. Now we are back during the off-season, our little darling hotel was full so we tried staying a this hotel. What a difference, this place has the worst service ever, the rooms were dirty, it had many drunks in it, the desk clerk said that is what they get during the winter, If this is the best they can do in the winter then they should close and only be open in the summer.
