The room smelled musty and the paint in the bathroom was cracked and peeling. It was very nosy. The secondary lock on the door was broken.

The traffic noise made it impossible to sleep. Housekeeping was terrible.

Definitely much better than what the other reviewers say. This was the only hotel we could find close to Muir Woods, so we booked it even though the reviews were bad. We were expecting the worst, but it was not bad at all. Clean room, comfy bed, good/hot shower, nothing fancy though. Location is good too - PF Changs, California Pizza Kitchen, Dennys, Safeway, Rite Aid etc all nearby. Two things - this place is close to the freeway. If you are a light sleeper earplugs would be a good idea. And the 'free continental breakfast' is a joke. All you get is danish, muffins, coffee, and hot chocolate. We had planned to go to Dennys right across the road, so it was not a disappointment for us.

"We were three couples in town for a birthday party and to hike the Dipsea trail. We only needed rooms for one night. The rooms were deplorable - stains on the carpets, cigarette burns on the painted furniture, horrible cigarette odor. We knew not to expect the Ritz...the rating was only two stars, but we expected a clean, comfortable room. Don't stay here. This was a Travel prepaid hotel and it was a hastle to get a refund."

What we were looking for was a clean, neat, inexpensive place to stay for two nights. The amenities are minimal, coffee and sweet rolls in the office, but adequate, and Marin Joes is right next door for meals or drinks. The value for the money was good as all we wanted to do there was shower and sleep and these were easily done in this room. For basic accommodations I would recommend it and we didn't hear the freeway.

It was very clean. Too much noise from the freeway. For the price it was fine.

Two queen beds, very, very cramped. Not very clean. No breakfast was available when we stayed, staff often not inn office.

Price and location. Was definitely economy. Hotel was 1/3 the cost of area hotels and provided a price conscious alternative for the business traveler.

I did not. It was smoke filled, dirty and I ended up reversing the charge on my card. Which they happily did. I did not stay there. Not good. Very dirty and worn. Burn holes in the furniture. Bad paint, smoke filled. Not refurbished at all. Very old. Yuck. Didn't stay the night. Checked out two hours after I got there. I couldn't breathe because of the smoke.

Great shower. Noise. The value seems good until you realize that the hotel is right on Highway 101!! All rooms face the highway so there is no getting around the fact that you will really feel well traveled after a night here. For the price I would have preferred a Motel 6 which might have offered a less noisy atmosphere. Ground floor meant I got to listen to the other visitors come and go.

Nothing. Cleanliness, noise, no microwave, no easy telephone access. This hotel should be taken off the list of recommend hotel. Cob webs were hanging off the ceiling. smelled liked smoke, linens were washed but needed to be replaced, no microwave, also the phone in room was not even the property of the hotel. the hotel was used for long termed stay with some scary looking people. Sink was dirty, lighting was poor. no sense of security with car or the room. The picture on the Internet is a lie, does nothing to describe the place and how nasty it was. My money was wasted on this hotel and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone! maybe it would be in your benefit to have someone check the hotels out! Do you need to hire someone to do this! I would be a good employee for this! Maybe a good PR for you!!
