The place is a dive, and has no business being rated 3 stars on the [...] website. Unsavory characters hanging around the grim parking lot courtyard, outdoor pool paved over, not a blade of grass or flowers, just blacktop.

The room has a funny smell which did not go away. Friendly staff offered another room, with same smell and closer to the street. We refused. Also it was an overpriced deal.

Stayed here during peak season on Cape Cod. Staff was very nice and friendly, helped when needed. Rates were cheap, nothing found to be wrong with room. Rooms were average motel rooms, I guess you get what you pay for, not in a bad way. Pool and hot tub were nice and relaxing. Overall I had a great stay here and would/will return.

I was satisfied to pay around 50-60% less than surrounding hotels (which did not offer wireless Internet) at this motel. I was there for business and I got what I needed: clean room, comfortable bed, hot water, reliable wireless Internet, 5 miles away from my target. Probably room was smaller for average American expectations; no problem for me. Remodeled bathroom. It had been 2 weeks since the motel opened for high season in Cape Cod, so swimming pool nor breakfast were operational yet. Small disadvantages: no ironing capability, no shampoo bottles.

Stay away from this place - it is just the worst place we have ever stayed at. No, and I mean no room service. Indicates it has been newly renovated - don't believe it!!!! The room was dirty - carpet was not vaccuumed - we were supposed to stay for 4 nights but we just could not wait to get of this place. We were very disappointed with this particular stay on Cape Cod.

The sheets in the hotel were stained. The comforter was very stained. The bathroom soap supplied was the size of a walnut. and not that thick. The staff was courteous and quick to give us our room. No remote even though he said he would bring it. No coffee until 930 and by than we were hungry and went out to breakfast. The place desperately needs a renovation. It was just not a place I felt I could rest my head and be comfortable in. I checked for bed bugs as the condition of the room made me look for them. Rugs were not cleaned properly either I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The room looked like it hadnt been vacuumed, Mirrors were so dirty you couldnt see yourself. Went to use the mini fridge and it was full of black mildew. Wanted to use the fan on the air conditioner and it was making a racket, Checked the filter and it was plugged solid. the hottub had dirt in it

This was a last minute trip with my 2 year old granddaughter.We liked the pool outside. The room was very clean.

The hotel room was very comfortable. The location was very good and there were lots of things to do around the hotel.

We stayed there last weekend and they were very kind to us and our dog...There was even a place to walk the dogs in the back of the hotel. We will be visiting again soon.

The American Host Hotel is a cheap hotel. That's what we came for and that is what we got. De sheats have holes and the towels are not white and shining. But: there is a icemaker and fridge and that is important. The room was clean. This is a perfect hotel if you want a cheap hotel and use it only for sleep.

this room was not very clean, found pretzel pieces on the floor near the bed, used soap in the shower, it was not very clean we showered with our flip flops on.
